  1. People always bring up Fury 325 in comparison to Orion on forums and Facebook...to me, Fury ranks lower than Orion (I've said this before) because after the tunnel it's like they tried to figure out how they could get back to the station and what they came up with did nothing for me...made it feel less complete as a whole ride. Whereas, Orion feels complete. It's as if those on forums and facebook pages (yeah I'm calling out my page) are the ones who overanalyze and become unenthused as coaster enthusiasts when it's something they personally don't like.

  2. No. There were and still are other things the park has needed since Orion debuted.

  3. Vekoma has really upped their game. All of their recent designs and track layouts have been stunning.

  4. Working in school systems, I can say, the grad classes of this world and time, can't handle it, at least here in Ohio.

  5. I know we have talked on here how we all want the front gate area to be completely changed....I'd be fine if they'd just upgrade and make the entry plaza more cohesive. I hate when I park in the south lot and can't use the security on the south side of the plaza...it's a pain in the @$$ lol. It's also a pain when they only staff the south side and I park in the north. Staff both or renovate to make the center area the access more guest friendly.

  7. Or just keep it simple and open a new looper and just reuse The Vortex name. Its a household name and it leans into the park's affinity for nostalgia. The park has now had two Bat coasters, while the current one was not originally named that upon its opening, it still bears the name of a historic landmark coaster. And we are literally getting an updated Phantom Theater which bears the same name + some extra verbiage. I think older fans would appreciate the nod and the new generation would have their own Vortex to grow up with.

  8. The more I think about it, I think a ride like Big Bear Mountain named Shooting Star themed around the drive in display at Winterfest would fit very well in that area of Coney Mall. Imagine the theming opportunities they could have. I would honestly love a 50s themed coaster to go along with Jukebox Diner.

  9. I believe all of this could be done without leveling any of The Vortex plot. Instead of an entirely new themed area, it might be easier to bring back the "Old Coney" name and realign the midway. That frees up space for a larger indoor dining location, fixes the kink in the midway brought on by KMAA, and could still allow for a new flat ride to go back there depending on how everything is placed. Jukebox is replaced by the new indoor restaurant and Coney Potato Works could make a comeback to give purpose to that seating area (and provide another dining location). This all could probably happen for much less money while killing a few birds with one big boulder. Here's a mock-up I've been working on for another topic thread to better show the idea. It does include the removal of WindSeeker and the addition of a new dark ride in Action Theater, but that would come at a later time.

  10. Big Bear Mountain is a nice ride, but personally I'd rather have them either commit to a definite family attraction or a definite thrill ride. We already have the middle of the road covered quite nicely with Adventure Express, Queen City Stunt Coaster, and The Bat. An attraction like Fire-in-the Hole on the family end or Alpenfury on the thrill end makes sense to me.

  11. The database that needed to up was upgraded was done this weekend by @malem . 🥳 With that announcement, let's make sure our forums are not a threads of emoji codes by using emojis sparingly. 😁 Thanks for your help on behalf of the KIC Admin. 🙂

  12. Magic Kingdom. The level of detail at Disney Parks is incredible. Also, it would be nice if Kings Island had more ticketed events. For the most part it seems they do one event a year. Coasterstock being last season and this year being the ACE spring conference. Once you have a decent amount, if not, all the season pass add-ons, there is really nothing else you can do to elevate your day at the park other than maybe purchase some snacks and souvenirs. KI doesn't offer behind the scenes tours, no After Hours, no dining with Peanuts Characters. I'll beat the dead horse of KI should also increase their season pass price to enhance the guest experience in the park overall.
