I am going to have to tell you something about my previous trips to KI:

I've had 4 trips to KI in the last 4-5 years, but 3 of them were WinterFest trips, and the other one was a Halloween Haunt trip last year that was only open starting in the evening, and the focus on that was the haunts instead of the rides.

I haven't had a traditional KI trip since 2020, when masks were required due to COVID (and I got my first ride on Orion).  I've had more trips to Cedar Point (due to a family tradition), and I've also been to places like Hersheypark, Kennywood, Six Flags Great America, and (just last year) the three parks near the DC area, including the now defunct Six Flags America.  This year I am taking another CP trip before going to Canada's Wonderland and Darien Lake, and next year I am looking at going to the major Texas parks.

I live closer to Kings Island than any of these, but my attendance there has been fairly low as of late.  I see an off year after a major coaster year as a common occurrence, but the new Phantom Theater is not a major coaster.  Also, I'm not sure how much time Invertigo and Congo Falls have left, and it would hurt to have a potential empty zone next year right by the main entrance (unless there's visible construction for a major 2028 coaster).

Ir anyone is disappointed by the fact that there’s not going to be a major coaster opening at the park next year, that’s on you. Pretty obvious.

What I would like to see is a multi-inversion, multiple launch coaster in The Vortex plot of land for 2027.

I have several ideas that are not a B&M. I could go for a Mack Xtreme Spinning Coaster or a Vekoma looper, and lets make it 50 meters tall.  If Tony Carovillan could go ahead and get one of those put on the Six Flags credit card, we would all appreciate it!  🙂

Not to mention that the price of B&Ms might go up even more now that they're no longer being manufactured 30-ish minutes away...

No AlpenFury clones, but I could get behind a good AlpenFury successor. The capacity would be bad, but it would be very thrilling. As for the color I've been thinking about some dark green supports and yellow/gold track a lot recently.

Im going to stick with my gut and say park improvements and enhanced live entertainment and maybe a more stacked special event calendar with some pop up events like 5ks, food truck festivals, pass holder ride nights, maybe a concert or 2? Think 2008 or 2022.

Best case scenario for a new attraction we see a new flat ride or another expansion/renovation to the kids area or Soak City. I mean KD during their 2010-18 coaster drought got 2 Planet Snoopy expansions in 3 seasons.
