And despite Terpie's interpreting I see no proof that KI is not going to continue to have DB and Beast as part of ERT. You are all relying upon a quote ( which I am paraphrasing) that gold pass holders can enjoy ERT on rides such as WindSeeker and Vortex. This does not say that WindSeeker and Vortex will be the only ERT rides. Again, I would check with the park.
-
Another thing on my wish list-that KI put some theming back into train.
-
The solution to this debate ( Actually I'm having fun debating Terpie-its a challenge-lol.) is simply to call the park and ask what rides will be part of ERT.
-
But it doesn't say there will be ERT only on Vortex and WindSeeker-the phrase "such as' means to me simply an example.
-
I don't see anywhere specifically stating that DB and Beast will not be part of ERT. What FAQ specifically are you referring to? Maybe I missed soemthing. And why would anyone be surprised at KI adding ERT rides? CP has done it a lot over the years.
-
^KI never said that there wasn't going to be ERT on DB or Beast-I mistakingly thought by reading your post only that was the case-however, I went back to the beginning of this thread and see that KI simply announced there would be ERT for both Vortex and WindSeeker. It appears they are simply adding additional rides for ERT.

I remember riding Cuddle Up at old Coney. It was my first non-kiddie ride. I remember slipping and falling before getting on the ride. ( The floor was real slippery.) Like Enchanted Voyage, Sky Ride, Bavarian Beetle, Der Spinnin Keggers,Tumble Bug ( I can go on and on.) here is another wonderful ride removed by KI in the name of "progress".

How about some restrooms by XBase? -
You were cute as a button, Jesse.
-
^Ooops, another senior moment for me.(LOL.)

I was crazy about HR Pufnstuf-Witchiepoo was an absolute hoot.
-
^They have all the episodes of Danger Island on Youtube-what a treasure trove.
-
I remember watching the Bananna Splits every Saturday morning when I was a kid. There were 3 other Bananna Splits in addition to Bingo-Flago ( the dog), Snorkie ( the elephant ) and I forgot the name of the third one. ( Help Jesse, Terpie, Hank or anyone else of a "certain age" like me.) I also remember how they had cartoon shorts on the show ( The Arabian Nights and The Three Musketeers) as well as a serial ( Danger Island-oh, oh, Chongo!!!!!)

^For me, it will always be the Scooby Doo Coaster. ( And did you catch some of those 70's fashions?)

^That used to be one of the major differences between CP and KI-starting with Magnum, CP would always build huge queue areas to make sure that the midways wouldn't be overflowing and would make sure to fill up the queues on busy days-it seems like KI at least in the 90's would let lines snake out onto the midway and would not fill up queues on busy days-The Beast was a good example of this. -

You should have seen how it was in the early years of Vortex without switchback queues-the line would snake all the way out along the midway causing all kinds of conjestion. I always wondered what management was thinking in their decision not to build a bunch of queues. -
Regarding The Beast 25 year video that Paul referred to: I found that video to be absolutely annoying especially when I heard it over and over and over again. Just my opinion, I am sure others will disagree with me.
-
I remember in the early years of QTV they would show cartoons such as Mighty Mouse.
-
Thank you, RCS. I look forward to an additional trip down memory lane.
-
Do you have any photos of The Beast queue area during the early years, including the old queue house where the photo station is now? Keep the cool photos coming, Paul.

If I am not mistaken, KI first started offering Season Passes in 1981.
-
I remember my dad getting coupons at Krogers for $1 off KI tickets. As Terpy said, $6 per ticket was still a lot of money then.

At least its not Achy Breaky Heart.
