I don't know the exact minimum temperature for Mystic Timbers...but I do know that as long as the ride is started at or above the minimum temperature it can typically run if the temperature drops below it, barring any other unforeseen circumstances.

If that were the case, they'd just shut down that entrance. Here's the thing....since they don't offer Fast Lane for Winterfest....they allow for single riders/groups willing to be split up in it's place. They don't even have to do that....but it's a way to 1) allow for folks by their selves or groups willing to split up to ride without having to wait as long and 2) to increase capacity, especially with being down one train. I guess my irritation for this is that the park doesn't have to do anything special like this....they could have easily just said everyone has to go through the queue but they didn't and folks are complaining about it as if their life is dramatically worse because of what they perceive as people abusing the single rider line. It's one thing to be irritated by folks literally line jumping in the regular queue but it's insane to be irritated by a system that is designed to speed up the process as well as increase capacity and how others choose to use it.

I want to know the version of "Christmas Time Is Here" as the opening song of "Charlie Brown's Christmas Spectacular" so if anyone knows it let me know!

Last night was quite busy for it being a Sunday. I am absolutely in love with this event. The shows have been sooooo amazing! I think the shows are at such a high caliber. I hope that flows through to the regular season...these shows are so great!

I find it funny that the OP calls for Fast Lane to be brought back for Mystic Timbers instead of a single rider line...which would then in turn have a big group of people just "line jumping" because they are paying for it. So OP is fine when people pay to board before they do...but if they're not paying it's not okay.

^^ And Voyage is constantly going through track improvements/rebuilds.

Looking at the webcams...doesn't look like there is anything on there at the moment.....that's not to say it hasn't been completed and/or turned on.

Maybe putting Christmas lights up?

Which buffet did you eat at? There are several and I personally prefer Miss Lillian's Smokehouse and Fried Chicken. Glad you got to experience the park at Christmas time! Did you see any shows? I agree with you on Lightning Rod! Thanks for sharing your trip report with us!

It's not necessarily a "sleigh ride" but it's a tubing hill.

@CoastersRZ I see what you did there! While this is exciting for those who visit their waterpark frequently....to me it doesn't make me want to visit Holiday World again...I went for Thunderbird's Media Day and that was my last trip there....I'd love to visit more often, but to me it doesn't have that thrill quenching aspect for me. I'll likely go for Holiwood Nights but that'll be my one and only time this coming year.

I think it looks fine with the giant stars on each side. Not the best picture, but it came from Carowinds on Twitter.....their lights don't go all the way up their observation tower either.

That'd be a great way to do it, but I don't think they really have to announce it. Sometimes park patrons (us) are the best marketing sources and the info will get out there either by us or someone else. Side note, anyone stop to see if any plans have been filed?

Doesn't always work...frames only allow certain things, i.e. Millennium Force can really only get a row at a time....and if it can get a 2nd row in the car, it cuts off one person.

The only thing I don't like about FunPix is that some pictures aren't able to be customized....what I mean by that is you aren't able to move the picture to get everyone on your car in the picture but you can also attribute that to the standard frame (for example Millennium Force).

It's always a possibility...but the KI Dinos would have to go through a really big refurbishment.

I've compiled a list of all of the WinterFest shows to help everyone plan which shows they'd like to see and when!

I know that there is competition for Holiday events around the region, but I hate how they featured other events...so you're doing a story on Kings Island's Winterfest and it's exciting return...yet you're sharing clips of other events and talking about how it's competition.

^^ That's why when I go to ride Thunderbird, I will ride it as much as I can/want to before going elsewhere...ain't nobody got time to climb Mt. Thunderbird more than once.

By the looks of some pictures released on either Snapchat or Twitter, the skate shop will be located in the Peanuts portion of the Emporium.

Likely would still be loud, but it would be a little bit easier to deal with.
