On the subject of parking, I can confirm that it is now $15 regular or $22 preferred.

So it does! I missed that.

Not track, but wood. SOB had 1.65 million "board feet" of wood, meaning that if you took every piece of wood that made up SOB and laid them end to end, they would measure 1.65 million feet, which translates to 312.5 miles.

I planned on opening the theme park portion of my vacation this year with Wet 'n Wild on August 27. Tropical Storm Isaac had other plans. It was pouring down rain that morning, but there was little to no wind, so I called the park to find out if they were going to open and was told yes. Figuring that I was going to get drenched anyway, I was the first one there about 5 minutes before the gates opened at 10:00. I changed, got my stuff in a locker, and hit a few slides with literally no wait, and so I figured it would be a good day. Just before 11:00 got in the wave pool for a round of waves, except when the signal that the waves were going to start was given, I waited and waited and they never came on. About one minute later, they announced over the PA system that the park was closed. I went up to the gate to ask about it and was told that they had too few people in the park. They have to get 50 guests in the first hour or they close for the day. So I left. Less than two hours later, the rain stopped for the day and the sun came out for a gorgeous day, perfect for fun in the sun. If they had been able to wait it out, I'm sure they would have gotten plenty of people once the rain stopped, but Isaac screwed it up.

I know the Starbucks at KI accepts Starbucks gift cards for payment but does not participate in the rewards program connected to those cards. The case might be similar at the Subway locations.

I like the upcharge. Keeps the riff-raff out and ensures that it's relatively peaceful back there and not overcrowded.

I believe the parking lot is still park property.

While on my way into Bob Evans here in Xenia earlier, I found one of those pink "View Your Photos!" slips from the front gate photographers at KI lying in the parking lot. This is about 35 miles away from the park. What pieces of trash or litter obviously from Kings Island have you found off of park property, and how far away was it?

Of the parks I've been to: 1. Cedar Point 2. Kings Island

Halloween Haunt - What to hit and what to skip
jcgoble3 replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island
No, there is no ERT on Haunt Fridays. -
Cedar Point, definitely. You have more there that you haven't ridden and it's closer. And since you said that KI would have to be a Saturday, that's going to be one of the busiest days of the year. Cedar Point is close enough that you could do it on Sunday when the crowds are lighter without affecting school on Monday. And I dare you to ride Top Thrill Dragster. You can do it!

Move One Ride from Anywhere in the Country to KI
jcgoble3 replied to MarketingExpress's topic in Coming Attractions
Ha ha. (Although I think Firehawk is just out of frame to the right; the lower FOF appears to be the one photoshopped in.) -
More accurately, I tend to poke around and learn all the available options whenever I join a new site, and I retain information like that very well. Some other information, though, isn't retained well at all (what order did I do rides at Universal a month ago today? I need to write that PTR.).

I wouldn't offer any spoilers on opening night regarding Cavern of Terror. If anyone searches last years topics, the Boo Blasters spoiler has been discussed. Also, I think you've confused me with someone who actually knows where the "spoiler" function/button is. I'm usually the one to bring out the spoiler function. For reference it is thus:
Darth Vader is Luke's father.
Which produces:

Everything at Cedar Point for me. Haven't been there since June 2011. Every other park that I've ever been to has been visited since then. Tornado and Teddy Bear at Stricker's would be next on that list (October 2011), but I'll be there two weeks from today. A return to Cedar Point will have to wait until sometime next year.

Thanks to two years of Coasting for Kids, The Racer by far. If you want me to consider Red and Blue separately, then I'm not sure, but I think Red beats Blue by a very slim margin. Even separately, they both beat any other coaster by far.

Favorite (and Least Favorite) Halloween Candy
jcgoble3 replied to LongLiveTheSmurfRide's topic in KI Polls
I don't have kids, so there's no bag for me to sneak candy out of. However, I always purposely buy more Tootsie Rolls than I need to pass out because I love those things, especially the flavored ones. -
Thanks, but I'd rather try to find a site somewhere that will automatically generate one and that I can easily update myself when I ride something new. If it comes down to having to photoshop an image, I'll just switch to plain text so I don't have to bug someone every time it needs to be updated.

To clarify: There are two types of drink wristbands. The first is the 20oz wristband, which entitles you to soft drinks in 20oz cups only. These wristbands cannot be used to fill souvenir cups. These are only available through FUN Perks or group sales and are not sold to the general public. The other is the souvenir cup wristband, which entitles you to souvenir cup refills only. These wristbands cannot be used to receive drinks in disposable cups and require the purchase of a souvenir cup for $11.99 (which includes the first fill-up) if you do not already have one. Unlike the 20oz wristbands, the souvenir cup wristbands are sold to the public for $7.00. Does that answer your question?

I noticed my coasterfanatics signature item was not loading, appears that site is officially dead. http://www.networkso...terfanatics.com Their domain registration expired at 1:07 this morning. I wouldn't call it "dead" yet though, as the same thing happened one year ago and it was renewed after a day or two. I have not been able to log into Coasterfanatics under my original account for a long time because my password some how got messed up and when I request the reset I don't get the email...I did create a new account just so I could update my coaster count for my signature but they have not added any new coasters on there in a couple years. Is there another site that has a similar coaster count for forum signatures? Ditto. Does anybody know of such a site? I really want to move away from coasterfanatics because the list is so out of date, but I can't find another site with coaster count signature images.

^ I don't toast the tuna and have never tried the Seafood Sensation. I toast everything else mainly because I prefer my sandwiches hot.

They don't seem to have a problem with the webcams they have already... Then explain to me why the Soak City cam is pointed in a direction that effectively renders it useless.
