Kings Island Band Organ Work 2017 (Updated 6/21/17)
shark6495 replied to hosscat's topic in Kings Island
Hoss you are a treasure to the park, to this ride, to the thousands of families that get to enjoy it. Also rock music on he organ would be fun to say the least Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
The waiters did add to it. A nice family dinner with someone bringing you your food and drinks. Refills! And maybe the smoke house. But isn't that in the water park? So for full service with the bathing suit crowd? I don't think it will be there.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

So the park no longer has a full service restaurant then..... that's terribly sad.... in another post talked about KI becoming a go to resort again.... not sure that's the way to go Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I almost forgot how much fun this place was..... look there Is nothing wrong for expecting the best.... if you just want to fight then i can do it. But just cause you point out a flaw doesn't mean you hate something. This park is the park I grew up with. For many of us we remember when Kings Island was a top park. They did the little things right that made it a top spot. You didn't have to "go to Disney" to get the good service. You're "go to Disney" comment rings hollow. A park isn't defined by how many rides it has, it's defined by the memories it makes. As an aside I do go to Disney. Probably every other year on average. Why should I expect top tier service to end there? You don't walk into an Outback and say "well if you wanted good service you should have gone to Jeff Ruby's".... first day or last day people expect the employees to be professional. To be courteous. To be knowledgeable. Making up stats on a coaster, changing the names, singing on a mic... these may all seem fun to the young teenagers but to most adults. It's not. It's annoying. It's brutal. It's not professional. If you have to engage in infantile jokes to have fun then that person needs to mature..... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

As compared to Busch, Disney, and Universal? I missed where they purposely call rides the wrong names.... Also at those 3, they have bigger crowds and yet find a way to have quick service at their restaurants..... They are professional and have fun.... it's a juvenile mindset that to have fun we must all fall to the lowest common denominator..... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The waits not the problem.... possibly the under staffed, under trained, poorly managed, stuff is the problem.... if you don't complain to the management then they assume every thing is good. If you don't tell about the rude employee they can't get trained to be better. There is a difference between being patient and being complicit..... Also you assume people are upset because they make observations... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Professionalism... that's all Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I don't think we will see it return. It's given up too much land. That golf course? Not owned by Ki... Resort? No longer owned.... Great Wolf Lodge? Not owned... It would take a great capital expense to repurchase this land at modern day evaluation. So no, a tram won't run from one place to another, sadly no it won't return. It's a regional park - maybe. It's a good park but so much has to be done to make it a destination.... "Come drive 8 hours to visit Kings Island, park in our barely visible parking lines, walk 3/4 of a mile to the front gate, leave grandma at the front gate and maybe she can enjoy the smoking gardens and a show in the festhause. Her hearing is bad enough it won't be too loud for her"..... In all seriousness, KI does a lot right but what it gets wrong would seriously need to be fixed before it becomes a resort park Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Or they could properly train staff and be ready.... not like every year has the same problems of terrible line management, slow food service, disinterested and rude employees.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Same arguments that myself and many others made last year. Goes with speiling. There is a level of professionalism that goes with the job. Yes that's funny they made a reference to a coaster that cost a bunch of money, sent people to the hospital, and made a joke out of it. I hope no one who was injured or a family member of the injured heard the jokes...... Also to the typical guest, name rides are confusing. If someone hears them call it SoB and then looks it up and finds out it's not the right name, guess who loses credibility? The park. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

And that's the kind of stuff I hate when they do it in the park Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

And shrimp there as well Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I hope it doesn't police. Just let discussions go where they go. If you don't want to know avoid certain topics and ride the ride Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

True if The Racer were to leave it would be a Thunder Road to walk down.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Not doing a KIC meetup ever and meeting Terp or the rest of the good ones that have left these boards either voluntarily or else Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

And I'm in the opposite camp. We really like the meal plan. It allows us some freedom and it's cheaper than what we'd normally do. We hit up almost all character buffets. They can range from 35-60/adult. The meal plan made it easier to eat the buffet and still eat lunch (or light dinner) plus a snack each day. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Ringling Bros. To Close After 146 Years
shark6495 replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
You can literally say that about anything. If the interest isn't there, then KI won't be around. I think the poster was just saying that Cirque which has been around some time now, has found a way to keep reinventing itself and has the possibility to be around for decades. Back up and running. Thank you sir. I missed this place. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Tapatalk says to let you know that it is still down. I know now you said it was up and running but maybe not?
