  1. Honestly I think both Aunte Anne's and Cinnabon could be on their way out. The park's culinary team could easily create their own copycats of them. Like Aunte Anne's could become a German pretzel stand that serves like pretzel sandwiches and pretzel hot dogs like BGW has. I'm sure also the park could create their own cinnamon roll recipe as a replacement for cinnabon. I also think down the road we see LaRosas in the Festhaus get taken out and replaced with a more German place with flatbread pizza like BGW has in their Festhaus. I also think a Hugo's would be nice in the park especially with a pasta bar where you can build your own pasta.
  2. That's opposite of what I grew up with lol. My family hardly ever ate Skyline or LaRosas in the park. It would usually be a special occasion for us to eat in the park period. This was well before the dining plans were a thing. Like we would sometimes pack a lunch and go out to the car and eat or eat before we come or after we leave. LaRosas and Skyline usually we would get outside the park especially skyline on Wednesday nights where my closest one would do kids eat free night lol.
  3. I'm guessing they're going to have that area blocked off for now while they finish construction.
  4. You know what would make spring even better... doing a food/drink event like Frontier Festival at Cedar Point! Also seems like they'll have live music on the bandstand during the spring part. If I were to guess probably a Hifi Honey/River City rotation. Not knocking them though as they do an excellent job, but there are other local bands that I would love to see get a shot during that time period as well. Maybe do a "Bands in Residence" program like Cedar Point and Carowinds do. Also seems like Fun, Fireworks, and 50 will run for a second season. Not surprising as it was so well done and usually shows tend to run for 2 seasons.
  5. Also seems like unlike KD, ours won't have the beef sirloin which is honestly kinda disappointing as I was looking forward to having steak at the park. However, the full menu hasn't been released yet so holding out hope that beef sirloin gets added down the line as I've heard the beef sirloin at KD's Grain and Grill is really good.
  6. Even though he didn't provide his source and is the same guy pushing the Zamperla Dragster rumor, Eltororyan did say that from the "industry rumblings" he heard, CF executives after checking out Velocicoaster were very impressed and they want to do multiple Intamin LSM launch coasters. Here's the video he says it in. Towards the end of the video:
  7. I would rather we not get a dive coaster or another B&M for that matter next. 3 of the last 4 coasters were B&M so I think it is time to get another manufacturer a shot. A Mack multi launch would be a great fit. However, my main want is an Intamin multi launch like Velocicoaster or Maverick, but that is if CF decides to go with Intamin. I also wouldn't rule out a modern Vekoma launch like Abyssus at Energylandia. In fact that coaster has the same signature batwing element Vortex had and you could place that right in the same spot as the old batwing. Would be a good nod to Vortex.
  8. While it would likely be a Mack, I would prefer an Intamin with that. I really enjoyed Velocicoaster and a stall like on Velocicoaster or Pantheon would be unique for the park. Having it go over the pathway would be cool. Do it like Steel Curtain where there is an airtime hill and a stall underneath it.
  9. Not saying it is going to happen, but you can fit a surf in if you just tear down the SOB station and use the wooded area along the parking lot and between Bat and Timberwolf. Just a rough drawing I came up with. It also has an MCBR to allow it to run 3 trains.
  10. If I remember correctly Racer's repaint wasn't done opening weekend. In fact, I don't think it was completely done until like May and they kept operating Racer and used time the park was closed during the week to finish it.
  11. Also seems like they are doing what the park did with the concert series last year where the concerts don't include park admission and they'll utilize the separate entrance to Timberwolf the park added last year. I'm interested in seeing how this works because in the past they usually had booths set up for different ministries that even spilled out in front of Congo Falls and people could just go in and out. I believe Star 93.3 would usually have a booth in front of Congo Falls and artists would tend to stop by it. Obviously if tickets don't include park admission, they can't really do that so they'd probably have to put the booth somewhere else. Maybe instead of around Congo they'll have those booths set up along the pathway that leads to the separate entrance under Invertigo/Congo?
  12. Its official now! What a lineup! https://www.spiritsongfest.com/
  13. This thread needs to be put to rest. The park has said in numerous places that filming on rides is strictly prohibited including the use of video glasses that a certain facebook account that I will not name who keeps advertising for filming on the rides. If a ride operator sees anyone with a phone or camera out they will kindly ask that you put it away. A lot of operators use a 3 strike rule that if they have to ask more than 3 times, they'll stop the ride and kick the guest off. Or they'll stop the ride on the lift hill and an operator will have to lock out, take the long walk up the lift hill, confiscate the phone, and then call security and they'll be waiting for them when they get off the ride and out of the park they go.
  14. Man this thread feels like the endless arguments about drone/aerial pics in the giga speculation thread a few years ago
  15. Oh yes. IShowSpeed. He was doing a livestream and filmed on Racer and he got caught on livestream. Also, he was basically causing a ruckus as there were at least 20 of his fans basically swarming him around the park.
  16. You want to do that, just add jungle/forest theming to the Rivertown arcade and there you go.
  17. I actually haven't been to it since 2015 when I went with my former church youth group when I lived in Indiana. In fact, I only went for 2 out of the 3 days as I was in Cincy for a conference downtown that same week and after the conference ended we met up with the group at KI. However, I do like the concert atmosphere that SS brings to the park and I know some people who love going every year. It also brings in a ton of church groups every year so imo it adds to the atmosphere of the park.
  18. Funny they put Blue Fire in the background of their 2023 logo lol. You would've thought they would've put Orion in the background with it being the first SS event since Orion opened...
  19. **DOUBLE POST** We have another confirmed band and leaked date. This time Cain on June 15. https://www.caintheband.com/#tour
  20. Newsboys may have given away one of the dates from their Instagram:
  21. Well that was a very sneaky hidden announcement lol.
  22. There has been no such announcement yet. Can you reference a source for that information?
  23. It depends on how Pipeline at SWO runs. Is it comfortable for all riders? The trains are what are going to make or break it.
  24. No wonder they're doing the whole dockside theming for the Mercado. I've even said before that the Mercado is basically bringing back the whole dock like theme from Bubba Gump Shrimp.
  25. Not a ride, but I will say the fountain pedistals was probably the biggest mistake imo. While the new fountains are unique in their own way, the old fountains with the pedistals really made them look "royal" hence the name "royal fountain" while these fountains make it a show fountain like Bellagio or The Island.
