  1. Exactly! Their legal team will imply that was the rest of 2024 WF; conversely, since it is for a 2025 pass, the purchaser is assuming it is for 2025 WF. Caveat Emptor
  2. So if it is true, is showing 2025 unlimited visits to WF false advertising or a bait and switch or simply caveat emptor?
  3. But that in and of itself is a strategy and I mentioned the exact same thought previously. So either this is their strategy that they thought out and people are trying to understand why they are going in that direction or folks are giving them too much credit that there is a strategy behind it and they are simply winging it and doing as they please with no strategy, thought behind it, or concern for long-term consequences. I guess if they get rid of The Beast, then we know they have no strategy and are simply looking at the O&M spreadsheet and cutting the highest costs rides
  4. With enough money anything is possible. The park completely takes apart the trains and rebuilds them. Running until 12/31 and opening mid-April means a shortened time to perform this maintenance. Or do they wait until Memorial Day to open? Adding more maintenance staff could turn it around quicker. The park/chain has to decide if that additional expense justifies keeping those rides open during Winterfest. The 50 foot platform doesn't have wheelchair access (elevator doesn't stop there), so between that and all the wiring, it won't be re-opening anytime soon. Again, with enough money they could cut out elevator access, reprogram the elevators, re-route the wiring, but it is worth the expense?
  5. They have always charged parking unless you have a pass. Temperature and other things like maintenance dictate what is running. Eiffel Tower is turned into a tree and lots of stuff up there 50 foot platform hasn't been open in many years. Between accessibility and lighting wiring, it won't be open anytime soon.
  6. How did KI do for Haunt 2019 in polls and attendance after Vortex closure was announced....(for those that don't know, it did very well) Sometimes companies don't want to learn from the past...
  7. Do you think the mindset is they have your money and let you go next year with it gone and thus the sting is gone by August and then renew for 2026 or is that giving them too much credit LOL
  8. Looks like most of the inside going to Chattanooga. Will be interesting to see how well it is able to be taken apart and put back together! https://www.wlwt.com/article/exhibits-entertrainment-junction-train-museum-chattanooga/63286225?fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTEAAR1lUYtHHfjXOaFlHAWokVo0wPaCICHc82IR3WEhUqjZuXww17t2JU0cKXY_aem_rpCXV8ZJXfQY-AM0awj67A
  9. At the end of the day, I am sure Kathy, the associate that responded to Logan, gave her honest answer as that decision was above her pay grade, so any news outlet that tried to get answers would simply get the run around.
  10. If only someone would do an investigative piece to get to the bottom if Kathy lied or if Kathy was not made privy to the information...
  11. One could argue that this implies 2025 and not 2024, but vague enough (like a lot of their messaging) that FUN legal will say this was for rest of 2024:
  12. And what better way to accelerate that schedule than to start removing stuff... (looking at you Coney Island eliminating rides...)
  13. Given the amount of daily work going into Steel Vengeance I would say Fury has a much longer life left than Steel Vengeance. Especially if the bean-counters have their way... That is the "advantage" of a wooden over a steel coaster is that with proper care, the wooden coaster can last a lot longer and The Beast should be around longer than any of our current steel coasters. Theoretically forever LOL, but at some point the O&M costs may start to get too high and corporate makes the decision to remove...or RMC it LOL It is sad though when bean counters start making cost-cutting measures just for the sake of cost-cutting without considering the impacts on a long-term basis.
  14. The point being made is when bean counters look at strictly cost and disassociate all other factors (that happens all too often in businesses in cost cutting modes), then decisions that are unpopular to the public happen. But you do realize as a steel coaster that Fury will be removed at some point...same with KI steel coasters...
  15. I am not saying it is the case and let's hope SIX never gets to this point, but the problem that is often the case is that you get a bean counter that simply looks at the dollars and cents and takes all emotion out of the decision. They say eliminate the ride with the highest O&M cost without taking other factors into consideration and that is how a popular ride that draws people gets eliminated.
  16. And yet people say KK having a Winterfest event competes with the greater Cincinnati local passholders of KI's Winterfest.....
  17. Slingshot was literally in the middle of getting repainted and then was stopped and torn out...
  18. Keep in mind we have seen this before at our own park... Did the guests that loved Slingshot get to say goodbye? Did the guests that loved Pipeline Paradise get to say goodbye? Granted one was a paid attraction and not everyone did Pipeline, but a ride has the distinction of being a favorite ride for somebody. Maybe KI once again was a test park for this new kinda rollout
