  1. Guilty, particularly in KIC groups, very guilty. One technique to solve that problem is to pick any ride and get half the group to start walking in that direction.
  2. Those wondering about the price should also consider that they didn't pay a $5.99 processing fee, which likely would have been charged for direct orders.
  3. This forum allows users to pick a font. It's just that Comic Sans is a remarkably bad font (for most purposes) that's difficult for many to read, especially on mobile. See http://www.comicsanscriminal.com
  4. $26 was the fee listed on the registration page at Coaster Crew's website, which registrants were instructed to pay after signing up. This was to include the meal ticket and the event badge, but not park admission (which was an add-on option for those without a season pass). Tim should have the list of those whose purchases included each type of ticket.
  5. The picnic grove lunch was included in the event fee that was to be paid upon registration.
  6. Regarding the "missing" webcams on visitkingsisland.com, these have been down in the past for maintenance or technical reasons. I don't see anything to suggest that they have been removed.

^ Most rides operate every day, though there can be occasional downtime. If something is closed that isn't listed on the sign out front, make sure to check back later. Flight of Fear (launched indoor coaster), Viking Fury (swinging ship), and Shake, Rattle & Roll (Troika) have been closed for several days. Some or all of those could still be closed Monday.
  8. Any sort of confrontation can turn out badly, even when well-intentioned. Security has the training and resources to do this safely and respectfully. Guests don't.
  9. When I was young, I got motion sick very easily. The Beastie was sufficient to make me feel queasy. Had I ridden Vortex as a kid, the result would not have been pleasant. Luckily, I outgrew that by sometime around high school.

    2 park passes

I assume you bought the Kings Island/Cedar Point combo ticket? This is supposed to be one ticket with a single barcode. You hang onto it and use it twice - once at Kings Island and once at Cedar Point.
  11. Your mobile phone was able to "correct" Adventure Express's audio, so why not make it play "Right Now" at the appropriate time?
  12. Of course not. I have recognized people from photos at Kings Island, on many occasions. I generally don't introduce myself unless I'm reasonably certain that the individual would like me to. (Or if it's at an enthusiast event.) If you do see me again, feel free to say "Hi".
  13. Carowinds was closed. I have driven past CGA when it was open (weekends), but my flight left too early for me to stop by. You don't know me very well if you think that fear (of inspected, permanently installed amusement rides) or cold temperatures could stop me. Big feet? Have you seen me at Kings Island without introducing yourself?
  14. ^ Which isn't an option either. I have driven past Carowinds and California's Great America, but I have only visited the Ohio parks.
  15. I wonder if this work will put a damper on BB1's goal of riding that slide 200 times this season. Hopefully they'll have it back open by the holiday weekend; they'll likely need all the waterpark capacity they can get.

Then there are days like yesterday at KI. Forecast that morning? 60% chance of precipitation, mainly between 2pm and 7pm. Observed? Isolated thunderstorms all afternoon, then nonstop thunderstorms from 8pm until 10pm, with about 2 inches of rain. At least the park was dead all day. Some associates thought it was curious that I was walking the completely deserted midways in the 9pm hour.

    Lockers

The standard all-day lockers are $13, and they are big enough for a small bag. They are available at the front gate and at Soak City. Larger lockers are available for a higher fee. Hourly lockers start at $1/hour with a 2-hour minimum. They are located at Banshee, Flight of Fear, and Rivertown. Single use lockers are $2 and are located near The Racer. You can use them as long as you like, but they can only be opened once. Perhaps you could use one thread for all your 6/30 trip questions, rather than making a new thread each time.
  18. Spieling at The Beast yesterday: "I say Diamond, you say Beast"
  19. It was closed as of 3:30pm today.
  20. Yes. I just ride 3 consecutive cycles before the current storm cell moved in.

    Kroger vs KI

Pricing and availability at Kroger varies by region. Stores in Louisville and Indianapolis have cheaper tickets than those in Cincinnati or Columbus. Call your store to check.
  22. This is one thread that deserves a picture.
  23. ^ Thursday is likely to be very crowded at Kings Island with the Spirit Song festival, in case that would affect your plans. Also, the Monday of the first full week of July is the KIC/Coaster Crew event, with a registration deadline of today, in case you missed the other thread. The Groupon offer for The Beach is still available, by the way: http://www.groupon.com/deals/the-beach-8 (I believe they offer an extra $5 off for new Groupon customers as well.)
  24. ^^ Ouch. The Coaster Crew event would be a good time to go in July. Today is the last day to buy a ticket. If you're looking for light crowds, you might want to pick a day with rain in the forecast. Extremely hot days (100°F+ air temperatures) have been very lightly crowded, but be careful and drink lots of water in that case.
