  1. First piece of track has arrived! https://x.com/kingsislandpr/status/1747324151919153244?s=46&t=_CJFgJAIuWrJWzFlR8tzXg

  2. So apparently Pig Pen's Mess Hall is a new restaurant but exactly where is it going in Camp Snoopy? There are some storage containers besides Snoopy Boutique. Could they be retrofitting that building or is it going elsewhere?

  3. 5 years ago today, this change was announced: https://www.facebook.com/share/v/Qcwud9zkXvZpdasi/?mibextid=WC7FNe It's amazing how the video attached with the announcement showed the scope of work being done.

  4. Ha! That, or the random IT guy who programmed it didn’t know the difference. But hey - if they’re going to drop clues, we’ll take them!

  5. Listen, the park can try and spin it any way they want as to why Coasterstock didn't return this year, but "timing" isn't why. The event had an acknowledged reputation as one of the finest park-hosted events in the amusement and theme park industry. It sold out in less than 10 minutes. A park doesn't cancel an event that is highly successful and means so much to the attendees because of timing. It took place the same weekend every year since its inception outside of 2021 when it took place later in the summer due to COVID-19 and not knowing what the restrictions might be going into the season. So no, it's not because of timing. What the real reasons were, that will be discussed on an upcoming episode of Tower Topics. Much like what the park put out there, you can choose to buy or sell the reasoning the podcast provides. While Coasterstock isn't returning year, Kings Island has replaced it with the equally exciting American Coaster Enthusiasts 2024 Spring Conference. The 2014 ACE Spring Conference was held at Kings Island, and it was nothing short of amazing! The members of ACE involved in planning the club's events excel far more than I did. All of the ACE events that I've participated in are a testament to their expertise and dedication. If you're not an ACE member, I highly recommend that you join so you can take part in the Spring Conference. It's going to be a terrific event! The park's announcement of Coasterstock returning in 2025 seems ambitious, especially considering the imminent merger between Cedar Fair and Six Flags. Mergers often bring changes, including personnel adjustments, and nobody knows exactly what that might entail.

  6. I'm not really sure what happened but by late season the road wheel paths on Diamondback's rails, particularly on the lift hill and other near-midway sections that were painted first, already had the paint worn off and appeared to be on bare steel. Maybe they started running trains too soon after the paint was applied? Even here, just on the lift hill itself, it's visibly worn and the same can be seen on the water brake stretch.

  7. Do you honestly think people are going to read all these words when you could have just said, "I'm Chad?"

  8. Remember early in the 2023 season when the Planet Snoopy webcam was randomly switched to Camp Snoopy? I guess we should have seen it coming lol.

  10. Don and I reported on the Pick Six that Holiday World had said on their podcast that their Vekoma Family Boomerang was promised to be the first one to open in America, thus Soapbox Racers wouldn’t open with the park on April 20. I cannot tell you how many times people came to us from “official sources” claiming that it wasn’t true and that we didn’t know what we were talking about. A smear campaign. If the quote above is true (and who knows what is anymore) then Camp Snoopy is, and always was, planned to open late. They knew about the Holiday World situation. Otherwise, why would, “on schedule” mean “late Spring?” Who would intentionally do that?

  11. The ending just seemed to get cut off. I would hope that was just some uploading glitch? I have seen some podcasts have an abrupt ending to that I don't think was intentional. Hopefully we see a revised one that has an ending.
