  1. Agreed, micro analyzing back and fourth takes all the fun out of it. Posts that do just that just rile people up for no reason. Those posts will be removed and offending members issued a warning going forward.
  2. It may not be as deep as "Look over there, they have an unclaimed coaster. Let's throw that in the park here to take attention off of TT2 in 2025". Alternatively, it would be ludicrous to say that they did not discuss this during their decision making on this addition,
  3. It's the time of year again for pumpkin flavored everything. As the cooler weather moves in, you now have to find where you hid those jackets you put away where you would not forget. Spending more time indoors and enjoying the return of your favorite shows as they come put with new episodes. This all sounds well and good, but Kings Island fans have another thing on their mind. Spooky Season with Haunt The return of night rides on The Beast The kids enjoying Tricks and Treats Just being back at their favorite escape from reality location This year Haunt returns with a new scare zone called Hooked. The ghosts of a sunken pirate ship have returned to claim the treasure that is theirs! Dead men tell no tales...but they do want revenge! When the bells toll and the fog rolls in, BEWARE! What you can't see can't hurt you...but it can kill you! Haunt runs select nights from September 20 - November 2. Park calendar: https://www.visitkingsisland.com/calendar-and-hours Your little ones can enjoy Tricks and Treats on Saturdays & Sundays, September 22 - November 3, 2024 KICentral hopes you enjoy the fall season at Kings Island and we hope you post your reviews on KIC here: https://kicentral.com/forums/topic/48747-kings-island-halloween-haunt-2024-reviews Park Map
  4. We will use this thread for Haunt 2024 reviews!
  5. Can we get word on the manufacturer so we know where to set our expectations?
  6. It was very evident at the Wine Fest and Grand Carnivale that was a very bad decision.
  7. In am so open to a ground up RMC. Leave all the woodies alone and start from scratch.
  8. As much as it hurts to say I can't disagree with it's drop. We do have a great kids area, but you also have to convince people why it's the best kids area. That's why there are marketing and comms departments. I realize some is controlled by Charlotte, but still.
  9. I would love for KI to have one Here is what this cliff looks like. I took this when I was there in July. This is one of the highest points in the park.
  10. Rode Superman 3 times today at SF Great America. It made me miss FH less. I never was a big fan and I have to totally disagree with @silver2005, the B&M restraints are way better than Vekomas'.
  11. I thought that was weird too. I was talking to Mike and some of the other gold tags after I had the chefs plate. I will share what I told them. "It was the best chefs plate I had ever had." Perfect portion size. The meat was tender, juicy, and well seasoned. The potato cakes were very flavorful. The carrots were well cooked.
  12. Congratulations! A new enthusiast will be born soon.
  13. In case you hadn't noticed, the New in 2025 page is up on the main site. I will add this thread on the page soon. There is a construction gallery as well. If anyone would like to contribute a picture(s) go here: https://kicentral.com/kic-photo-submission/
  14. I don't think parks understand the influence enthusiasts have on park sales. Yes, there are negative comments sometimes. Some enthusiasts take not seeing the park at its peak potential personally and get extreme with their expectations. That much is very clear. How many times have you seen me on the KIC social channels promoting sweet spot sales, apparel sales, and pass sales? Same with the FB pass holders, and other channels. Parks have no problem displaying Amusement Today's awards. Who do they think votes in those polls? They may not like a few enthusiasts' attitudes or comments, but bottom line they need to play ball if they want to win awards and increase additional park sales. Considering they keep cutting budgets and such, you'd think that they'd be taking any lifeline they can get for free.
  15. Does it count as a new disappointment if most of the structure is the same ride?
