MF's also track better because the wheels are more articulated than on PTC's. More shuffling going on with multi-bench cars. I do have a thought that is a bit interesting, but also a bit blasphemous- would MF's be able to make the circuit on Beast? Also, could GCI do more than 12 car trains?

I will say Paramount made Action Zone work out pretty nicely, at least in concept when they topped it off with Son of Beast and later Delirium. Nick Universe and Boomerang Bay were also pretty good from them. But yeah... Action Theater- random building between Racer turnarounds Flight of Fear- random building behind Racer Tomb Raider- Random building in Rivertown Backlot- Urban LA themed coaster just kinda there They had that affect at some of the other parks as well. Hypersonic was pretty much plopped in the middle of the midway at Kings Dominion, not to mention the amalgamation of rides around Volcano that shared no theme whatsoever. They didn't do much to spruce up Stealth when it was at Great America. I also thought Carowinds had kind of a bland look under Paramount, at least looking at pictures. And they pretty much made Canada's Wonderland the flat ride capital of the world. Pretty sure HUSS made CW their stomping grounds. They seemed to also favor Vekoma's a lot.

^Vortex was the one coaster at KI that took the longest for me to warm up to. It took me a while to get the courage to ride it (it was the tallest coaster in the park at the time), but I loved it since that ride. I also got my first Beast night ride shortly thereafter. It was the first ride on Beast that I actually enjoyed, the previous time, I was pretty scared of it.

^In that same line of thinking, Joker at SFGAdv, a S&S Free Spin, also handled lines extremely well.

Dollywood and Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge followed by pretty much all of Eastern Pennsylvania for me.

^You can't prevent every bad incident on the internet ever. You also can't predict when and where that kind of behavior will pop up. Yes, all that stuff is a problem, but really the only thing you can do is deal with each incident as it comes up. It honestly looks like you need mental help if you can't help but bring up all this stuff again and again and not trust members of the site with reporting such behavior. You're very naive to think that the KIC mods, few as they are, can cast such a wide and detailed net to protect everyone on the site at all times. Being vigilant is important, but constantly bashing us over the head with it isn't doing anyone any good. Most people know by now that the internet can have unsavory characters in it, as well as the coaster/park enthusiast community. You're not breaking any new ground. Most of the points you keep bringing up are common sense stuff. Most of the members here take issue with you not by you wanting KIC to be safe, but by the fact you are opening old wounds that most of us have moved on from. Just because you haven't doesn't mean we haven't. There's evidence you're skipping on purpose just so you can go on this tirade, and I'm sure the mods have brought this up to you before. If you're really that dismayed about how KIC handles that stuff, then it might be better for you just to leave, because its obvious no one will give you the satisfactory answers you're hoping to attain. You haven't gone over in your head what that actually looks like, hence you dragging all the members here in a constant mobius loop of your posting behavior. I'm kind of irked that the mods haven't done so already. You've devolved into a nuisance on this site.

The community is already safe as it is going by the mods actions and words on this and other relevant threads. You're the one opening up old wounds just because you don't think something is going the way it should. The people in question whom you mention are no longer part of this and several other communities, which, is the least of that person's problems if you know how anything regarding that kind of behavior entails. Everything that was supposed to be done is done. If you think I'm defending that person, you also couldn't be more wrong. In fact, I'm feeling guilty I had any association with him because he led me to having a hiatus from here that really made me question a lot of things about myself. I got caught up in his drama over the drones in the wrong way. I'm not arguing against anti-safety, that's you putting words in my mouth and assuming things that are not true. Par for the course for you if that whole constructions flags/Invertigo/water line sham you were trying to push is any indication. Your news site is full of hearsay stories with no actual proper journalism to constitute real news on parks. You are a fraud. Furthermore, you have to be constantly told to let go of things and stop beating a dead horse. You're the kind of person who likes to make sure everyone knows you're right regardless of how it makes others feel, a serious lack of empathy towards others. You really have no clue how most people on this site view you or self awareness in the way you act here most of the time. Most of the last few drama moments around here have been centered on how you keep doing all that. Get a clue.

I'm a bit annoyed that notifications for both being quoted and getting stuff liked are put together. I like the former but not the later. Also moving the edit post button is a bit annoying. I've been almost accidentally quoting my posts instead of editing them.

One thing I noticed was that Orion got better later in the day. In the morning, it didn't feel quite as quick, but by the afternoon (on a rather hot day mind you for the day I went) it was a-flyin'. MF and TTD have similar tendancies from my experience.

The reason I go to Dollywood is for the complete package. To me, anyways, they have a pretty good ride selection, but its complimented very well by the rest of the park- the shows, food, staff, atmosphere, the combination of all that combined is why I feel its a leg above any other park I've been to and is my favorite park. I feel if you're going to Dollywood just for the rides, you're missing out on a whole lot of good stuff.

If I were you, I'd even go so far as to call the park up and explain things. They might set you up even better given the circumstances. Hope this turns out awesome for you guys.

Single rails probably allow for less supports to be used since I imagine using solid steel track adds some structural integrity. That probably also allows RMC to do more intense maneuvers and tighter radiuses when it comes to curves, airtime hills, and inversions.

If you plug in Kings Island to Google Maps, its now updated up to this past off season. It shows pretty well how they stored the track until it was ready to go together.

None of the above. However, one of the types of coasters that I hope fills The Vortex void is a ground-up RMC Topper Track.

Realize the SOB station is that of a wooden coaster that hasn't been maintained since 2009. Might be a few structural issues potentially.

I think the best place for a museum would be Tower Gardens TBH, kind of like they did when they had Paramount Story there. Maybe include the area around Grand Carousel.

I Street used to smell wonderful in the morning at at close with those bakeries. A fresh cinnamon roll after a Beast night ride was THE best. And yes, the stuff they had was as good as it smelled. I'm glad I got to indulge in stuff from them before they bit the dust.

^RMC can do a-plenty with that space. You could put a 170 ft RMC Topper Track there easily with some good length.

Now that I've had a good look at the area, I'm ruling out a launch coaster that'll go above 70+ mph (one of my hopes) unless they go the S&S route with some sort of ultra fast acceleration (also knowing how long a launch track coasters like Storm Runner take to get to 70 mph). Also, unless its a dive coaster (I don't want a B&M period, but its still a possibility) or a Gerstlauer with a vertical lift, I'd rule out something there going for the 200 ft mark. Vortex was only 148 ft (granted, it had a pretty shallow lift hill compared to modern lifts).

I will premise this by saying both coasters are really good. I will say I like Diamondback a little bit better. While Orion does really well at having nice big elements and decent speed, I feel Diamondback has a bit more meat to the bones. The pacing of hill to hill is faster on DB and it has stronger air as well. It could change with more re-rides of Orion, but for now, I slightly prefer Diamondback.
