  1. Most food locations, excluding those on International Street, open one hour after the park opens and close one hour before the park closes. This has been the case for several years. I-Street locations usually open earlier and close later; LaRosa's on I-Street is often open well past the official park closing time. A negative check? That's odd. I wish I had been there to see that!
  2. See this thread: http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php/topic/31490-hulk-trains-in-trash/ (particularly the most recent posts)
  3. ALLEGED Intamin credits. We have no proof, other than one user's unsubstantiated claim, that such credits even exist.
  4. ...known in HoliWood Nights terminology as the dreaded Procrastination Tax.
  5. My guess: they took the regular sign down last night and replaced it with an easily removable one for today only, so that when ERT starts, they can quickly remove it. This would be necessary if they want to use the "standard" Haunt queue for Blackout, as that queue comes backward up The Bat's summer entrance, with The Bat's queue being rerouted down the exit to the first crossover. If this is true, the regular sign would probably be back tomorrow.
  6. Indeed. This whole discussion is a load of bantha poodoo.
  7. Great report! You kids and your Snapchat, making me feel old. With regard to Adventure Express: "Please keep hands and arms inside the ride at all times. Thank you."
  8. You literally just opened an image editing program and filled the canvas with black, didn't you? I was told to keep my left hand on the wall, and I did. Not my fault that the left-side wall is shaped weirdly and causes you to get trapped in a corner!
  9. I still have five Inspector Gadget videotapes that I watched as a kid. How's that for showing my age? Of course, now I want to watch them, but I don't have a functioning VCR anymore.
  10. I just had a similar problem in the This or That thread. I attempted to post this post using my laptop. Each time I clicked "Post", the post buttons disappeared for a moment (as normal), then quickly reappeared. The post was never actually submitted. Clicking "More Reply Options" did one of two things, each equally baffling: it either just kicked me back to the forum's home page, or gave me a new page to type a post in, from which submitting the post would do nothing but again kick me back to the home page. I was, however, able to post just fine through Tapatalk. EDIT: This post, however, went through just fine from my laptop. Windows 10, Firefox 46.0.1, IP.Board skin.
  11. If all you need are screenshots, you can use your browser's developer console to vandalize your locally cached version of ANY web page even if it isn't normally editable, so there's that too. That was actually my first thought, and would be my approach to doing something like that. I didn't even think of using Wikipedia's preview function until he (indirectly) mentioned it.
  12. And not everyone has a season pass or the cash on hand for a daily admission ticket...
  13. I really hope you did not just vandalize Wikipedia to get that.
  14. Lazy copying and pasting. Cedar Point has a TGIFriday's inside Hotel Breakers.
  15. Last I checked, use of electronic devices was NOT permitted on Boo Blasters, at least at Kings Island, despite the number of photos I've seen of the score displays inside the cars, including one that was (still is?) an avatar for one user on KIC (don't remember his/her name).
  16. ^ Ouch. Sounds like she could be permanently blinded by this incident. I dearly hope that doesn't turn out to be the case.
  17. No, it has not be confirmed. The contract likely was for 5 seasons, not 5 years from the date it was signed. ...and I highly doubt that the contract was signed on the day it opened. More likely, it was signed several months earlier, before the park even began teasing it.
  18. Here are search results filtered for coasters within the U.S.: Intamin: http://rcdb.com/r.htm?na=&nm=na&pl=59&co=6837&order=-8&ot=2 B&M: http://rcdb.com/r.htm?na=&nm=na&pl=59&co=6831&order=-8&ot=2
  19. ...as well as that one of their executives went on record discussing "acceptable levels of risk" or something like that. ("Acceptable level of risk", in my book, is ZERO.) EDIT: Also, wasn't the last Intamin coaster installation in the U.S. back in something like 2012? That should be quite telling in and of itself.
  20. I like how they used pieces of the old track for the new entrance.
  21. Don't feel dumb. Most, if not all, of us have had to have that explained to us at some point.
  22. Decided to give this its own thread rather than burying it in the Cedar Point 2016 thread. https://www.cedarpoint.com/plan-a-visit/sunrise-thrills-vip-tour You can go up Valravn's lift elevator to take pictures from the top of the lift hill, tour other behind-the-scenes areas of the ride, learn about maintenance and watch opening procedures before getting the first ride of the day. Then it's off to Top Thrill Dragster for more backstage tours and another opportunity to watch opening procedures, and then Millennium Force for another backstage tour. Finally, you end at Maverick with yet more backstage access and an opportunity to skip the line and ride without waiting. Preferred parking, light breakfast, all-day FunPix, and two single-use Fast Lane vouchers are included as well. The catch? This is only available on certain days (about three to four days per week), starting around Memorial Day, costs $200 per person for passholders ($250 if you need admission as well), and there is a minimum of two tickets per purchase (and a maximum of 16 total participants per day). Who here is going to do this?
