Kings Island Resort After it Closed
The Interpreter replied to Gordon Bombay's topic in Kings Island
Terpy made observations. He specifically did NOT offer legal advice. Thanks are inappropriate. If for some reason, you perceived the shoe fit... -
...not to mention the park was closed for the season on November 25....

2015 KIC Off Season Poll Series Week XII: Best Food at Kings Island
The Interpreter replied to BB1's topic in KI Polls
I miss the ribs and chicken cooking over barbecue grates in Rivertown, the Montgomery Inn ribs with tossed salad and house made blue cheese dressing in the International Street Restaurant (and the service and the views), the European Bakery and its fresh baked goodies, and LaRosa's Pizza years ago--back when it was actually good and a single slice was bigger than two are now. -
Which coaster do you want to come next.

Obviously you have not ridden The Roller Coaster At New York New York Casino formerly known as Manhattan Express. No love for that infernal contraption. At least not from me. It's despicable. On a good day. -

Prosecutors have frequently used admissions of guilt (including pictures taken by the accused) to bring indictments and prove cases. Many of those matters have been posted in the "I Can't Make This Crap Up" thread. ---- Not smart. Not smart at all. I can't even advise editing certain posts here. You see, that could be construed as aiding and abetting, obstruction of justice, and/or conspiracy. ...I bet Hartland needs people with your skills...and Commonwealth of Kentucky licensure.

When I was far younger than now, I was a cashier/grill cook at a fast food restaurant, working 60 hour weeks while in high school. I'd often wake up having tried to cook three dozen cheeseburgers or to wait on a particularly obnoxious, demanding customer--in my sleep! Though I've had literally dozens of positions since, I haven't dreamed about any of them. Odd that.

Kentucky Kingdom

It was Mr. Hart's intention the first time. He did it once, he can do it again. -
As with many things, each time you mobilize and demobilize a contractor, you bear extra expense and lose economies of scale.

Tis far better to respect and like others than to be an immodest sort. A second grade teacher made that lesson both painful and obvious. It hasn't been forgotten. Getting to yes and playing well with others is far easier when you truly like the others!

...hopefully, the new trams.

So....quiet. So....wise. So....unlike Kentucky Kingdom. Can it last? Will it? -

Local lawyers indicate mediation on the main bankruptcy case is slated for next Tuesday. Separately, February 29 a hearing is set as to the proposed competing reorganization plans (taxing authorities vs. the Park Trustees). Lastly, no mediation has yet been set as to the issue of the Beach Club insurance proceeds appeal (Fifth Amendment taking alleged, etc.). -

No more Chick-Fil-A at Cedar Point!

Please note the Cedar Point franchisee left. No one has said anything about Chick-FIL-A's fate at Kings Island. Yet. -

No more Chick-Fil-A at Cedar Point!
The Interpreter replied to IndyGuy4KI's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
According to the post in the other thread, it was the franchisee, not Cedar Fair, that decided to walk. The franchisor would be Chick-FIL-A. -
No more Chick-Fil-A at Cedar Point!
The Interpreter replied to IndyGuy4KI's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
The Cedar Point Chick-FIL-A was a franchise. Like Panda Express at Kings Island, the employees worked for the franchisee, not the park. -
Normally, asphalt plants close for the winter and do not re-open until spring.

Six Flags went through this with Johnny Rockets. When Dan Snyder had an interest in both companies, Johnny Rockets opened in virtually every Six Flags. When Dan was ousted, many of them closed. Great Adventure once had THREE! -
