I went to Spirit Song in both 2014 and 2015. I saw Chris Tomin, Third Day, TobyMac, Skillet, Lacrae, Matthew West, and tons more here those 2 years. I didn't go to any of the concerts that they held this past year. I did hang around Action Zone when the Avett Brothers played, but it wasn't long. I also was up on the tower working when 3 Doors Down played so I got to see a little bit of that. It was nice they finally brought concerts back and I'm still holding out hope they do them again next year and if they bring in an artist that I would likely be interested in then I'd probably go, but we'll see.

Discussing Land and Space in and around Vortex
Hawaiian Coasters 325 replied to Klabergian Empire's topic in Kings Island
I like it. What manufacturer would this be? Mack? Intamin? Vekoma? Gerstlauer? -
if true I hope it is something like KD's Grain & Grill. I've heard it is one of the best restaurants at KD. However, at the same time, we already have 2 new restaurants coming to Adventure Port with Enriques and the Mercado. Honestly, I also think this would be the perfect opportunity to completely redo Festhaus and cut both Panda express and Larosas (we have 2 other larosas already so it wouldn't hurt to cut the Festhaus one) and give the Festhaus German food like BGW's Festhaus.

^^if Vortex's plot isn't used for a coaster and this happens. I think they should add another flat in the area where the batwing was. Like add some retaining walls and flatten it and put a musik express there and add as many trees as possible to hide the still an empty hole behind it from the pathway.

There were so many amazing things about this season so I don't really have a favorite! My favorite show probably was Phantom Theater Encore! Even though I never got to ride the old Phantom Theater as it closed like a month after I was born, it was a well put on show and I loved all the stuff they put on display in the lobby from the old ride. I still am holding onto hope that one day they redo Boo Blasters to become a reborn Phantom Theater. Fun fact: I actually helped close Boo Blasters yesterday and everytime I work the ride, I keep thinking how much Phantom Theater needs to return in some form in that building. Anyways, I really applaud the park for such an amazing celebration this year! They really knocked it out of the park especially with all the shows they did this year as well as the repaints and TLC to make the park look great! While I said PT encore was my favorite show, I didn't include Fun, Fireworks, and 50 as it is in its own world. Literally, everytime I would see the show, I would get that feeling where I would almost cry. This firework show was literally on the level of Disney's fireworks. I want to give a huge round of applause to the people who would set up the drones every night, got the fireworks ready, and launched them every night in sync with the soundtrack as if it were the 4th of July every night. You guys rocked!

Adventure Port Construction Updates
Hawaiian Coasters 325 replied to IndyGuy4KI's topic in Kings Island
Hopefully the park puts a webcam up for this and gives us of updates on Social media. I'd like to see them do a YouTube construction series -
Especially Boo Blasters! Like seriously everytime I go in Boo Blasters queue and see them on, I just cringe. I think there is a time and place for FunTV's, a dark ride is not one of them. The whole point of a dark ride queue is to build up to what you are about to ride. It is supposed to be theming, NOT advertising/playing popular songs on a TV screen lol.

Kings Island Announces Adventure Port for 2023
Hawaiian Coasters 325 replied to Coasterteam's topic in Kings Island
I'm thinking we'll likely see the concrete ripped up and replaced with pavers. One thing I'm concerned about with the decorations is how are the Grand Carnivale floats going to fit through there with the flags flying there? Will they be high enough so the floats can go through? Will they reroute the parade a little bit? We know Carnivale is coming back next year. -
Kings Island Announces Adventure Port for 2023
Hawaiian Coasters 325 replied to Coasterteam's topic in Kings Island
I wonder if this area will get a show similar to Kings Dominion's Lets get Wild. Looking at one of the pictures of the renderings, it looks like there is an art designed circle in the midway across from Sol Spin that looks similar to the circle lets get Wild sits on. -
Based on what what recently announced with Adventure port. I decided to make a little AZ retheme idea based off of what they're going with in Adevnture Port. The way I'm going with this is they can tie all the AZ rides into being a sort of shipping/containment facility. Like with Banshee, I have it being Outpost 14 and its story is it is a containment facility built on the old site of the Outpost 5 shipping/containment facility (SOB) and it contains ghost creatures. The Bat I have it being Outpost 93 where it is a containment facility that started out as an airplane hangar (Top Gun/Flight Deck), but invasive Bats started flying into the area so the hangar had to shut down and it became a place Bats are kept. The possibilities here are endless. Remember just an idea. Another thing to keep in mind is I believe B&M released a patent earlier this year of a train design that is a sit down lap bar basically B&M's take on the modern Intamin/Mack trains. Maybe KI could be the first park to try that out?

I consider Coney Mall to be two sections. Do you?
Hawaiian Coasters 325 replied to SonofBaconator's topic in KI Polls
I was actually thinking about that when it comes to replacing Vortex. Make the whole area that includes Vortex's replacement, Backlot, antique autos, SR&R, WindSeeker, and the jukebox diner into its own separate area. Maybe do what Valleyfair did with Route 76 and call it Route 72 and have it be 1950s/60s style theming with overhead lighting and stuff.- 27 replies

Kings Island Announces Adventure Port for 2023
Hawaiian Coasters 325 replied to Coasterteam's topic in Kings Island
Honestly, I don't think the park is done with announcing things. I honestly think we'll see more food options/restaurant upgrades next year. That's the kind of stuff they usually announce over the off-season. I think this would be a great opportunity to redo Festhaus and add German food (think BGW's Festhaus). I don't think LaRosas or Panda Express belong in a German cafeteria. There are already 2 other LaRosas in the park and KD removed their Panda Express for Grain and Grill and I believe Carowinds is removing their Panda Express for Hugos so I think we eventually see Panda Express leave. Also, if you redo Festhaus, at least make the side facing Action Zone look better so it doesn't look like a metal polebarn. Also, I wouldn't be shocked if we see Subway get replaced with some kind of Hot Dog stand like CP did. Not to mention I'm hoping we see some kind of food/wine/brew/bbq festival in the spring. There's also hoping for Diamondback to be painted. I'm also hoping we see more pavers in other areas. The area under and around the Eiffel Tower plus Rivertown come to mind when it comes to adding pavers. There's just so much that I hope happens and lets continue speculating as I think we'll continue to see more surprise announcements over the off-season. -
Kings Island Announces Adventure Port for 2023
Hawaiian Coasters 325 replied to Coasterteam's topic in Kings Island
I have a strange feeling that's for 2024 if 24 isn't a coaster year. In the past, we've gotten waterpark stuff in leap years (2004, 2012, and 2016). Exceptions were 2008 (paramount theming to CF theming transition year) and 2020 (Orion). -
Kings Island Announces Adventure Port for 2023
Hawaiian Coasters 325 replied to Coasterteam's topic in Kings Island
CF didn't do any in-person announcements this year. I honestly hope this isn't CF trending away from in-person announcements. The atmosphere of the Orion announcement was top notch and I hope that for whatever coaster they build next, they do a similar announcement at night. -
New KI Capital Announcememt TOMORROW!! 10/19/22
Hawaiian Coasters 325 replied to scoriell's topic in Kings Island
While I'm not ruling out just year round operations, KD and Carowinds didn't drop any teasers yesterday regarding their announcements today. It just came out of the blue kinda like the prestige passes. I could see them announcing year round operations along side a ride/waterpark attraction announcement kinda like when KD announced Winterfest alongside TT. -

Something I just saw when it comes to Daniels Woodland is that they also do playgrounds. Ik this may sound like a stretch, but I think Planet Snoopy could use a nice playground for kids to play on when they're not off riding rides. CP has one in Forbidden Frontier and I believe Carowinds has one in their Camp Snoopy. Dollywood has a nice indoor one in Wildwood Grove. Looking at some of these pictures on their website, they look to have nice theming to them. You could do a nice one with theming to fit Planet Snoopy. I don't think it would be too expensive and likely wouldn't take too long to install. You could easily put one in the current Peanuts Galley/old petting zoo area. https://www.danielswoodland.com/playgrounds/index.html Also another thing is Jack Rouse seems to do Interactive Experiences/Themed areas. Looking at their website, they did Steelers Country at Kennywood, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, Crayola Experience in Easton Pennsylvania, and most recently the Dallas Mavericks interactive experience at the Texas State Fair. https://www.jackrouse.com/ Based on all this, could we maybe seeing our version of Cedar Point's Forbidden Frontier? Time will tell. I'm starting to feel that this is an unannounced thing for 2023 as I feel as if for 2024, they would've listed 2024 along with 22 and 23 kinda like the one for Orion where it said "2018, 2019, and 2020 additions and modifications to Kings Island Park". We'll see though. We're likely in for an interesting off-season ahead. -

And that is if it ends up going in The Vortex plot. It very well could go in Action Zone. We'll see though. -

Or with Mystic Timbers with the "doggone it did the cat get out of the bag" or "stumped?!" Or "ride sally ride" with Diamondback -
Honestly I really enjoyed this last year. I can understand why they didn't do it this year as it didn't really fit with the 50th celebration, but I hope this returns next season! I enjoyed the vibe of Area72 during this.
