  1. If you look at the color key on the first page, the design that is on that circle thing that people think is a turn table is actually a concrete pad for attraction theming. Also, it looks to have multiple of those pads for theming throughout the layout so we're likely looking at theming props during the ride. Also, they seem to be doing concrete around the ride entrance instead of pavers. In fact, the only paver part is a small little plaza across from that circle thing. Also, I'm interested in the queue layout as it looks like the queue goes back behind the haunted house and snakes back to the station. Hopefully it gets the go ahead as it looks like an exciting project.
  2. Ikr we hear this every single year. Like how long has Timberwolf been rumored to be removed? Probably since Paramount owned the park. I think we should all accept that Timberwolf is likely not to be removed unless they absolutely need the space which Kings Island does not lack at all (there's literally a big empty hole in the back of the park that would be perfect for a multi launch). Plus, even if it's not every day or always big concerts, they still use Timberwolf for Music in the Parks as well as select events like Spirit Song or the concert series from last year, They also use the stage for WF/Haunt assembly. EDIT: Another thing I might add about the screenshot/link is there is no date set yet so don't take this like an official announcement. They have yet to post about it on their social medias. I'd take this as evidence pointing towards it returning, but not 100% confirmation. I just noticed the site changed from "Spirit Song will be back" to "see you in 2023". Very likely them getting the site ready for an announcement, but again nothing is confirmed until they announce it for themselves which if I were to recall, it was around this time in 2020 they announced the dates and the lineup for the 2020 festival which of course ended up getting canceled due to covid.
  3. Live nation is already used for Riverbend though. I'm sure the park has tried, but with how outdated the venue is no matter how many times they try to fix it up, I believe live nation themselves know that artists would choose Riverbend over Timberwolf. Plus Riverbend has more than twice the amount of capacity than TW especially with the large grass area.
  4. Straight from the Spirit Song website: Looks like it's back folks! https://www.spiritsongfest.com/
  5. The concrete for 72 was to fit with the flight base theme. Flight bases have concrete/blacktop.
  6. Concrete being dug up by Hanks (soon to be Enrique's) hopefully pavers being installed....
  7. Well it very well might. Didn't Mike point you out and aknowledge the idea at Coasterstock? He must really like the idea. Hopefully corporate agrees.
  8. I'd rather have the Crypt building be used for some sort of indoor ride that families can ride like a flying theater or what @Cedar Fair Fanboy always says, a vekoma madhouse. It would provide another Winterfest proof ride and another air conditioned ride to escape the heat or bad weather.
  9. Looks like digging by former Hanks (soon to be Enrique's) has started. There's a digging truck in the bottom left corner of the cam. Also, there looks to be work going on near Racer's exit and there are trucks behind the games building (former Skylab queue)
  10. Idk how it works, but I believe the Kings Island Inn kept the Kings Island name even when KI didn't own it.
  11. Gone way too soon. Was hoping he would eventually make another appearance at KI. Praying for his family.
  12. This will honestly fit better with Rivertown. Gives Diamondback a little more of a rustic look and no more McDonald's lift hill lol.
  13. They used to have a walking trail by The Beast many years ago. Also, the pathway from the leftover part of Dinos Alive that wasn't used by Orion is still there. Maybe if they want to, they can do something like Forbidden Frontier back there.
  14. Actually, I know it's the gravel and that is not what I was sharing. I was mainly sharing the white thing to the left of the gravel and the white/black thing behind the tree to the right of it and the day I posted it, it looked like there was some digging going on on the ground there, but again it is hard to tell from the webcam. I agree, it is likely nothing, but it's usually fun to speculate. I'm glad I learned my lesson about messaging media personel. I will never ever do that again even though I actually like John and it was great to meet him at the Orion announcement.
  15. I wasn't here back in 2016, but I believe the demolition of the funnel cake stand that led to Mystic Timbers was caught on the KI Webcam back then. Did the park move the cams back then?
  16. Yes, but what is that white thing in the left part of the circle I drew. Or (ik it is hard to tell from the webcam), the white thing behind the tree that from here looks like one of those digging trucks (from where I was watching, it looked like it was moving and digging, but again it is hard to tell.)
  17. Which is barely 60 feet tall and not supposed to open until Summer 2024. I never said TTD was for sure not being done by Zamperla, I'm just saying I have a hard time seeing them go with a company who's prototype model isn't supposed to open until Summer 2024 and the tallest coaster they've built is less than 200 feet tall. I just feel going from barely 60 feet to 420 feet would be a huge undertaking and a bigger risk than going with Intamin or Mack but that is my opinion. Again, I could see them investing in this for like Xcelerator at Knott's, but I think they wait and see how the lightning train performs before taking on the investment.
  18. I have a hard time believing Zamperla is the one doing Dragster as the first lightning train coaster is set to debut in Summer 2024. CP tends to open their coasters in the spring and I think 2024 is when they open the reimagined TTD. Plus, that would be going from barely 60 feet tall to 420 feet which would be a lot for Zamperla. I could maybe see CF doing Zamperla for Xcelerator at Knott's if the prototype in Canada works out, but I don't think TTD is it as I think CF would want to wait to see how the lightning train performs before investing in their own. I could very well be wrong though.
  19. I must be living under a rock. Can you explain to me what KI Universe is?
  20. I used KD's just so we could get an idea, but I agree I think the play structure would be larger like that mainly so the current structure splash landing can be mainly reserved for little kids and the new bigger structure would be for everyone. I also put the mini wave pool in like KD so we can still sorta have a "second wave pool" but for kids.
  21. We all know it's long overdue for Soak City to receive some love with the last addition being Tropical Plunge in 2016. I decided to dream up an expansion idea that would be Soak City's largest expansion in years. I based it off of recent CF trends with waterpark additions as well as something new and unique for the area. Here's are what the numbers mean: 1) Twisted Pipeline: a White Water West slidewheel. The second in America. The only other one being Medusa's Slidewheel at Mt Olympus. The ride I used for the overlay is one at Chimelong Waterpark in China. Let me say it fits really well and would be very unique for the park 2) Little Miami cliffs: a cliff jumping experience similar to Mountain Bay cliffs at Canada's Wonderland. Guests would have 3 different levels to jump from 3) Miami River Lookout Landing: a large multi story play structure more than twice the size as the other one (splash landing) would feature more thrilling slides, 2 large buckets, multiple dumping/splashing equiptment that would make for a very fun experience for people all ages. 4) Little Miami waves: a kids wave pool with smaller waves for those who aren't quite ready for the large waves of Tidal Wave Bay. Both the play structure and mini wave pool would replace the current smaller wave pool like KD did for Coconut Shores 5) Beach Street: a food truck inspired dining location with multiple food offerings like walking tacos, pizza, seafood, etc as well as a stage with live music on select days in the summer just like KD. Would replace the current pirate ship play structure. However, the additions of the mini wave pool and bigger play structure would make up the loss of that. Remember, this is just a concept. Nothing has been confirmed by the park, but this was fun to make and it took a while which is why I'm releasing this at almost 2 in the morning lol. Here's the picture. Enjoy and let me know your thoughts!
  22. Like I said above, when it comes to live music outdoors, it's kinda hard to plan for that on NYE here as weather is very unpredictable. I think if they were to do a live band or live bands on NYE, Festhaus and Brewhouse are likely where they do them.
  23. An idea I thought of is what if they had a live band come in and do a performance in between the balloon drop and the main countdown to midnight? Ik the first year they did the NYE thing, they had River City come in and play between the balloon drop and midnight, but the last few years they haven't had any live bands do things? I believe Carowinds had a live band play as part of the NYE thing this year on their bandstand. Obviously the weather is too unpredictable here to plan for a live band on the bandstand on NYE, but why not bring in a live band to play in the festhaus after the balloon drop? Just a thought.
