  1. Past hour
  2. Maybe not as delusional as you think... remember, wishes become dreams. And according to Disney, your dreams can come true. ;-)
  3. It also does not help that you attend Haunt and there are strollers with kids from 1 - 5 years old in them around the park. My youngest got to go to Haunt for the fist time last year. When I knew he was OK with it and would not ruin the fun for others. When he was 9, I did a test as we stayed long enough one Sat till the monsters were released on IS. We were on our way out of the park, but I noticed he was not a fan, so I did not allow him to go to Haunt that season at all.
  4. Today
  5. Cincinnati Fear Fest (Formerly Terror Town) in Williamsburg, Oh was pretty good, but took a big step back last year.
  6. That's kind of the point though. If you are easily traumatized then simply don't attend Haunt and ruin it for others? That's why there's the likes of Trick & Treats during the day time when there are no Haunts or scare actors running about. Not to mention there are plenty of other area attractions that would appeal to families and those who wish not to get scared. And to add to the part with the money going into the park, they are already up-charging enough things and making that dollar. Fear Fest during the Paramount days didn't have the no-boo nonsense people were just fine. I have fond memories of the park really having a more sinister "turn up the scares" type feel back then and man do I miss that.
  7. I’ve anyways wondered if they could keep the entrance where it is, but reorient the direction of the queue line towards IS. You could enter the queue where the face painting stand is and walk alongside the building until you turn into the current entrance of the building. That could solidify it more as an IS attraction.
  8. Their "bonus weekends" after HAUNT do not include Old Va, so Im sure thats why those gates exist, so they can close off certain sections. I'd bet they close the ones going to Candy Apple from the tower as well since theres access to that area from the parts that will be open
  9. New 2025 All Season Haunted Attraction Passes have been added to Discovery Kingdom and Magic Mountain's purchasing websites. The one at Magic Mountain is $69.00 (nice) for unlimited access to mazes at Magic Mountain's Fright Fest ONLY. The same is available at Discovery Kingdom for $65.00 for DK ONLY. Knott's is offering a new Knott's Scary Farm season pass add-on. It doesn't look like they will require a Haunted Attractions Pass, which would be good considering Scary Farm is already a ticketed event. No official word yet about the Haunted Attractions Pass from any other parks.
  10. 2026 Season Passes are now on sale for California's Great America Gold $75.00 Canada's Wonderland Silver $69.00 Gold $99.00 Prestige $199.00 Discovery Kingdom Gold $49.00 Prestige $145.00 Knott's Berry Farm Season $95.00 Gold $120.00 Prestige $245.00 Magic Mountain Silver $79.00 Gold $110.00 Prestige $175.00 The front-page promotion offers, "280 coasters, 130 miles of track, 1000 entertainment experiences, 970 water slides, and 500 live shows". For anyone wondering about the entertainment/shows claim, it averages out to around 19 live shows per dry park (26 w/out including SF America or SF Qiddiya City). That 1000 entertainment experiences comes to 38 per dry park; and no doubt includes the 500 live shows. These numbers probably include 1-2 day performances from local bands, fireworks shows, and small-stage performances; but man, it would be awesome to see more entertainment at Kings Island and the other parks across the chain overall. Looking at all of the leaks and now-published MVP sales it appears that the Silver Pass is now the limited offering, while the Prestige pass will be available at all parks except for California's Great America. Knott's Berry Farm also offers a "Season Pass" instead of a Silver Pass for some reason. Both Magic Mountain and Discovery Kingdom are now officially offering all-season Fast Lane pass add-ons, showing once again that Fast Lane will replace THE FLASH Pass at Legacy Six Flags parks. I wonder if there is a reason why 2026 passes went on sale today for the California amusement parks (they're not available on the respective CA waterpark websites), as opposed to the July 31st date given by Six Flags. In related news, check out these screenshots from the Knott's Berry Farm, Canada's Wonderland, and California's Great America apps, respectively: Notice how the Knott's and CGA promotions use the Legacy Six Flags logo, while the Canada's Wonderland promotion uses the new corporate Six Flags logo. Everything else is the same aside from the colors and KBF's use of their logo as well. The inconsistency makes me wonder if they're playing around with whether or not they want to keep using that old logo, or if they are being selective about where they use it at. In other news, after cancelling their Holiday in the Park winter event, Six Flags Over Georgia has now introduced a standalone VIP Tour opportunity. Great Adventure introduced a similar offering nearly a month ago, although I haven't heard anything about how it compares to other VIP Tours. If it is the same it (at the least) includes a meal, a snack, beverages, a dedicated tour guide, and VIP parking spots (different from Preferred). Kings Island also offers VIP parking between the Handicap and Associate lots, however I don't know who they use theirs for.
  11. If it is going to continue to legally be part of International Street, they should make that little plaza a little more distinct from Planet Snoopy. Remove the Peanuts theming from the Wind-Up or replace it with another small flat ride with theming related to whatever the dark ride would be. I'm sure the one at KD might also be a part of their International Street for this reason, though I'm not as certain. I understand keeping it there so that whoever owns the Peanuts brand remains happy, but the area seems to pretty much fully be a part of Planet Snoopy. Either move the boundary of the land or redo it and make it a part of Planet Snoopy. IMO the reason why the park should bring back the covered walkway between International Street and Rivertown is because then they could fully cut off access to Planet/Camp Snoopy during Halloween Haunt. Most of the pathway for it still exists, the issue is where the large chiller unit and rear access are located for Planet Snoopy Grill. The shaded area would be a good bonus as well. Movable planter walls or smaller permanent gates would block access to the area. That would also look much better than the rinky dink fences or string they tie across the vast expanses of pathway. I remember when they used to put the scrim curtain walls up along the route of Woodstock Whirlybirds. That seems like it would be just as easy to put across as the rope or the fences. Kings Dominion has gates (for what, I don't know) that can block access from International Street to Old Virginia and the Central Walkway. I believe there may also be two more going toward Planet Snoopy and Dominator, respectively. Funnily enough, both the BBoBH at Carowinds and at KD were once theaters as well. Carowinds' was the original Harmony Hall, while Kings Dominion's was an indoor theater in the Lion County Safari. The latter only uses the back portion of said building where the stage/backstage would have been. The front area is now part of a restaurant/bar. The big difference is that the buildings were still just smaller than the behemoth that originally housed the Enchanted Voyage.
  12. I’m looking forward to experiencing the new Summer Wine’d Down Festival at Holiday World. And yes, they have Tasting Passes! https://themeparksbydon.com/holiday-world-announces-menu-for-summer-wined-down-festival/
  13. Yesterday
  14. Legally Boo Blasters is on International Street (even though it’s in the same staffing section as Planet Snoopy). The other parks BBoBH have a different ride system and smaller show buildings compared to KI though.
  15. I'm not sure about C Wland or KD, but Kings Island 's Boo Blasters is actually part of International Street, I have been told.
  16. ^Basically a click bait article. People get evacuated off older rides as well, including Beast and Bat and Congo and Invertigo and even our B&Ms, to name a few. Doesn't mean they aren't safe. Of course if Sirens sensor throws a fault it is going to be at the tilt - that is where the most sensors are and shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone. Sirens Curse continues to have long lines, as does TT2, so the general public that actually goes to the parks are unfazed by it. As I have said before, and we may not like it, but they have the metrics and bids that show a ride opening "late" doesn't show a measurable impact on attendance, especially when they account for the savings by not paying a premium for a ride to be ready by season opening. Heck they have the metrics that show new rides regardless of when they open don't move the attendance needle. School trips and Music in the Parks will occur whether the new ride is ready or not. Passholders will show up whether it is ready or not. July is the summer money maker and sadly that is when they want the attractions ready. Maybe trends in the future will change that, but that is what the numbers are saying from a business standpoint. What we should be more worried about is them starting the season later or reduced operations like 9pm closes. I would rather the park be open in April and the new ride not ready until June than the park decide to open the season Memorial Day weekend. And with the whole push for comfortably crowded and chopping off days of lower attendance, nothing is safe right now.
  17. Six Flags Entertainment seems to be suffering a serious lack of management ability to construct and operate new and refurbished rides. If Cedar Point management hoped Siren's Curse would eclipse memories of the failure of Top Thrill II to properly launch last season, they were sorely mistaken. Current management seem experated in efforts to introduce quality rides on time, within budget, displaying acceptable reliability, and pleasing park visitors. Management has shown a frightening skill removing, closing, and discontuing attractions. Note such closures require limited management skills. https://nypost.com/2025/07/28/us-news/cedar-points-sirens-curse-rollercoaster-breaks-down-for-4th-time-since-opening-forcing-riders-to-scale-down-160-foot-tall-curve-video/?utm_source=aol&utm_campaign=nypost&utm_medium=referral
  18. I think there are plenty of wood coasters that should get the RMC treatment before anyone even parses the idea of doing it to The Beast. Giving up the title for the longest wooden roller coaster is not something the park should do, especially since they already seem to be making a lot of rough decisions for additions to the park. Leave the record-holding coaster, put something in The Crypt's building. I feel like any Boo Blasters retheme will take place at the same time for Kings Island, Kings Dominion, and Canada's Wonderland. Those three parks' BBoBH are all located in Planet Snoopy and would get similar updates.
  19. I went Friday as well and got on Siren's twice including once in front row. It was a fantastic ride and I wouldn't mind something like that eventually making its way to KI. Maybe a Vortex replacement? Imagine standing at The Beast's exit ramp and looking up and seeing a tilt coaster tilting.
  20. It would be nice to see the park also take some more preventative measures on these hottest days of the season. The extreme heat tends to make people sick more often, especially if they have not been drinking enough water or are baking in the sun and riding a lot of coasters. Part of the cleaning process is indeed to hose the car down, although I can't remember how many cycles it takes to clean them. Additional dedicated water stations (with cold water available), more shade (even temporary tents for shade), more fans blowing, and more trash cans would help. I'm sure the reduced number of ride operators and janitorial staff around the park does not help these situations. FYE Coasters recently posted a video where there seemed to be less trash cans in an area than there used to be. Can anyone confirm or deny that you've seen the number of trash cans change recently?
  21. Probably filming B roll for the PT revival about to be announced. (Delusional, wishful thinking)
  22. Was at the park last Wednesday. We stayed late for a beast night ride, Anyway, it was past 10 PM and as we were leaving, we cut through Rivertown and then through Planet Snoopy towards the exit. When we got to the Boo Blasters area, a security guard stopped us and said that we would have to go around because they were filming something at Boo Blasters. Now it is probably nothing, but with folks speculating about Boo Blaster's future, figured I'd see what you all thought.
  23. Just got back from CP and had a great trip. Despite the call for 40% rain it only rained Friday Night (after park close) and about an hour Saturday at 8pm (our party was at Tomo's during that time). Anyway, rode Sirens twice and it is a FANTASTIC coaster. Way better than expected. The sound helps so much to create an immersive experience and the lights on the train at night are incredible. Never saw an issue with the tilt and the first time I rode it got last row and it was INTENSE. Such a great ride. It exceeded my expectation just like Mystic Timbers did when it first opened. Waited 1.5 hours around 11am on Saturday and got in like at 10:30pm and waited an hour. The line keep moving only to be delayed by people who had metal on them and had to be wanded after the detectors, despite the repeated announcements. Fantastic addition, congrats to all involved as well as the ride ops! In an interesting note, it's been noted the several paintings of snakes and sunflowers around the old Snake River Falls site. Could it stand for S&S??
  24. I really can’t emphasize how much the park needs a good quality dark ride which hopefully we will be getting soon, it’s been such a long time since we’ve had one and it is such an under appreciated part of seasonal theme parks especially when everyone is focused on coasters
  25. Today, everyone at the park threw up. So as the train arrived to the station on The Racer, the kid in the row in front of me threw up on his seat. After the gates opened, I told one of the operators (glad I did since the floors for each car). They didn't even clean it properly. They ran the hose for 30 seconds and called it a day. I was glad to be on the next train. Then, in the UFO someone puked all over the railing and on the floors. This forum is full of people wanting the park to hire more staff in the Rides and F&B departments, but what I want is for them to hire more janitors so they could staff them at each ride. A clean park is what matters. What I consider a "proper cleaning" is running the hose on it and then using a disinfecting spray. Closing the entire train isn't neccesary, but the surrounding rows should run through the course. Also, I understand that workers can't see everything but if a guest says something they should get some kind of reward.
