  1. ^ Totally possible. Maybe CF being tightlipped is out of respect for the victim & ongoing recovery? Or a settlement has not been reached due to not exactly knowing what % of a normal life she will have?
  2. Moving Matterhorn & Scrambler is going to turn the volume up on the demise of Corkscrew- which I don't want to see happen. Ride is meh, but walking under the corkscrew is still really fun. And zero mention of TTD- (edit) other than WM being the 18th coaster.
  3. It sure is! I'd like to know if each set of lift hill wheels (??) are individual of each other or somehow work in tandem with each other. That's a lot of moving parts. Apparently on the original, each train had it's own propulsion. In the POV it looked as if the wheels were in motion.
  4. Interesting tidbit: TTD's tower lights have been on at night for over a week & now the drop side can be seen in the webcam (along with SV drop & part of Gemini). I do not recall seeing this view before. I honestly believed TTD had given it's last rides, but now with the ride being "highlighted" (for lack of a better word) it appears that may not be the case. Or it's just a complete coincidence....
  5. You bring up an interesting point- quality vs. quantity. Which additions had the greater impact? DB, FH, Banshee, MT & Orion. Or 1993 Bat, FoF, SGC, Invertigo, SoB, Flying Ace Ariel Chase & BSC. I suppose beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
  6. Sorry, I'm a bit confused by your posts. Did you not enjoy the new Phantom Theatre show? If you did, then that would be a new addition to 2022.
  7. This story should be on blast everywhere. Not only for letting potential criminals know you will be caught but steps that are needed to be taken so you are not a victim yourself.
  8. In addition to what year(s) a new attraction was not added to the KI lineup, consider the capital expenditures for each addition. It's not cheap to add rides like DB, Banshee, MT, Orion, major Beast retrack/ redesign and the overall park beautification for 2022.
  9. One interesting observation someone made was that the markers extend East and to the midway, but do not extend West to Camp Snoopy. Perhaps a midway facelift instead of TTD removal? We should know more on Thursday- if TTD is "quietly" discussed I would say that is a good thing for the ride staying. If it's ignored, not so good.
  10. The pink marking usually means temporary marking, but yeah, everything is speculation at this point. CP Rundown has 60+ pics of the different colored markings around TTD everywhere from CS to the Breakers parking lot to BackLotBBQ. I give them credit, whoever took the pics was on the lookout everywhere.
  11. It is curious that there is marking in the actual load station. Even if the LSM rumors are true, why would any digging be necessary there?
  12. Knowing CF has distanced themselves from Intamin coasters for 10+ years who made modifications? Intamin? Someone else? Were there even modifications to the launch/ brake run made? Thinking back to SoB getting modified- If it was someone else other than Intamin what assurances are there that the modifications are safe? Definitely more questions than answers. I still believe TTD will be removed, but if CF can find a way to safely & consistently operate TTD, than we all benefit.
  13. According to CP Rundown on FB, there has been reports of recent activity around TTD: - there is a JLG near the brake run - some landscape bushes have been removed near TTD that can be seen from ID - some blue spray paint markings have been seen in the midway North of TTD station & near TTD photo booth. (blue paint typically means water lines) - the tower lights were on for the first time last night These observations could mean a variety of things from moving the queue line to removing the ride.
  14. Should have escorted them out of line. Last offense is escort them out of the park.
  15. Its nauseating that every time opinions differ, one side has to pull the discrimination card. It waters down true discrimination.
  16. Looking at previous park map attraction list, Phantom Theater was part of Hanna Barbara Land under both KECO & Paramount. The current park map lists Boo Blasters as part of Planet Snoopy. https://qr1.be/Q021
  17. I get that parks want/ need to do something after incidents like this and want as little media attention as possible, but after seeing the Disney melee last week- the issue is not just a teen thing. I think parks should put these people on blast. Let it be known for everyone to see what happened & that the result will be lifetime expulsion and the world will see why. It's far from a perfect solution & I'm not sure if there is one.
  18. Articles like that give such a personal touch it's hard not to appreciate Don & his team.
  19. Thinking even further.... Leaving the line and trying to reclaim your position in line is line jumping, but, this line wasn't for a ride, it was for a performance that everyone will be enjoying at the same time. Allowing her to pass would not result in the opposing family waiting any longer. Sometimes being so rigid in thinking clouds good judgement.
  20. A few observations: - There are no innocent victims here. Both sides are in the wrong. - guest left the line to get her phone & assumed to resume her place in line. This is line jumping. - some understanding is needed by the family that would not let her pass & supposedly pushed her back. It's only one guest & she was already in-line. Is it really that big of a deal? - All this over a forgotten phone? You can't (or shouldn't) use it during the performance anyway. A little communication when you were leaving the line could have solved all the problems. - guy in green t-shirt deserves to be in jail. Sucker punching a woman? Special place in hell for you pal. - the family of the line jumper waited till the end of the performance to confront the other family. I bet they really enjoyed Mickey's PhilharMagic with this on their mind. As they say at Disney: LET IT GO.
  21. I absolutely love dark rides, I just do not know if a seasonal park can justify the cost for a brand new one in today's World. I keep going back to Curse of DarKastle at BGW. It was a fantastic ride, but fell out of popularity due to technology passing it by rather quickly. For comparison, Spider-Man debut at Universal in '99 for a reported $100,000,000 and was overhauled in 2011 with new mechanics & digital projectors. I could not find a cost associated DarKastle but I imagine it was not close to that of Spider-Man (which is probably why BGT never installed a dark ride, the comparisons to rides in Orlando would be brutal). The other downfall I saw was and the story was not part of pop culture like Spider-Man. That popularity can make up for technology passing it up. Perhaps the cost of these rides will decrease as technology flattens out, one can only dream!
  22. As mentioned earlier, RMC responded with an interesting Tweet:
  23. Similar incident at Waldameer in Erie, PA Last week. It nauseates me that a select few makes everything about themselves and ruins it for everyone else.
