  1. I'd like to echo these concerns. I hope that in addition to the (potential) smokehouse they also revamp food service as a whole.
  2. A Target by where I work already has lights out. It doesn't bother me too much: I think there's a practicality in purchasing a lot of Christmas stuff before Christmas.
  3. It'd be a logistical nightmare as far capacity is concerned, but I'd have to go with a Ferris Wheel as well. Oh, and dark rides! I'll also echo the cries for the return of an Antique Cars type ride.
  4. After a handful of awful food related experiences this year, the only time I eat in the park is when there are food trucks. I love this idea.
  5. My favorite part about (most) visits to the park is leaving my phone in the car.
  6. If it were to happen, I'd love to see them retain much of the Tower Gardens area as it is now. It would be quite the experience to cruise by the Carousel, under the tower, etc. It deserves to be more than a glorified smoking area (not an attack on smokers, just the use of the area). Here's to hoping that this could become something special and not a mediocre, overpriced cafeteria!
  7. His comments are also very interesting in regards to those who have convinced themselves of the "inevitable" Giga being built in the DA area. Even when pressed for details about what the space could be used for he emphasizes the trail itself, the natural setting, etc. It sounds like that could potentially reused in the future in some capacity. A lot of exciting things ahead, I'm sure!
  8. Man, oh man. How I miss Swan Lake/old Rivertown.
  9. Got a chance to check it out last time I was up there. Super cool.
  10. l stumbled across this recently on eBay and wanted them as display pieces. The pin I'm told is from the 1940's and the cup and saucer set is from the 1960's. Figure some of you might like to take a look!
  11. I always figured the bulk of the layout was back towards the parking lot. I had no idea. Regardless, I love Stricker's Grove train and would really like to see something like that at the park.
  12. I think something along the lines of the CI&LC Railroad would be a welcomed and successful addition to Coney's lineup. Obviously with the parking lot it would be built elsewhere. But really. That would be rad.
  13. A holiday overlay is something they could do in house that wouldn't require any changes to the ride itself. I can't imagine it would be difficult to decorate the existing scenes and call it a day. Although, I really like the looks of that specific Sally attraction.
  14. For Winterfest '05 there were rumblings about Scooby Doo and the Haunted Castle receiving a "Christmas Caper" makeover, but that never came to be. So if I were a betting man I'd say that Boo Blasters won't as well, although I'd love to see it happen. I can't imagine it would be too terribly difficult.
  15. These Halloween events always bring out the best in everyone!
  16. Specifically attractions that the whole family could ride together. There really isn't a whole lot that Grandma and Grandpa could ride with a their grandkids. That's obviously just an example, but there is a gap between coasters/thrill rides and kid rides.
  17. Am I the only one who is not sold on the "inevitable" Giga coaster? I guess I'm the minority, but I think there are major demographic gaps in Kings Island's lineup that could/should be addressed before another coaster.
  18. The new Coney Mall troll is everything. Love that guy.
  19. Winterfest Mystic Timbers Shed = Last Christmas by Wham. Make it happen, Kings Island.
  20. Thank you or god one. Haven't seen a lot of this footage. Last time I was at Disneyland I remember seeing some of what remains!
  21. I'd like to see what these guys can do for Haunt/Winterfest in the shed. I know some people are on the fence (myself included) about screen focused dark ride effects, but it lends to a certain versatility. Could be pretty rad.
  22. I've driven/walked over then at least 3 or 4 times this summer and had no idea.
