100%, my dude. They look significantly better than the original figures. Not that they were bad or anything, but 34 years allows technology to develop in such a way that, on a surface level, makes them superior. The movement and articulation of the new Maestro when specifically compared to the original makes it obvious. To go further, yeah… I adore the art direction of the original ride. Everything about it. But I’m not going to sit here and say this new direction looks worse. I know that’s mostly objective, but come on: Ultimately, comparison is a thief of joy. I’m just hyped for what’s in store. Sally knows what they’re doing. Based on what little we’ve seen in the Curtain Call BTS series and via the filed plans, it seems like it’s going to be done right. Only time will tell…

As opposed to making SC a separate admission, I feel like it might make more sense to just increase the prices of season passes. Which, unpopular opinion, I wouldn’t be opposed too if it meant improved experiences.

KY Flyer was our favorite when we went this summer. Hopefully it sticks around. But yeah, bizarre placement. Totally hyped to see this park getting a lot of love. Flying Fox looks solid and the idea of a new dark ride/indoor coaster only makes me want to return sooner. So much potential. Looking forward to going back this summer.

With the holiday madness behind us, I finally had the chance to pour over the plans. Put some thoughts/predictions/observations together. Spoilers Ahead! Hoping to have some more time to get into the effects listed in the plans, because I feel like this could give us a better idea of what these scenes could include. Same with the super blurry concept art storyboard that's been posted here a few times. Anyway. Time for me to go touch grass.

Really, multiple holiday overlays could be beneficial to KI as a passholder park the same way Haunted Mansion Holiday draws big local crowds to Disneyland. Especially with the state of the chain and the canceling of seasonal events. Would be a great way to drive attendance with something “new.” Whether or not that attendance would affect revenue is another story. Would be cool to see!

What would a holiday overlay even include? New customers and props? And updated soundtrack? Seems doable to me… also, Merry Christmas KIC!

Or just an expanded IS to include a few new attractions. I can think of a certain set of flyers in the Carolina’s that would fit well in that area…

I feel like both of the figures shown at IAPPA would stretch that $900k number. Surely, that’s just for one aspect of the project.

I feel like something similar to NightFlight Expedition could work for the TR/Crypt building. It could be indoor/outdoor and expand towards the train and Diamondback behind the building. Wouldn’t be to the same scale as Dollywood I’m sure, but in concept I feel like it could work. Another theater show could be cool in the AT. I’m just down for as many dark rides they want to invest in.
