Great. Hopefully it's a completely different routine than this year's show. Not that I have anything against this year's version, but it's a Bad Idea™ to show the same magic trick to the same person more than once. I know that when I watched the show for the second time, I figured out how some of the tricks were done.

Yes. In every school I went to, the main entrance, which was unlocked all day, went directly into a hallway. The main office was situated right next to the entrance, but you could simply walk down the hall if you wanted to. My high school had a small security booth positioned outside the main office in easy view of the entrance, but there was only one person in charge of operating that booth, and if he was busy with something else inside the office or in the bathroom, then nobody was in the booth for a few minutes. OTOH, my high school also had a city police officer on premises at all times when school was in session.

Run away and let security/police deal with it? (It is a large park, after all...)

Cedar Point will do it in just a few short months. All while building a new coaster with it. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe CP's main entrance is essentially a glorified roof with turnstiles underneath it, maybe a few windows for guest services and similar stuff. KI's entrance is a full-fledged two-story building with shops, offices, a restaurant, and other stuff. There would be much more involved in tearing down KI's entrance than CP's main entrance.

They have nothing to gain by advertising their coasters to someone who's already at the park on their way in since the coasters are included with admission. They do have something to gain by upselling you to an experience that is not included with admission.

According to Twitter, that will come "eventually", just not as part of the main 2013 announcement. So I would think that they'll likely have Timberliners next year.

Found something in the press release that wasn't in anything else that I saw: they're changing to a "new style of lockers". I wonder if they're going the same route KI did this year?

Sorry for double posting, but I just noticed something else thanks to someone on the HW Facebook page. AmaZoom and Bamboo Chute (the two slides near the entrance to the waterpark), as well as Congo River, no longer appear on the website. Are they being removed to make way for the new entrance plaza?

I love it. Everything. I may have to consider more trips to HW next year other than just HoliWood Nights if I can afford it. Going just once a year really isn't often enough for as good of a park as HW. From the blog post:

Great pictures! I thought about going to this but opted not to after the expense of my Florida trip. Definitely looking forward to Gatekeeper next year!

The registers for food and merchandise show that prompt at the beginning of the transaction. And yet I am never, and I mean never, asked about it until the total is given, if I am asked about it at all.
