  1. I think that could be said about a lot of the smaller parks in the Cincinnati tristate area. It seems like Coney was the only real survivor.
  2. I say give Slingshot the axe and out a Ferris Wheel in Oktoberfest.
  3. Bump. Now that I live right up the street I was able to take a stroll through what’s left of the park. For anyone that’s interested:
  4. Nick Universe construction photos were how I stumbled upon this site. Maybe around 2006? Good times. Doesn’t seem like it was all that long ago. Thanks for the topic bump.
  5. All right, I’m probably beating a dead horse but I’ve read some conflicting info. To be clear, if I buy a gold pass for 2019 this weekend, I can visit the park for the rest of 2018 (including Haunt and Winterfest)?
  6. Yeah, you’re right. We’ll never get another coaster again. It was fun while it lasted, though.
  7. This makes me remarkably happy. Especially hearing about the covered bridge. It sounds like they’re doing it right. Great location too!
  8. Was there any concept art or photos revealed? I’m trying to get an idea where it’s going to be located by The Racer.
  9. The Flight Commander pad would be a great spot for “our” Eagles to return to.
  10. Based on the teasers... 1. Racer refurb 2. Antique Cars 3. New “Zodiac” I think we’ll see general Coney Mall improvements as well.
  11. Those teasers are enticing. Makes me want to think big, like an entire Coney Mall makeover like @Shaggy mentioned. Man, that would be something!
  12. I think we’ll see a Racer makeover, hopefully with the original paint scheme. I’d love to see a flat or two as well. If “our” Eagles and the Antique Cars made a return, I’d be floored.
  13. Rumors are still going to come from somewhere. You can’t just make something up and call it a rumor.
  14. I throw my vote in for Urgent Scare as well. Man, the first year or two it was great. Both the outdoor and indoor sections. It’s realky taken a nose dive in comparison to what it once was.
  15. This 100%. This is the first year I haven’t been a season pass holder in about four years (Previously had a Gold Pass for a good 7-8 years with a break there for a bit). I just bought a house and couldn’t justify spending extra cash for a pass after a fiasco I had last season with a bloody chicken nugget. Hands down the worst customer service I’ve experienced in and outside of the industry. I think there’s an odd demographic gap too. This has been repeated multiple times, but there aren’t any “in between” attractions. You’ve got coasters and kiddie rides for the most part. There’s mediocre shows and embarrassing dining options. There’s an entire group of potential guests being ignored. Maybe that would help the numbers. Maybe not. I’m no expert.
  16. Little bummed about Carnevil. That’s always been a favorite since my first Fearfest visit (‘05 or ‘07). Good ol’ Circus Horrors 3D in the Festhaus...I’m suddenly feeling a bit old. The Festhaus was a pretty terrible location for a haunt, though.
  17. I had no idea. Love this. Thanks for sharing!
  18. When was the last time the Boston Marathon was bombed before the Boston Marathon was bombed? I don’t think it was much of an overreaction, to be honest. It’s always nice to be aware of things that might kill you. The only thing that should be killing us at the park is the food quality/pricing. Ammiright?
  19. Traditionally around Labor Day weekend, my friend.
