So my daughter's 8th grade class is deciding on their end of year class trip. Some said CP. Some said Kennywood. Others said Darien Lake. And then some mentioned Cincy Zoo because of Harambe being a national hero...... smh

This is the evils of social media. Everyone has their own way of dealing with issues: anger, frustration, hold it in, humor etc. But can any one of truly know of how the other emotionally feels through what is written? I have been called out on numerous occasions for being mean but I was "attempting" to be sarcastic/ humorous and honestly trying to make light of a difficult subject. Yes, it is easy to see someone trolling for emotional responses, but for others, it may be their way of handling things. Social media brings out the best in some, and the worst in most. Some are gonna be idiots, but our options are: hunt them down & stone them, or get rid of social media. .... and I doubt social media is going anywhere.

Only enthusiasts would claim any of this marketing is fraud. 2017 means 2017. It's simple. Come November 2017 (thanksgiving time) Winterfest will be in full swing. Does anyone really think that Winterfest 2017 starting winter 2017 actually means January 2017?? And why would Winterfest run past December 31st? Next people will be complaining that Winterfest is a Christmas event and it should not start till after Thanksgiving.

I'm still baffled why CP hotels would rely solely on Sandusky treated water for firefigting use when you have Lake Erie right there. Fire departments often use ponds/ lakes etc. when lacking a water source.

I can remember Mean Streak's first year. The long line, no breeze, no shade, and the absolutely horrific brake screeching coming from all over the coaster. Much like SoB, it looked REALLY REALLY good, but the experience did not measure up. CP has tried countless fixes and some worked for awhile, but time did the fixes in and it was still a bit rough for many. I could not find any pics of the work done at the bottom of the lift hill, but wow, if anyone has the opportunity to take a look, you will be surprised on how much the track has been modified to keep MS from tearing itself apart. With the exception of SoB, I hate to see any ride removed. Hopefully, CP has great plans for that area.

I can see both sides. Expressing disappointment because the ride that was anticipated is not going to happen (i.e. giga), should be expected by everyone, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. This is a forum. It would be terribly boring if everyone thought the same way. But why make your opinion known on the forum in a separate thread (using CAPS in the title so it can stand out), and then have no interaction when other members disagree? It does come off as: "I'm going to stir up the pot with my own view, and watch it boil over." Now add in the line about CP having a serious bug infestation...... LOL! It's a park surrounded by water. What do you expect? Lake Erie is known for their mayflies. So much, there is a website dedicated to them: http://www.mayflynews.net/ There is little that anyone can do to influence Mother Nature to keep bugs away from CP, just like there is little CP can do to keep seagulls away (another gripe by many that is also laughable).
