  1. I have a rather special TR, this time from P&G Day 2015. Got there a bit before 10 am due to no ERT and headed to Rivertown. Usually at P&G Day, people are in lines to pick up free stuff with vouchers that are mailed with the tickets. Over the day, lines accumulate, but nothing over 15 minutes, even for the likes of Firehawk, Invertigo and the major flats. It was much less crowded than any day I've been to the park. Nearly everything was a walk on or in the case of flats, a single cycle wait. Even X-Base. WindSeeker and Drop Tower were down most of the day for high winds, which, we got to Drop Tower once the skies cleared up, while only brief with winds picking up again later. BTW, there was overcast and a misty rain through most of the morning and early afternoon. Cleared up by dinner. Beast and Racer ran spectacularly the rest of the day (including either less biting trims on the former or no trims on the later). The weather after it rained was absolutely perfect. A nice Autumn brisk-ness was in place by sunset. So you may be thinking- why the thread title? Well.... With the lack of live entertainment, we had to take breaks from riding a lot. We rode KI&MVRR 3 times. Eiffel Tower 2 times (one of which to catch the fireworks). We tried to stretch our time at the Reds HOFG (watched a bit of the OSU and UC games, both nail biters) to kill more time. I think we ended up getting all the major popular rides at least 3 times. Overall, the only adult section rides we missed were Scrambler, WindSeeker, Skyflyer and Sling Shot. We wanted some sort of lines to burn time off. Again, even X-Base failed us. The longest we waited was for Dodgems. The longest line overall belonged to Woodstock Gliders, which, was ironically too long (this was after walking a while). We even tried a few front seat rides to get some sort of wait. Got in 6 night rides in less than an hour (Diamondback, Beast, Vortex, AE, Banshee and Bat) still had time to get to ET for the fireworks. Note to self- come later for P&G Days.
  2. I hope they're not done with adjustments as it looked to have some near stalls at parts. I hope if GG wants to market it that it'll have better capacity than 8 people. It is a pretty neat concept for a shuttle coaster though. A vertical drop on a woodie looks funky.
  3. Just out of curiosity, does anyone here know for sure if Off the Charts or some variation will be back next season? silver2005, curious and hopeful for multiple reasons.
  4. Another aesthetic thing I like about it is the path interaction. The paths are really close to all those really big elements. I'm also glad they're getting rid of the dead end by Blue Streak.
  5. I'll also say that the copper and blue is starting to grow on me, but that added silver on it looks odd.
  6. I know y'all are harking on the fact its only 8 across, but its also not that long of a ride in terms of time. I don't think its that big a deal in the long run. I've never been on a dive machine, but I dig free fall in about any form even if it is 'gimmicky' (like some tell me about TTD), so I'm looking forward to this. Having that roll with those wide trains looks fun. Its fitting it has the records, including this being B&M's 100th. Not bad at all.
  7. ^Just wait until DC starts their cinematic universe.
  8. I wonder what company is overseeing the Revolution overhaul.
  9. Not too surprised by the Justice League or Larson looping rides, though its refreshing to see Great Escape get some love. The ride packages for the Texas parks, La Ronde, and SFoG looks nice, maybe SFMM could get something like that eventually. Speaking of which, I imagine enthusiasts are pretty excited for Revolution getting some TLC. I'm excited to see how much of its full potential they can get back. Roar's RMC-ing was pretty obvious, and with NJFTP's addition, I'm a little surprised at the lack of coasters added. Makes me glad SIX knows to focus on other areas.
  10. Its also odd they didn't wait until the Six Flags announcements to write this.
  11. Man...we're kind of bad at honoring the 11th Commandment.
  12. One thing I wish AE did after that last tunnel is instead of going back the station immediately, that it would have some sort of crazy fast layout before the brakes, kind of like BBW's layout after its 2nd lift.
  13. I remember those effects well. Scared the crap out of me back before I began to like coasters.
  14. ^But not everyone at the park is on the meal plan. In fact, I'd guess a majority of guests are paying at the stands.
  15. ^I don't think it was completely re-tracked, but I know most of it has been, particularly the series of drops after the 2nd tunnel and the helix. I think parts of it between the first drop and the brake shed were as well.
  16. ^^Just because you felt that way doesn't mean everyone else does. Everyone is different, and I think The Beast is fine at being a quality coaster a lot of people can enjoy. I know and have seen people excited to ride Beast for the first time, I've seen it scare some people (including yours truly back in my early visits to KI), I've seen people start off scared and found it amazing, and I've seen people unimpressed by it, either by its rough edges or the way its drawn out in spots. You can't go off your own perception as being the perception of every person. BTW, its just been re-tracked over the last 5-7 years (I think it was either GCI or done in-house) and most here would agree its running the best its ever had since that work has been done.
  17. Even if Beast were taken down, that land would be a terrible place to expand the park's paths. The terrain is much too steep and hilly.
  18. I haven't any problems with Frisch's as is and I enjoy their breakfast and a Big Boy every now and then, plus their hot fudge cake is out of this world, but I agree they could use more variety on the menu. I am happy they are looking at switching back to Coke though. They offer flavored soft drinks, and they taste way too sweet with Pepsi products.
  19. ^And one of my favorite racing coasters, 2nd only to Lightning Racer.
  20. I got bored today and decided for a trip up to ye olde Kings Mills this evening. In realizing I'll only be able to go to the park until early November before my year and a half hiatus, I'm gonna make the most of it (including a planned trip to the Haunt and going closing day). It turned to be a great night. Aside from the slow moving Diamondback crew, nothing was more than 15 minutes, but that was only for Backlot and Flight of Fear. Everything else was either a single cycle wait (Drop Tower and Delirium) or walk on. In light of people here making me lose sleep over Racer's false removal, I got plenty of rides on her tonight, including one where I left the bar up that one extra click and boy was it awesome! Banshee crew was really, really hyper tonight which made things very annoying. And to top it off, I got a gorgeous Beast full moon night ride. The air is starting to turn more crisp and cool in the evening, which I simply love on a Beast night excursion, and that full moon bathing the track in this ominous white light was just perfect. Autumn is my absolute favorite time to ride Beast. I'm also baffled that there were Fast Lane purchases tonight. Just....why?
  21. Backlot didn't have all its special effects running tonight either. There were also random people in the International Restaurant just before the fireworks.
