  1. If I'm at the park and need Fast Lane for Congo Falls, I'm there on the wrong day.
  2. Honestly, I found the wait times to work decently last year except during Haunt and Winterfest.
  3. I more or less had the same deal last year. They really need to clear that up when you order. Does your mobile app have the "voucher" for your pass when you tap "Me?" I had that last year before I got the physical pass and was able to scan it to park, and scanned it at the entrance and had to specifically ask for my card. Like IndyGuy4KI said, the email confirmation should have your bar code too.
  4. ...No sidewinder fries? Those were great. Not a big fan of thick cut fries either.
  5. Does it? I must do well at avoiding crowds because it's the most reliably short line in the park for me. But I'm happy to hear that because I love The Bat.
  6. While WWC is opening this season according to the site, I'll be beyond upset if they remove it in the future without another river rapids ride to replace it. More so than the loss of Vortex, which meant a lot to me. BLSC being in Rivertown could be indication that they want to expand Rivertown further in that direction. Or maybe all of this is meaningless and we're just a bunch of dopes reading too much into a map.
  7. I think he's just being cynical but there's good reason to believe The Bat may be the next coaster to get the axe such as it's location, its ridership, the fact that its creator is no longer in business, etc etc. And then when it happens "service life" will be the reason given (which is fine. They have to say something and that's about the only thing you can say). The size was definitely clearly a major factor but probably compounded by the manufacturer's incompetence. I'll be curious to see if either TGG's precut track or a mix GCI's titan track leads to some larger rides. I agree that KI isn't needing another woodie. I wouldn't be against it if complements the others well enough but there are definitely bigger holes to fill.
  8. I don't know that its as much enthusiast vs. GP that's the issue as it is vacationers vs. passholders. Great theming and themed rides brings in those people who visit once every few years or once a year but those that go to parks repeatedly each year lose interest in that sort of thing quickly, imo, or at least don't value it as much as having a quality thrill ride that's worth repeating.
  9. You can order bring a friend tickets online or with the app. You're supposed to be limited to 4 guests per visit and you're supposed to be there with your guests and those are the only restrictions I know of (and they don't really seem to enforce either of those). The drink plan gets you soft drinks. Coke products. You can use them in at the fountain drink locations, freestyle locations and all of the restaurants. Pretty much any place in the park with Coke fountain machines. It does include fall and winterfest. As far as I know it is not good for hot chocolate, cider, alcohol, etc You get a choice between the regular drink plan (paper cups) or the season long souvenir cup. I stick with the drink plan because you can't get in line for Mystic Timbers, Orion or Banshee with a souvenir cup (no bins in the station).
  10. I'm not sure how much of a factor that story was. Pretty sure these parks have known for years that there are people who really take advantage but obviously that story went viral and they may have been afraid of even more people doing the same. Plus food prices have gone up a good bit and there is reason to believe there will be shortages. Their pricing now in general is surprising. Some say they should focusing on improving their parks *before* they start charging higher prices. Though most of their parks are still cheaper than CF.
  11. The wristband is good for multiple rides, which is why they do it. But people have different shapes and restraints vary quite a bit. Too many variations to consider.
  12. Honestly, aside from the retheme, I would like to see them add a new midway path. I was thinking they could create a "main" path (there are different ways of redirecting traffic) that goes from in front of the KI Theatre to between the restrooms and Invertigo, extend it out through where Congo and Timberwolf now are and then back up in the land where the skycoaster is. This would give them more opportunities for additions and it would also bring more guests by Invertigo and The Bat entrances in a more natural way. While I like that the park doesn't force you to walk as much as, say, Cedar Point, I think its due for an expansion of this sort.
  13. Last year was kind of my return to going out to parks but was only able to hit KI and CP. My hope is to at least hit KD, BGW, Carowinds, Kentucky Kingdom and Holiday World. Also, hoping to plan something more ambitious, like a trip through the midwest and a Florida trip. I have a lot of vacation saved up but its hard to use.
  14. The blueprint just shows an area with picnic grove, the train tracks, and the path that connects to Soak City. It's clearly a photoshopped image but they chose to add a real blueprint from the park, probably just to mess with everyone.
  15. DB and MT are my favorite rides at the park, but yeah they could have gone elsewhere. Rivertown definitely needs some attention in terms of scenery. Then again, much of the park does. Have you all seen videos of Jungle X-Pedition at KD? Makes me a little jealous. They even painted and rethemed Avalanche and it looks great. Action Zone could use that kind of attention.
  16. With that number of visits you're right on the line where you might be better off getting 2 all-day dining plans per visit (or at least longer visits) and taking turns eating. It has a 90-minute wait between meals and 2 would easily cover that size of family if you don't mind a losing a little bit more time from your day. The bonus is that you can try out different things and if someone doesn't like something, they can make up for it later. I would probably stick with the season dining just for convenience but its something to consider.
  17. Is Chicken Shack supposed to be good? I ordered a sandwich but they gave me tenders instead (and it was way too crowded to get it fixed). The tenders, imo, were just as awful as Corral's.
  18. I'm from closer to the Columbus area and had never seen Tom and Chee. We do have Skyline and LaRosa's but they aren't super common. At least all three are Cincinnati establishments. ChikFilA seems pretty popular at the park. Though I got the nuggets one time on my meal plan and they're so small. With that said, I would take it over the awful tenders that are served at places in the park. Subway is expendable to me because there aren't many people in the US who aren't within a quick distance of multiple Subway stores. Panda Express probably isn't popular enough to have real value to the park,. They would be better off with an original Chinese food restaurant, imo.
  19. I don't think I've done a passholder preview. What are those days like? Are a lot of rides closed? Crowds?
  20. Though the bid was rejected. I did get a laugh from this article posted days ago. It reads like all of their "research" for the article came from Seaworld PR. Even the headline makes it sound like a done deal. https://www.orlandoweekly.com/Blogs/archives/2022/02/10/seaworld-continues-to-expand-with-34-billion-buyout-of-cedar-fair
  21. Seems like a pointless article. Yes, Six Flags is in the same industry and previously tried to acquire CF. So yes they are always a potential predator for CF. But hey maybe Hershey wants to expand and have 11 more candy-themed parks. Or maybe Herschend wants a merger. Or maybe some chinese company wants to come in.
  22. They could just move KD directly next to KI, tower and all, and then the sky ride would connect to the two. Wouldn't that be something?
  23. They don't really have much choice there if they want to add something that big. Other parks manage with parking garages, like Universal Orlando. That's not to say its not a nightmare but so is trying to get out of the Cedar Point parking lot at the end of the day.
  24. I would think it would have to be pretty major? Didn't The Racer lose a dip before the station when FOF was built while retaining its status? Or that is to say, it still earned its status later on.
  25. I've had restraints move up one position/click during a ride before, so I certainly won't question that rule. I'm guessing its when the ratchet wasn't fully in position despite the audible click.
