Okay then I'm not crazy. I thought I saw the hands earlier in the year but wasn't quite sure. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Also yesterday was the first day after the All-Star game. Fans who had been in town over the weekend might have stayed an extra day to do the park on vacation. Saw a few out of town jerseys and plates in the parking lot yesterday Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Went to the park today for a few hours with toddler shark. We hit up Planet Snoopy, a great cheese steak at Snake Pit, and a trip on the train. Has the flower clock been up this year? I noticed the part where the gears would be is still covered up. Also, man the train ride needs some paint on those buildings.... On a great positive toddler shark rode the kid bumper cars for the first time. He had a great time but couldn't figure out how to not get it to go in reverse circles! Odds are the Police and the Security Guard are not and will not be available for interviews. Also just realized it's the parks police department not the city's.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

I really hope that the guilty party (no matter what side it is) gets taken care of. We had a cop that would patrol our school. One day he said "I could just get rid of all of them and my life would be better" referring to our students. He no longer (at least I never saw him again) patrolled our events. Oh FoF OTSRs were horrid. The Banshee vests are comfy though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
That night vision camera was awesome to see the magic behind the ride. I didn't guess that's what they did but I should have. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

And just because you work at the park doesn't make you a model citizen. At the Walmart I worked at a few people got caught stealing and damaging things. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Not to mention it picks up the situation after it started. Maybe the cop walked over and harassed the young man from the beginning. Maybe when the cop walked over to tell him to not walk in the Parking lot but to get on the side walk the kid reacted very negatively. All we know from the video is their is a KI security guard and a cop talking to a young man about something before the cop puts the kid on the ground. So KI suspended the kid but then rescinded the suspension after being shown the video. It will be interesting to see what happens next. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Thank you! I've written probably a hundred features for that site, but the new line of in-depth recollections of forgotten attractions is one of my favorite. And of the four or five of those I've written so far, I think I'm proudest of Alien Encounter. What an attraction it was! Yeah thanks to you I didn't get to bed till 2 am last night. Haha I do like the idea of Endor over Pandora... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Without coming down on one side or the other, if officers were to wear body cameras you could see what was happening from their side. No one deserves to lose their life or to be treated poorly, but at the same time these officers have to make decisions in real time and assess danger. Officer Sonny Kim didn't react with an appropriate level of response and was killed. The cop in Fergusen almost had his gun taken away (based on evidence at the scene). If I make a mistake at my job, a kid may or may not make a /k/ sound correctly. If a ride op makes a mistake, the train doesn't dispatch. Maybe this cop over reacted to the threat. Maybe the kid was super respectful and was just up talking on the phone. Maybe the kid threatened the cop verbally and when he put his arms up, the cop reacted physically. I talked to a cop buddy a few months back and he said in training you are taught to end the threat. There is no good way to test officers about how they react with a white perp vs a black perp. Videos online have tried but they can't replicate the same problems in the same situation with the same responding officers. The best we can do when approached by an officer is to comply 100%. At my old school, the students would tel us that at home they were told to always fight back against the police. To never listen. They were instructed to run from a cop no matter what and to be physical if a cop got into their space. The parents would actively tell kids to fight police because of the threat the police were to the kids. We the staff would of course tell them the opposite but we were mostly white teachers speaking to kids that did not share our backgrounds. In every instance, 3 sides. His side, my side, and the truth. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
What a great read. Seriously. Thanks for the link. I really enjoyed the read. I also didnt know all of the history of the ride or about the whys it may have been removed for. Wow seriously though, that ride did not belong in that park. I still remember the sounds of the running behind my head, the breathing on my neck.... I must have been 13 years old, and my wife was around the same age. We both read your vivid retelling of the ride. And man, I still remember the absolute fear.

I never did the legacy passes so my last trip to Disney was filled with long waits.... This most recent trip was the FP trip. It was nice to say the least. As for Disney tracking, I'm sure it will lead to improved guest experiences and more opportunities to shop. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

As for the dinner reservations, everyone makes reservations at good restaurants. Heck if you go to Universal, better make sure you get your Mythos reservation in early enough or you won't get in. As for booking rides, no one is forcing you to. In the middle of the week in June the wait for any popular ride was just a hair inside 90 minutes. You can wait for that ride at any time you want. No one was cutting off ride times. Real world example: we would check our app to see what a ride time was. If it was long we would have booked a FP+ for it, at one point a night ride on Hollywood Tower was 90 mins so my mom and I scheduled our fast pass roughly two hours from the current time. This allowed us to have a set time to come back and we went and explored a few shops, ate, and got photos. Or we could have gotten in line and waited 90 mins... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I agree with how it was put in. It comes off as lazy and copy and paste. But I think it's important to the narrative ... But you could very well include this in the "can't make this up" thread because it's just bizarre Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Or it's a possible pattern? No different than saying an accident on 75s and this stretch of highway has seen x number of accidents over a period of time. I think the transition between the old info and new is subpar, but it is part of the park. Are the two related? No. But is it a trend of the area? Possible, but not probable? Tbh the reason the shooter style works at WDW is because it's part of a ride portfolio. At Magic Kingdom, the traditional dark rides include: Haunted Mansion, Peter Pan, Pooh and then you have the shooting Buzz Lightyear. Balance... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
