  1. Forget that Infosino character... go to that Pulse Journal web site click on entertainment then go to Kings Island... they have one awesome Kings Island section. I'd say it's as good, if not better, than KIC!!
  2. Did you have to rent a trailer for all of the stuff you walked out of the park with?? Good TR.
  3. Can you supply a link for that? I threw them that quote on CB and they want a link for some reason... I can't find it.
  4. Does anyone know what the crowds will be like on Sunday? Will the other Sundays in October be more crowded for the Halloween events? It'll likely be busy this Sunday since they have those discounted tickets.
  5. Who is the girl on the far left in the second pic? With the charcoal coat on. That was Jennifer Castellina (sp?) she was the seasonal marketing coordinator kind of like Josh Hackenberg is now. From what I understand, she now works for P&G.
  6. Click here to see 2005-2006 offseason photos.

    Hot Fall

Likely Boomerang Bay is already in rehab, and the Spongebob area will be converted into a foam area for Nick or Treat. I guess the answer is probably no on both accounts.
  8. It could be that since the Fed was meeting, he bought stock assuming that they'd cut interest rates. That is perfectly legal.
  9. The park is a very buys place during the offseason. Of course you see construction, but ride rehab is going on, things will be painted, little things are fixed up around the park, etc. Go through our photo gallery. There are tons of photos of the park during the offseason.
  10. Yeah... Maverick... I may finally get to ride that soon! Stupid heartline roll!!
  11. Typically we don't worry about deleting or merging posts unless they're within a reasonable amount of time of each other. Eagles and Phantom Theatre for me!
  12. I'm going this Sunday. I've heard Sundays in Sept are dead. Can anyone verify this?
  13. Who knows? What will they do to pay the debt down? Certainly it'll go up if things go as planned, but what if they have to divest parks to do it? That would be shrinking the company and could result in a stagnant or lower stock price.
  14. Any time a company or an exec from a company purchases large amounts of shares it's typically a supply and demand thing to make the stock go up.
  15. Obviously we cannot argue with that. If it came from Six Flags it has to be true, after all, that's where all the Dip N' Dots guys report to for their info. Of course they are, because obviously there is so much extra room to build back there. Plenty of room for 3 new flat rides, a bathroom and some shops. No need to worry about the fact that wood coaster maintainence headquarters is right on the other side of the fence, or that gaming storage, no I'm sure they'll just build right down the road, just build out in one direction like Six Flags America going to Batwing. Then eventually they'll connect the pathway around Son of Beast so that people can walk around and come up the maintainence stairs into SOB's station. Its all so practical. If they wanted to expand the X-Base, I'm sure they could find a way to do it. I'd say the biggest problem would be the bottleneck entrance under The Racer. Even back when it was just FoF back there, it got pretty crowded at times.
  16. FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE September 17, 2007 New Halloween Haunt at Kings Island The Area’s Most Intense Must See Event! No one and nothing is off limits! Kings Island, Ohio – It’s bigger, better, badder than anything you’ve ever seen before and open until 1 a.m…it’s the new Halloween Haunt at Kings Island beginning Friday night September 28. Halloween Haunt features twice the number of monsters, a longer haunt time, new highly-intense and terrifying attractions including chain link mazes, frightening wooded trails, dangerous clowns in 3D, and some of the most hair-raising rides on the planet. Kings Island’s new Halloween event was originally created and perfected by the “Scare-Masters†of Knotts Berry Farm’s famous, world-class Halloween events many consider the premier fright nights in the theme park industry. Countless numbers of terrifying creatures – nearly 400 vampires, werewolves, mummies, zombies, undertakers, clowns and assorted ghouls and monsters will be lurking in Kings Island’s shadows and pathways looking for victims during the fall event. Other new attractions include DEATH ROW, a sanitarium of torture and slaughter, and TOMBSTONE TERROR-TORY, a bone-chilling wild-west train ride through the woods that goes terribly wrong. There’s also MASACRE MANOR, a haunted mansion; TRAIL OF TERROR, a darkened woods-walk with the undead lurking in every shadow, and CARNEVIL, a dangerous 3D freight-fest under the big top. Additional attractions include CORNSTALKERS, a terrorizing walk through an overgrown cornfield where evil scarecrows will kill to protect their turf; THE WORKSITE, a long-abandoned construction zone with horror around each corner, and THE CEMETERY with crypts, out-of-control zombies and fog so thick you can’t see your hand (or anybody’s else’s) in front of your face. 17. Geauga Lake? I was going to say MIA... but hey.. we're different. ha ha Cedar Point is clearly the foundation onto which Cedar Fair is built, however I don't think that they'll be quick to look past Kings Island. Kings Island has the tools to make them a lot of money and I'm sure they know that.

  19. Well, if I buy my Platinum Pass from Cedar Point and I get it processed at another park....I'll have Point Perks associated with my Pass...TRUST ME!! Otherwise, Cedar Fair...I love you, I love you, I LOVE YOU!!! It was scary reading this on the CF's website: For instance, even if you purchase your 2008 Platinum Pass at Cedar Point this fall, if you’re visiting Knott’s in January, you may redeem your certificate at Knott’s in January Since that will be my exact situation now! (I'm making my girlfriend buy my Platinum Pass for my birthday in early November). So again Cedar Fair...thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!! And PLEASE don't change this policy cuz my girlfriend and I are booking our LA plane tickets for New Year's THIS weekend! (also they better have Season Pass cards stocked as I could picture a problem with that!) But I'll be sure to show ya'll our hottness processed 08 Platinum Pass in January! Ok, listen up. I have some information. They have made the policy in which you CAN get your Platinum Pass processed at ANY Cedar Fair park, HOWEVER you have to bear in mind that the technology is different with some parks so if you have your pass made at another park, you may or may not be able to scan in at Kings Island. You may have to go to GR every time and get a stamp. Therefore it is recommended that you get your pass processed at your home park. Also, note that you will only have Platinum Benefits at that park in which you PROCESSED your pass. CORRECTION!!! I retract that statement. Your benefits will be at the park in which you PURCHASED your pass, not processed. I apologize for the inconvenience.

  21. That's where you're wrong, sir. If Crayola were responsible for coloring the coasters Firehawk would be red brick crayon and several of CP's coasters would be fire engine red.
