Yeah I disagree as well. The added demand sure I get that. But when you are the only one in line and it still takes forever and the sup doesn't care or can't control.... You either need pride in your job or have a fear of losing it... Disney instills a strange cult like pride in their workers (plus a legit fear that they would be fired). The workers at KI for the most part seem to lack one or both... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I don't remember when the park had themed areas. Even going back 10 years ago... The names of the lands were there but theming? Not so much. What bothers me is the Floral Clock not even having arms on it. That tells me that something either is broken or something is being moved. For restaurants, I think the problem is you have youth supervisors. They probably don't have the power to cut hours or fire anyone. If there is no fear of losing your job, then you won't work as hard... Compare ordering a 3way in the park and out of it. If you order in the park, you are looking at a 10 minute process. Out of the park, it's a 2 minute creation.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I really like the gliders, the position for them, Surf Dog, the former Reptar ride (really dont know its name), and even Race for Your Life Charlie Brown, puts the rides in the weird part of kiddie land but not really just kid rides..... Not to mention the Woodstock Express... My buddy and I rode the gliders and a few parents gave us side way eyes as we jumped inline and went and rode it... but hey what can you do....

People mistake not smooth as glass as rough. I expect things made today to be better than something 30 years ago. Ride Vortex and Adventure Express and Invertigo on Wednesday. Walked off Invertigo and AE with massive headaches... Ride Vortex and had nothing... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Just got home. The park was packed. 12 hours in and rode the following, Bat, Scrambler, Shake Rattle and Roll, 6 slides at Soak City + wave pool, and then capped it off with a night ride on Surf Dog, the yellow suspended coaster formerly known as Reptar, and a wonderful almost midnight ride on The Beast... Maybe they are huge fans of Deal or No Deal....Meijer is the banker and they are the player.... The one has now sat unused for almost 10 years? Seems like any company coming in would have the upper hand here. Meanwhile CF is attempting to make something from their land. Stupid question, could the refusal by the council be influenced by a negative reaction to CF closing down the dry side? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Actually the employee night comment makes me even more upset. Look I get it if an employee was just cleaning up and maybe he/she emptied the lockers a few minutes early. I totally get that. I'm slightly upset but can totally see how that happens. But knowing that it was cleaned out early so the employees can ride rides..... That's beyond infuriating. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Well that makes me waiting for an extra 30 mins without keys, wallet, or cell phone completely better.... That's actually worse. So instead of just cleaning up early they did all that for an employee night.... Up until this year I have been a huge KI supporter in everything. Now I have to compare it to Disney. What would Disney do? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Went to the park today and everything was great till the end. kI managed to ruin our day in the park by one little goof. At 9 we went to renew our locker at the Banshee locker. The locker lady said we would be fine even if we rode Beast at 10.... Well at 1015/20 we went to go collect our stuff. The lockers were cleaned out. So we had to wait for 30 mins at the front gate for our stuff to be taken to Lost and Found... Look if you can access the lockers past 10:15 then that needs to be stated. That needs to be communicated to the guests. The machine is no more than a glorified ATM. You could make it not allow a renewal after 815 so no machine is rented out past 1015. Or something. Just aggravated because I didn't know where my personal gear is. On a positive. 7-1 on The Vortex is glorious and The Beast front row at night is beautiful!!! And... I got a sort of snap, a baby snap(?), on the new Gliders.... It actually caught me by surprise. It was awesome. As an Edit: I did fill out a complaint form before leaving... Ugh. Probably over something stupid and neither side could keep their mouth quiet before it escalated into this. This is one of the reasons I try to ignore groups of people who try to cause trouble. I don't want to be involved in any fight Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I don't recall a single spiel at Disney this summer. I do recall always being greeted with a smile and an employee telling me what needed to be done. Also, Disney seems to do their FP and regular line merge before the stations. Which allows guests to fill in on all rides. And they were not afraid to send a few cars worth of guests into the turn stiles... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I don't think it's any different when the park had Hannah Barbara or Nick. Some characters you know right away (Charlie, Snoopy, Linus, Lucy) and others you have to look up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I actually never realized how much I do not enjoy spiels.... Comparing to WDW where the ride ops greet you, and check you with a smile, and you are on your way. No spiels. No silly jokes....

Agreed on Paramount... It really felt like a national park. As you walked around you saw Fred Flintstone and a Klingon, plus it brought something to the park having that sort of atmosphere. On a positive saw Let It Rock the other day in the Festhaus. A good show, and it was enjoyable. But man, I wish the Festhaus would get a German Biergarden in there. We talk about having the International Restaurant back, why not turn the Festhaus into a sit down place. So you could have the Reds Grill on one side of the park and Festhaus on the other... Maybe turn it into a Hoffbrauhaus? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

In all fairness, the coaster isnt in free fall it is pushed over the top by the lift chain... So you could go with something like this (found here ) 1/2v(squared, top) + gh = 1/2v(squared, bottom) so gravity is 9.8 and the first drop is 82 feet 24.99 meters so lets say the coaster tops at 5 MPH (2.2 mps) 1/2(2.2*2.2) + (9.8*24.99) = 1/2 vsquared 1/2 (4.84) + (244.9) = 1/2 vsquared 2.42+244.9=1/2vsquared 247.3=1/2vsquared 494.6=vsquared 22.24=v 22.24 MPS = 49 MPH... So yeah you are 100% right...... Now if its launched at say 10 MPH (4.4), thats only 50.... I would guess the top speed happens from a different point than the first drop. I leave it to you! But if it clears the second with some speed, maybe? Yeah Im toasted...

Agreed but 4 acres of no use brings in 2000/yr. If something were to be brought in, say a Meijer, then the tax rate of goods sold is 7 % (5.75 to the state 1.25 to the county). Plus the value of the land would probably increase.... So just for fun, lets say 8 acres currently brings in 4000 for no use. Lets say Meijer turns that 8 acres into a shopping center. The shopping center should cause the property tax to increase, by say twice? So now that property is worth 8000 a year. Lets say that Meijer brings in 500,000 in sales for taxable goods in the first year. That would be 6250 more in tax dollars for the county...

Just like Jsus said, nothing has been on that land bringing large amounts of tax dollars in 8 years. Just building the property would bring people into the town for construction. Then the new building would require people to work in that store. The company brings in photo people for the little booth. Trucks bring goods to the store. Those truckers sometimes need to stop for fuel and food. More jobs means more money to spend. Plus just because something is agreed upon early on doesnt mean it cant be renegotiated at a later point. Isnt this the same town who didnt want to expand the highway?Which sort of hurt the park in its expansion phase?
