Condemned doesn't necessarily mean it has to be demo'ed. It just means a process of rehabilitation and inspections to be done to get it able to be permitted for use again.
In the case of KI a parking lot roller coaster. going along the old Colombia road between Great Wolf Lodge and the front gate beside preferred parking would be a fantastic location for a thrill coaster.
growing up walking towards the entrance in the parking lot Face/Off was such a awesome introduction. Made the experience of walking into a park that much more memorable. Same with GateKeeper and Fury325 among others.
I don’t think we need a front gate coaster like Cedar Point as the Eiffel Tower is the main focus point but a coaster by the side of the main gate as I stated above would be a very welcome addition.
I noticed today that all 3 flashlights in the car were permanently turned on and the buttons didn't do anything. Definitely a good change, with how many of the buttons had been broken or difficult to press.
We had a nice ride through the theater tonight with some surprising ups and downs. I'll try to limit my extra wording tonight by giving you all a list.
Downs: Some of the flickering lamps in the station and the Audience Seating scene are very dim/off. Maestro's head appeared to be permanently turned instead of moving like it normally does. Garbonzo's cannon didn't fire at all and the crates were resetting as we rode past (the timing was off for the scene). Houdelini's entire scene was muted.
Ups: We heard lots of music throughout the entire ride! The ghost notes at Larry's turntable have finally returned to their normal size. The gargoyle's eyes were on, the first boiler screen was on, and the constant radiant heat for the first boiler was on!
They definitely need some fans in the queue for the hotter/more humid days to keep the air moving. The A/C works well, but it needs help just like in the Festhaus.
You can see remnants of Wolf Pack with the removal of some of the rails and air gates, as well as wooden platforms placed above some of the track sections to be used as bridges for the haunt maze.
Someone on Reddit was able to explore some of the station and queue area with permission by the park recently. Kinda surreal to see how overgrown it is over there.

That is a great article Don. I love this idea. I also think the tasting cards need to come back for Food and Wine and Grand Carnivale. When we went to Silver Dollar City a few weeks ago, my whole family bought tasting cards and it was a lot of fun. Like you said, we were like, "what do we want to try next." The cards make it fun, which gets people to spend money. I have refused to purchase food at KI's events since the cards disappeared.
I think if they designed the ride the way it is, we’re really just nitpicking and they’ll probably never make any changes to the ride since a majority of people don’t really notice.
I think the ride vehicles need to be paired with how the effects of the ride and layed out. It certainly doesn’t make for the better ride, but I actually enjoy how blatantly some of the lines repeat. I quote “Are you ready to be an usher? It’s 10 minutes til showtime!” daily. It’s also interesting to me that for that first Maestro/Larry scene, they had seemingly recorded different audio that went unused (as heard in that b-roll footage all the news stations were given).
