Just enough daylight to be able to see the new lights installed around the Banshee station / plaza area...... (Image captured from Kings Island's Banshee Construction Cam) It also looks as if something was installed / planted in the ground between Slingshot and Banshee......Trees?10 points

Megan.. Because my ex's name was Megan..she would scream and shout all the time over stupid stuff to the point I wanted to bludgeon myself.. Banshee..scream you hear before you kick the bucket..seems fitting to me..7 points

Jason McClure, Matt Ouimet, and company take a spin on Banshee. Looks like they really enjoyed it! I wonder which brand new B&M they enjoy more, Gatekeeper or Banshee? Image can be found on Cedar Point General Manager, Jason McClure's Twitter page. EDIT: Is it me or does it look like they have AMPLE room between their legs and the restrains?6 points

Aight time for answers CP Gay Day is unofficial and is indeed on farthers day and is during public operation(though I'm actually thinking about making a committee and making a pride night for CP) KI pride night USE to be unofficial and during public operation, this was changed many years back and is now held as a private event on a bought out day in September. If this is your first time visiting KI Pride Night, it is a very nice night to go, you'll meet wonderful people, wait times are nearly non-existant, you don't have to worry about being judged for being openly gay since the park is closed to the general public. Yes anyone can attend, all you have to do is purchase a Pride Night Ticket, season pass nor a regular ticket will gain you entry to the event. The ticket sales go to the Cincy GLBT center and from there covers the costs of next year Pride night + center costs KI will REMOVE protesters and people looking to ruin our night. We haven't had much trouble except for 1 year when a group of people from a church gained entry to the park and were handing out pamphlets(which is actually against KI rules) and they were ejected from the park in a timely matter. List of things that go on Pride Night that don't go on Normal operating days. Drag queen show in the festhaus Music blasted throughout the park on all speakers(usually a DJ does this, its usually techno gay club mixes) Eiffel Tower lit up in rainbow. Water Park & Kids Area & Dinosaurs Alive are closed The park is open til midnight(I'm making a suggestion to extend this to 2am) Karaoke in the festhaus(this has happened off n on from year to year) Rainbow Flags everywhere Openly display about your sexual orientation without the fear of being ridiculed Drag queens riding rollercoasters6 points

It'll be a long few days for Don I'm sure. Probably finishing last minute stuff on Wednesday, at the park at 4am on Thursday, there until what, midnight Thursday night/Friday morning, to then return Friday morning and be there most of the day? But hey, it's gotta be a wonderful feeling seeing everything come together and the park to reopen6 points

With the new seating area in front of Delirium and Ice Scream, do you think the exit to Delirium may be directed to the back of the ride to prevent congestion in the area? seems like the area near the dive loop has widened and there is an opening (most likely a maintenance entrance) in the fence at the back of Delirium.5 points

Buy the strap. Probably much safer for the glasses being strapped to your head than getting knocked around in your pocket, or getting knock to the ground by a careless person. I know I paid too much for my glasses just to break them or loose them at a park.5 points

As a Father of a young gay Son I will be very happy to attend this event it raises a lot of money for the LGBT community and brings better awareness and education to everyone.5 points

It is like any regular day at the park plus 100 times better...lol You do not have to participate in anything you do not wish to. Just go enjoy the park. You will get a LOT of rides in that 6 hour time frame.4 points

What do I think we'll see? Basketballs. Inflated. Sigh. Terp, deflated.4 points

I wouldn't wish that name on anyone, but I had an ex who had more riders than Banshee probably has...3 points

Then what do you want us to do? Create unnecessary separate threads every time we want to ask about, join, or show off merchandise from various coaster clubs?3 points

With the recent passing of Fred Phelps, perhaps said church will fade into the dustbin of history along with other hate groups. Anyone who would protest at an event such as this (or at a military funeral), has bigger issues.3 points

Gay Pride day is excellent at either park, one of the most fun days in the park.. I'll never forget seeing drags exit the womens restroom at CP..The puzzled faces..beatiful.. In 2010 it was somewhat..awkward for straight families & stuff, you could see it. Last year was fantastic, didn't really see any of it. It's fantastic to see progress.3 points

I once rode by a gay couple on Drop Tower. The rest of my friends were to scared so I went by myself(there was no line.) So I got seated next to a gay couple. They were super funny and amusing. I totally forgot I was riding by myself. That encourages me to go and visit Gay Pride Night to learn more about it. Maybe I'll even see them there! Hahaha3 points

Most licensing for film presentations does not allow intermissions, unless the film originally had them. It is considered presentation of other than the copyrighted performance, which is not allowed.3 points

^I did too at first, I didn't know what he was talking about, it looked like a few posts were deleted. But yes, you have no clue how easy it is to get tested and be safe. Both you and your partner, do it.3 points

I owe you an apology, and I am truly sorry. I admit, I've had a rough time since starting the coming out process, and thought intolerance. I spent four months trying to "cure" or "fix" myself, so my mind automatically jumped to conclusions. Sent from my VS840 4G using Tapatalk3 points

There is a bone marrow transplant option, and they have been able to successfully prevent new born babies from contracting HIV from HIV+ parents. Know your status, and get tested. Gay or straight.3 points

^ Coincidentally, I recently filled out an online survey for Universal. They asked a lot of questions about whether or not I knew Universal isn't part of Disney. Apparently that's a common misconception?3 points

A conversation I just had two minutes ago with a couple of co-workers, about our supervisors who are away at a confernce in Orlando today through Friday: Co-worker 1: "I wonder if {Supervisor #1} and {Supervisor #2} were able to go to Disney World today." Co-worker 2: "They weren't going to Disney today." Me: "Yeah, they were going to Universal." Co-worker 1: "That's not part of Disney?" Co-worker 2 laughs Me: "No, they're different parks, owned by two separate companies." Co-worker 1: "Shows what I know..."3 points

Word to the wise, great event nothing against it.. However, get a locker that day or take stuff to your car..Everything was stolen from me that day...Some things I'll never have back.3 points

I think the last Easter I went, I was able to ride the Flying Eagles repeatedly with no wait. That won't be possible this year.3 points

I cannot wait to attend this again this year! I had a blast last year going for my first time. It was nice to be able to walk around the park with my girl without fear of being judged. I honestly could care less anyways what people think, but I will say that the atmosphere was totally different and far more relaxed, open and fun than any other time I have been at the park. Plus I absolutely loved the short lines and being able to grab two night rides on The Beast! I feel like this will be a great opportunity to grab a bunch of rides on Banshee too.2 points

Good question bud and Welcome to KIC if you have not been welcomed yet! This is a good question for the "Banshee Construction Thread". No need to create a new thread for it! Here is a link to it, go ahead and ask there! Thanks2 points

^^It's even marketed as Gay Day..not to be offensive, but it's what it's called.. ^You also forgot proposals..that was AWESOME when it happens..saw one in the Festhaus before, was amazing.. And Drags riding coasters..you have no clue how amazing that is..the ORPs are amazing to look at.2 points

Sent from my VS840 4G using Tapatalk It is alright m8, no harm done, I am anything butt intolerant. Although rather convenient, since it rhymes and all, can we please refrain from reffering to this, or similar events as "gay day".2 points

The only solid plan I have is Cedar Point. We booked a room at Sandcastle Suites. I've never stayed there so I am looking forward to that. I'm also looking forward to doing the Millennium walk back Sunday morning. I think we are going to plan on Fast Lane as well for Saturday. It will be a good trip. We are planning to go to Carowinds the end of June while visiting my brother in South Carolina but we will see if that actually happens.2 points

It's been getting more popular year after year. Honestly if I don't ride rides as much as say beginning of May, that's fine. Being around the Gay community is exciting and fun enough. First time I saw beach balls in Maggie's queue bouncing around again..2 points

I dont think so. Its too central of a location to put it there. Nobody wants the first thing they see when entering an area of the park to be a smoking area. Especially when it ha a beautiful new canopy above it. If I had to guess its probably some sort of eating area with new tables.2 points

if you look closely, they have poured a little square of concrete on the right side of the clothing and souvenir store. That is my guess as to where the lockers will be. I wish they didn't cut down all the trees that were over by Banshee and Xtreme Skyflyer.2 points

A new set of Antique cars and an Eli Bridge Ferris Wheel to replace the Basketball game near The Racer along with a renovation to Coney Mall, to resemble the old Coney Island a little more, would be pretty cool to see.2 points

The same ones as last year, honestly. I understand that you're excited about the new season coming, but its best to not crowd the forums with multiple different topics. Also, if you were to pose another question like this, it would go best under the section "KI Polls".2 points
