Well, it seems SRR has a wild west theme considering one of the buildings is themed after a saloon. Maybe they could dress Charlie Brown as a wild west sheriff? It's also fitting since he does appear to capture the criminal bird at the end of the ride.

-
Possibly. I have heard from Amusement Insiders that apparently the theming for SRR was done in-house from a 3D printer that Canada's Wonderland owns. If this is true, it's going to be interesting to see how the theming would translate to other parks unless Kings Island owns a similar 3D printer or if they're going to ship the theming from CW. As a reminder, however, nothing is confirmed at the moment and we're going to have to wait until KI announces their 2024 plans to see what's really going on there.

I found what appears to be a survey marker to the left of the peanuts stage in one of the pens. Apparently there are other markers in the area but this is the only one I was able to locate. This photo was taken in the seating area next to the snack shack.

Looks like the theater at Planet Snoopy isn't being used at all. They have plants covering the entrance, which I'm not sure if that's an indication that they are about to remove it.

That's the main reason why I avoid driving on a "certain bridge" that connects Kentucky and Ohio. A certain bridge that rhymes with the phrase "rent expense"... -
Holiday World 2024 Project/Teaser
WoodVengeance replied to silver2005's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Right, that was leaked several weeks ago. I also remember that the project name was titled "Gravy Boat", which seems to indicate the name of the coaster and/or the theme revolving around gravy. It appears this gravy theme is being heavily reinforced with Holiday World's recent Facebook post. -
I made this concept of a potential Camp Snoopy re-theme and expansion. In this concept, the theater and barnyard area have been demolished in favor of a new indoor dining facility named "Peanuts' Saloon" with a stage show similar to Festhaus so they can still have shows in the Camp Snoopy area. A bit to the north of Peanuts' Saloon is Snoopy's Racing Railway, a near clone of the one at Canada's Wonderland. In addition, Woodstock Express and Flying Ace Aerial Chase were repainted to have more natural color schemes to fit the Camp Snoopy area, with Woodstock being painted yellow as a homage to the coaster's original color scheme when it was themed to Scooby Doo and Beastie. (The FAAC repaint might not be as likely since that was just repainted for 2022). Again, this is just a concept I made, so it may not be accurate to what the next Planet Snoopy expansion will be like.

If the rumor for Snoopy's Racing Railway at Canada's Wonderland is true, I could see it going to Kings Island and Carowinds since all three of those parks get similar additions. Carowinds has the former Dinosaurs Alive plot that I believe is located near that park's Camp Snoopy, so I could easily see that area being used for a Camp Snoopy expansion including SRR. For Kings Island, the old theater and barnyard could be demolished and be used for a Planet Snoopy expansion or Camp Snoopy retheme, including SRR.

This is just a rumor and isn't confirmed at all, but I heard from Amusement Insiders on YouTube that Snoopy's Racing Railway at Canada's Wonderland was designed to be cloned at other Cedar Fair parks.
-
Actually scratch that. I forgot Lazy Bear Lodge was added to CW not too long ago either.
-
Intersting. Seems odd that the only new indoor dining facility added recently in the chain was at a park with no Winterfest at all.

Reminds me of a fusion between WindSeeker and Spinvasion at Kennywood. -
Top Thrill Dragster Incident

They can be. There are two across and four across variants of the lightning train. I assume Zamperla is using the two across trains for Dragster since that's what they're using for the refurbished Intamin launch coaster at PNE Playland. -

Have you had the cinnamon bread by Lightning Run? It's really good. -

Yep, it's Orion all over again but for Cedar Point. -
Potential 4th/5th coaster for Planet Snoopy?
WoodVengeance replied to SonofBaconator's topic in Coming Attractions
I think if Kings Island wanted to get an indoor wild mouse, the TR/Crypt building would probably be a better building for that. -

You can see racing flags among the new parts. This likely indicates that the ride is going to keep its racing theme. -
It's nice that the atmosphere of the park is maintained well at least. I am curious as to how Shivering Timbers would rank for me compared to others woodies I have ridden like Mystic Timbers and Voyage. The park is a bit too out of the way for me personally to want to plan a trip there, but I can try to find time to go at some point.

Smitty Werben Man Jensen?
-
Did you see anybody from maintenance in the station area by any chance? Or were they just driving around the area?
-
Has anyone been able to go on the Eiffel Tower recently? I went to the park tuesday and friday of this week and it was down for both days. Weather was good on friday and WindSeeker was running.
-
Lights in the station are still on as of five minutes ago. I saw security near the exit of The Bat, so that's good. Hopefully that'll help prevent trespassing.
-
Right. The station is clearly visible from The Bat's exit path. There's no need to trespass to make clickbait videos with names like "OMG Son of Beast IS RETURNING???? 300+ FT TALL???"
