I believe those markers were from the color run or something like that.

I had problems with things being extremely slow the other day (to the point where I was getting "504 Gateway Timeout" errors), but only that day.

Does Kings Island's All Season Dining Plan Affect Other Businesses?
Oldiesmann replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island
I'm pretty sure I've got a positive ROI on mine as well. I've used it at least 8-10 times at KI plus three times at CP. -
Speaking of upside-down guys on Rotors, this popped up in the Old Photos of Cincinnati group on Facebook recently... This is reportedly from Coney Island in 1950. Courtesy of Facebook user Rose Taylor. Original post: http://on.fb.me/1JWperm

Must be a pretty big issue if they're taking the entire train off the ride.

It would be interesting to see a Trabant ride return to the area, especially since one just left the area (Coney Island) a few years ago. A Mack Super Himalaya would be awesome as well, though a flat ride with a 52" minimum height might not be appealing to a lot of people.

I'm sorry the guy was disappointed, and it's possible it could have been handled better by the park, but I think his complaints are a bit much. Accusing KI of passing the buck by saying the manufacturer doesn't allow it? Also, it seems the biggest issue here is the difference in chain policies. The Disability & Accessibility Guide for Six Flags Great America (which would be his home park since he's from Chicago) says that guests must remove non-permanent braces, orthotics, etc. prior to riding some rides - including the Giant Drop (an Intamin Giant Drop - similar in some ways to Drop Tower but not the same ride), while CF is following manufacturer recommendations. It's possible that Illinois isn't as strict about such things as Ohio is, but it still doesn't make sense as to why a guest should be allowed to remove something like that if they can't wear it while riding. As others have said, what happens if the guest removes the brace and comes back more injured than before? It is possible that this situation could have been handled better, but you can't just assume each chain/park will have the same policies and then get mad when the policy adversely affects you.

I'd love to see a water coaster. I haven't figured out why KI doesn't have one yet when the two at Holiday World are still getting critical acclaim years after installation. Plus, something like that with high capacity will help spread out the crowds and (hopefully) make lines shorter at the other slides.

Mean But Funny (I hope this isn't any of you!)

The seatbelts on that are the same as the ones on Beast and Racer. Plenty long. Legroom is a bit of an issue, but I always turn my legs sideways. How two adults fit into one seat is another question entirely though -
I seriously hope people don't start trying to make the gliders bump into one another. If that sort of snapping becomes a trend, expect the park to quickly decide that snapping is no longer permitted.

I'm wondering how they got that screen. I downloaded and installed the VR app and all I got was a countdown timer. -
Whither Conneaut Lake Park Now?

I can definitely see why he'd be skeptical. Sketchy property value estimate, taking into account money that you may not even get, telling debtors that even after 20 years they might just "make a modest recovery" instead of seeing the full amount they're owed... What a mess. -

According to PointBuzz, members of the media are now receiving Google Cardboard viewers in the mail. https://www.facebook.com/pointbuzz/photos/a.10152117557661796.1073741828.34043011795/10153529356531796/?type=1&theater -
Dollywood 2016 Announcement

At this point I will be somewhat surprised if Storm Chaser ever opens... -
Speaking of guest stupidity at Diamondback, when I was in line on Wednesday, a ride op actually had to tell someone to put their shoes back on as a train was leaving the station. I'm not sure how the guest expected to hold on to their shoes while on Diamondback though.

Looks like I may have to find a way to fit both Dollywood and Cedar Point into my plans next season... This looks amazing. -

For those wondering what "Cardboard compatible" means, it's likely a reference to Google Cardboard. However, this makes no sense, given that holding up a phone to view something while riding a coaster is extremely dangerous and against park rules.
