  1. I think that would be better in Rivertown imo. I think a Montgomery Inn would be better above the entrance
  2. Honestly I hope we get no more chain restaurants added to the park. I think it would be better to move away from the chain restaurants and just have chef major do his magic and have park original food. Obviously still have popular Cincy things like Larosas and Skyline to pay homage to the city, but I think things like subway, chick fil a, panda express, etc could be replaced.
  3. Antique Cars didn't have a teaser dropped until like the day before the announcement.
  4. KD has prime rib in their new restaurant and its on the dining plan and it looks amazing. That is now my top food wish list for KI
  5. Mike Koontz said at Coasterstock this year is sort of a test to see how successful they are and they are learning about the concert business. He said he plans on doing them next year if they are successful. From what I saw both 3 Doors Down and Skillet brought in pretty good crowds not surprising as those 2 bands had the biggest following. Also, minus the hiccups of the first concert, all the concerts people enjoyed them. I honestly think Timberwolf is here to stay as long as KI is willing to continue putting money into it and use feedback from the bands and fans to see how they can improve Timberwolf. KI still has a lot of land to expand without removing Timberwolf.
  6. He didn't officially confirm it. He said it is his goal. Whether or not it actually happens remains to be seen.
  7. Imagine something like this: Now just choose what dishes to serve lol Source for pic: https://www.frankenmuth.org/directory/bavarian-inn-restaurant/
  8. I want to see us get something like Frontier Festival or State Line Celebration in like April/May. Mike Koontz himself was actually asked about an event like that during Coasterstock and he liked the idea. Imagine something like that with all the area breweries and BBQ/wing joints.
  9. I was actually thinking that the other day. Have a section of the ride have the ushers dancing to happy feet like in the show.
  10. Here's an idea to make it International Street: relocate the park services warehouse and gut out the peanuts showplace. Then use that space as extra queue space and have the entrance across from chick fil a next to the family care center. You could even do a pre show in a section of it like Hagrids.
  11. I really like the VIP thing they did. Hopefully they were successful enough that they do these next year as well and maybe bring Spirit Song back. Honestly, I think Spirit Song would have a field day with the VIP thing. When I went to SS in the past, the big thing they did was you could enter to win front seats with coolers of ice cold drinks. With this, they could do meet and greets, giveaways, and a lot more. Hopefully, it comes back. If not, I liked having a Christian night. One thing I think they should do in the future is have 2 opening acts where one of them is an up and coming local artist to open for the 2 bigger acts and maybe have an MC in between acts that could do giveaways and stuff and maybe do a live backstage interview with the headlining band. Another idea I came up with in the other thread is they could do a Kids Night where they bring in some well known TV/Youtube/Tik Tok stars that are popular with kids/preteens to perform. Other than that, I love that KI didn't give up on Timberwolf and I hope it sticks around for years to come.
  12. Surprised there isn't a thread up about 3 Doors Down/Skillet. I didn't go to the concert yesterday (3DD) as I was working, but the last hour of the day (9-10) or so I was on the tower platform and I got a good look and it looked like it was a pretty good crowd at Timberwolf. Not too surprising as 3 Doors Down is likely the most well known band on the lineup along with Skillet. Idk how the concert went overall and how tonight is going so far. From all the things I saw and heard yesterday it looks like the issues that plagued the first concert have pretty much been resolved. For those who went or are there tonight, how is the concert going? Hopefully, we see these again next year and maybe the return of Spirit Song (as I like the whole 3 days of a full lineup of Christian bands). Maybe have a Kids Night with some well known artists who are big around young kids/preteens (ie JoJo Siwa and/or various Nickelodeon/YouTube/TikTok stars).
  13. I haven't visited the park as a guest in a while so idk how long it's been here, but there is this new photo thing in Area 72:
  14. While I agree with the funTV's, I don't think the park will get rid of them as they use them for in park advertising and stuff. However, I think there is a time and place for them. I'm personally NOT a fan of them in the queue house for Boo Blasters as they take away from the whole anticipation aspect which is what the queue of a dark ride is supposed to be. If they were to convert it into Phantom Theater, I hope they do not have FunTV's in the queue house and they go back to how it was with the Maestro playing the organ.
  15. I believe they used that for dance contests and stuff during Tricks and Treats Fall Fest in Planet Snoopy
  16. Read the first sentence of the article, they literally called it Timberwolf lodge lol
  17. So how was the sound compared to last time? Was it any better?
  18. Hersheypark recently did it with Chocolate Town. Idk how successful its been though for the park as it opened during the pandemic in 2020 along with Candymonium.
  19. Here's something....lol. Yes just imagine KI having a hard rock cafe lol
  20. I think a good way to improve the crowding would be to do something along the lines of a concept I shared here a week or so ago. Probably not the insane level, but maybe if they choose to sacrifice Invertigo and Congo, they could do a larger widened pathway and build a multi level, multi purpose food building as well as add some permanent restrooms and not porta potties. Also, am I the only one not a fan of the blacktop in the "concourse" area. The theater itself has pavers so why can't the pre-function have pavers or nicer concrete?
  21. Here's a pic of the current crowd right now less than 10 minutes before the concert. Let me say, more than I thought looking at the amount of tickets sold! They were playing announcements about buying tickets online in the park all day so maybe that helped a little.
  22. Another thing Mike said at Coasterstock is they are learning about the concert business. Perhaps, they will also ask the bands that play for feedback on what necessary improvements should be made to the theater to make it better and draw more crowds.
  23. Yeah looking at the amount of tickets available, if they stay that way, then the concert series may end up being a flop. Maybe since some people haven't really heard of some of these bands is why some people are staying away from buying the tickets. Maybe, they could still have tickets on sale while at the park and maybe it could draw some people to buy tickets during the concert?? To add on to that, if they do have a low turnout, maybe we'll see Timberwolf demolished after all. Unless they want to try and restart Spirit Song (which Premier Festivals, the promoter who organizes SS is still doing events like Rock the Smokies at Dollywood this year), then if these concerts are a flop, I don't see the reason to keep the theater around.
