  1. Just bumping this 1 more time...by this time next week the marathoning will all be done. If you haven't already signed up there are still 29 slots available! I know times are tough right now...but the $100.00 that each participant must raise/donate is a bargain for the great time that this event is. Some of the reasons you don't want to miss this chance: You will be supporting a great cause it is a win-win situation! (Plus it is tax-deductible.) You get the chance to meet fellow KIC members...which does make this board more interesting to read when you can put a face/personality to a name. The Racer employees are a lot of fun cheering everyone on and trying to keep everyone entertained. Free water. A nice free t-shirt. A free lunch in The (former) International Restaurant...always a good time. The park goes above and beyond making everyone feel special for participating in this event. A behind the scenes Beast tour after the marathoning. Admission to the park. Sing-a-longs on The Racer as you re-enter the station...and maybe even the hokey pokey. And of course, rides on The Racer over and over and over and over...without ever having to get out of the train. (Unless you want to.) I can't wait to see everyone again this year! www.firstgiving.com/gktw/KingsIsland

    Scooby's Ghoster Coaster.
  4. Then technically they wouldn't be giving you it...just giving you a hard time!
  5. ^Oh I know that...but there weren't any special lanes for Fast Pass either until recently. If there's a buck (or more) to be made...
  6. As Sean Connery found out, never say never...if the park thought there might be some money to be made it might happen. (All they would have to do is issue both cards with the same number and then limit that number to be scanned only once a day.)
  7. This is a very un-Shaggy like post...not only am I not used to you "complaining", I REALLY am shocked that you started your own topic to do it! As for my thoughts...I am fine with the entrance as it is, I do like having something somewhat original left. (I still like the feel of walking out from the shade and into the bright morning sun when I arrive.) I do think it is way overdue to get a public elevator for the (former) International Restaurant though.
  8. Thanks for the photos! I think the slides painted looks very nice/happy.
  9. Thanks for the report...glad you had a good time.
  10. As probably the head Fast Lane "whiner/complainer" this does not bother me because it is NOT the same thing...this is the equivalent that the better seats at a concert or ballgame cost more...it still comes down to the VERY simple fact that people are paying to step ahead of me in line.
  11. Balloondoggle, Thank you for stopping in here to confirm that Give Kids The World is a worthwhile charity. I am so sorry for your loss. Best wishes, J.D.
  12. Thanks for the report...i'm glad you had a good time.
  13. Thanks for the report...and the pictures!
  14. Great line! There's nothing like your first time...it sounds like he (and you) will always have a nice memory to look back on.
  15. No, no you are not. Thanks for the report!
  16. It really is us that should be thanking you...the park certainly goes out of their way to make this a great event.
  17. Sadly, on this board I think a lot of people agree with this statement.
  18. I appreciate any and all effort that the park does to keep everyone in the loop.
  19. What...no lap bars on the pews?! Congratulations and many happy years together!
  20. ^From what I have been told, very well.
  21. I am also curious what a loyalty plan might end up being...and it's perks. (It would be too much to hope for that one of the planned "perks" would be that management would stop mocking/ridiculing some of their most loyal customers.)
  22. I just wanted to bump this up...there are still plenty of slots open. This REALLY is a great cause and a LOT of fun! http://www.firstgiving.com/gktw/KingsIsland
  23. I am glad you had a good time...thanks for the report.
  24. jandyb, that looks very nice!
  25. ^Oh I know that...and appreciate that...but I am a realist, there is a "ceiling*". *Unlike the limit of FL passes the park will sell in a day!
