  1. According to a couple different reports Zumanjaro and Kingda Ka cannot operate simultaneously. Apparently Ka has been sending out 3-4 trains and then waits for Zumanjaro to complete a cycle before the pattern repeats.

Spitballing here but it is possible that they may be trying to limit the number of cycles per day until a more extensive rehab/repair can take place when daily operations end?
  3. There are pictures of the footers on TPR and they are very B&Mish. If this is indeed a Beemer I for one will be very interested in seeing the type and layout. There is apparently some orange track outside Cleremont that is unaccounted for.
  4. I need to. It is at the top of my "can't wait to ride" list.
  5. I don't think too many people would argue that Mean Streak isn't visually impressive. It certainly is. I personally get far more intimidated (in a good way) by the massive wooden structures of rides like SOB and Mean Streak than I do by the taller but less substantial structures of rides like Dragster and Diamondback. If only they ran as good as they look/looked.
  6. I thought it was stated when the agreement was announced that it would still be part of the fair offerings?
  7. "Wonder Mole Hill Guardian" coming to Cedar Point in 2015! I like it!
  8. Apparently I'm getting old because I've definitely transitioned from "Wow that sounds like fun!" to "Stay away at all costs, way too many people." That being said I hope everyone going this weekend has a great time!
  9. I find it interesting that they are saying retiring and not removing. Has it been confirmed that it is being removed and not converted/renovated by RMC?
  10. Always good to hear about people having a great time at Holiday World!
  11. Because its a terrible ride with terrible capacity. It is by far my least favorite coaster at Kings Island. I really don't think Vortex is that bad, though I do strictly stick to riding in 5-1.
  12. ^ Tallest and fastest in the world huh? Interesting. This is sad on so many levels. This isn't breaking news that couldn't be fact checked. This is filler! Even if you take the drop as the height it isn't even the tallest in the US, let alone the world.
  13. Holiday World: Must rides are Voyage, Legend, Raven, and Liberty Launch on the dry side and Mammoth, Wildebeest, Zinga, Bukali, and Zoombabwe in the water park. A lot of the other rides are really fun but none stand out to me as great examples of there kind. Food wise it is hard to go wrong at HW but the Plymouth Rock Cafe tends to get the best reviews. Prices all around are very reasonable for what you get. Beech Bend: Much more 'ghetto' (for lack of a better term) than Holiday World. Kentucky Rumbler and Zero-G are really the only must rides. I haven't ever spent any time in the water park. Food is nothing special and mainly the typical theme park offerings. I do believe that they allow you to carry in your food though.
  14. ^And a great zoo it is! I have fond memories of seeing a cheetah for the first time at the National Zoo. I'm actually surprised that parks like the respective Disney properties, Universal, and Sea World haven't gone to this sort of pricing model yet, especially for single day tickets.
  15. Watching these cams (way way way more than I should) I have noticed how reliable Mantis seems to be. It seems to be the only coaster that is always continuously in operation. It also seems to be the last to go down for weather and the first to start back up.
  16. I figured that with the way pricing models seem to be heading in the industry, this could be an interesting read. Link: http://www.wthr.com/story/25727937/2014/06/09/indianapolis-zoo-changes-ticket-pricing-method
  17. Has there been a dollar figure announced for the T2 refurbishment?
  18. Thanks for sharing, glad you guys had a good time! While I find Gatekeeper to be a tad on the boring side, I will admit that it is very visually pleasing. Did you get over to Pipe Scream and the new flyers?
  19. You can show your paper pass voucher at the parking booths and park for free.
  20. I had this happen to me last week on Gatekeeper. I haven't experienced it on Banshee yet.
  21. ^Ouch! Nice pictures, thanks for sharing! I need to get back up there this year.
  22. I am very interested in hearing how your trip was! I hope you have fun, Cornball Express is an awesome ride!
  23. Literally everything is a walk on today. Waited 2 trains for the front on Maverick but walked on to Raptor, Gatekeeper, Millie, and Iron Dragon this evening.
