  1. I feel it's good to mention that many of the things people are saying are good are from the early Paramount days. The bad is mainly from the CBS days.... Also if there was a contract limit that B&M can't work with a park within X amount of miles, why is the blame on paramount for not using said company Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Could be really cool. The one they did for Monsters Inc 2 or whatever they were promoting looked good as well Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. That's not terrible... $82 a person for a group of 8. Ears are $25? Ice cream 5? Depending on the food and snacks let's say $10. So that's about $40 per person for the viewing area, a nice looking tent with furniture, and a rest spot. Maybe not great if you go by your self and family but if you go with 3 other couples, or two families of four.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Still though that's 1/50th of the pool lost each day? I'm sure you are right but that seems like a lot but who knows. Puddles can dry out in an hour so I believe it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Maybe a haunted house type of ride or roller coaster? Maybe some classic or antique car ride Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. If you plan on using them, sort of. We went 2 summers and again this spring. You have to plan which park you want to go to (I usually go to the one with extended hours) and then pick 3 rides you want to ride and get times for them. Also since I know which park I'll be at then I'll make dining reservations as well. Some people don't like knowing which park till they get here. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Thanks. I'm a union teacher and was in a union for tv but I'd call my teachers union a union lite compared to the big guys in the trade fields. That's for the info! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Dumb honest question. If RMc is not union would they be scabs or just doing their jobs? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Many unions will support and symbolically join them on there picket line. So if the RMC crew are Union they may not want to cross the CF line out of respect Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I never used Disneys old system but to say it was fair seems a bit of a stretch. You have many on here that they would run around collecting times for their group. If you couldn't run around or were new to the whole process it seems a bit unfair. At least with new FP you can book online or when in the park you can do it via mobile. The Universal system looks to be very fair though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Isn't this what everyone complained that Disney would do? The article reads that this is a positive but I remember right after Magic Bands came out everyone derided them. So no "stand by" line. I'm guessing you won't be able to swipe more tHan 1 ride at a time. I love this concept and I'm sure this will go well but unsure of how this will work in practice. No one in line means more people in other areas? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. The park extends the gold pass offer for 3 more days Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. And could the conveyor system make a difference? It's been a while since I looked at WWC but isn't our conveyor blades much closer together and/or has a rubber "belt" while this one looks much more spread out between bars Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Latching!!! Got it. I read it as ratcheting.... My badSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. According to an article from news.com.au (which has compiled information from several sources), this happened near the end of the ride when one raft hit an empty raft and flipped over. The article also says that the ride uses velcro straps to secure riders, rather than the latching seatbelts seen on Whitewater Canyon. http://www.news.com.au/national/queensland/at-least-four-people-injured-after-serious-dreamworld-incident/news-story/ab194466f5fd49e1e1c17e5468bbbd47 Wait I thought WWC had Velcro belts and not ratcheting? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Terp how much of the original ride (roughly) has to be moved to not need to follow current standards? Also when they move a wooden coaster how do they do it? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. http://www.themeparktourist.com/features/20160911/32179/twilight-twilight-zone-tower-terror?utm_source=Facebook&utm_medium=Social%20Adv&utm_campaign=ToT%20Story%20DP A good little read. I disagree with some of it and from someone who watches the comic book realm and its stories they miss on a few big points about the Guardians and their roles in the films. But it's an interesting take. Guardians was used because Marvel needed to get to Outer Space and it doesn't have a way to do so without Guardians. FF or Xmen would have been a more direct route but both of those franchise rights live in a different studio house that won't play ball with them. So guardians wins by default. 18. In fairness that stand always looked dead when I was there the last few years. Even with the Philly Steaks... Sort of an odd spot for a food stand in general... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I'm not sure an age limit is the best solution. My mom and dad took my sister and I through haunts when we were young (7/8?) and we loved it. Not at first but we loved the adrenaline. I think you have to leave it at the parents. There are some haunts that may be appropriate and some are not. And some times a kid is great in one situation but not the other. We as parents have to know our kids but sometimes we don't know what our kids can't handle until they don't handle it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. That's not defunct right? Just name change? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Maybe I'm in the minority but... I kinda dig it. My whole life I had heroes from the funny pages. And never could really be immersed. Then Spider-Man the Ride in Orlando was great. Now for this its just such a cool look for the collector. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. I think that's the hard part to justify but it happens. In cities the price of a burger goes up not because it got better but because many people come to that restaurant and order that burger. As with Disney the value got better each year that an increase was worth it (imo). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. And isn't that the price in he restaurant or close to it? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. These boards, in general, are a great example of everything right and wrong with enthusiasts and park goers. We want our nostalgia and we want new. Most times they can't work together forever. Disney spent a ton of money to upgrade the FP experience along with streamlining everything at WDW (which I absolutely loved, but I can understand while others wouldn't). But when they did that there were complaints about how nothing new was added. Prices go up on tickets and people complain about not being able to afford it. But the place is too packed or stuff costs too much money. And now the discussion of the rides leaving or being replaced. It's inevitable but will happen. One day Beast won't be at KI and one day It's A Small Word won't be at Disney. (Not commenting on one person or discussion just overall) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. As for the Columbus one it looks like the franchisee is openin a different restaurant in the Hillard location. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
