  1. Don't forget all the disappointment that the Antique Cars was not SOB2 LOL.
  2. You hit the enthusiast overboard stage during the Orion announcement season
  3. Clearly you spoke with your wallet. Good for you. Yet you stick around here instead of completely cutting ties... Have you not picked up a new hobby or something for entertainment you can move on to? Are you upset that nobody followed your lead and/or are you jaded you are missing out on the fun at the park? For others, at the end of the day, it comes down to the complaints are really constructive criticism to try to ensure the park reaches it potential. Sadly you don't see it as that. You chose to speak with your wallet while others choose to be honest on guest surveys and feedback to guest services in hopes it improves and they receive what they were advertised to receive. Then they go to social media to voice it as well. It is the new norm... Some are loyal to a fault or haven't reached the "speak with your wallet" stage yet. Just like many people purchase a certain brand vehicle that can't make it past X-thousand miles yet they remain loyal to the brand and buy a new one that poops out by X-thousand miles. And like I said, warts and all, the entertainment value per dollar spent spread out over a season cannot be beat and that is a great motivator for many people to keep coming back. Where else can you get fed two meals per day all summer for the price of the season long meal plan? Heck a Disney daily plan is almost as expensive as an all-season at KI. About the only thing cheaper for entertainment is to be a keyboard troll on others that still see value out of the pass even with the shortcomings... Unlike FB, the members here know this site isn't owned by the park, so most here have expressed their concerns at guest services, but also comment here. They "screw" over enough people that speak with their wallet and then bye-bye park. And that my friend is why we provide constructive criticism.... Look. at the end of the day, we all recognize they are a business, and not only the park, but many purchases in life have the ability to change the terms of service or conditions at any time. It is a way of life. We either accept that as a possibility or we go without lots of things like mobile phones, cable tv, or basically anything that is a contract... If nobody accepted that as a possibility, they wouldn't sell so many passes. But at the same time, the volume of passes sold should also mean that they try to uphold their end of the deal.
  4. Um, we already have them... https://cedarfairgiftcards.com/
  5. FoF is two train operation today - on a very very light crowd day...lending towards the belief that one train ops on a busy Saturday was due to an issue with a train...
  6. Yeah but people get their 15 minutes of fame and likes on social media that they don't get if they inform the park directly lol. And look how many think that FB site is affiliated with KI lol
  7. True, but at some parks in the chain, the ERT rides promised were rarely/never opened during ERT and a certain park up north would simply switch out ERT rides after purchases were made. Granted they are within their "subject to change" rights to make these changes, but it still leaves a bad taste - especially if it was simply they didn't want to staff it. Same with the budget cuts reducing rides. There are plenty of passholders that their use of the pass is go up the first two hours of park open or come for the last two hours of park open. Just like there are plenty of passholders that NEVER take advantage of ERT and could care less what is happening with that benefit. When they purchased said pass, it was implied that all rides would be open (subject to mechanical or weather issues), and cutting them strictly due to budget concerns after they have your money leaves a sour taste. Depending on the makeup of a family and their ride preferences, opening select rides later or closing earlier could be more than a minor inconvenience for the said family - maybe those are the only rides the kids in the family ride and now they are either not open or only open half the time they are there.
  8. There you admitted you have been out of the game and have no skin in this fight, so move out of the way to those that are currently suffering LOL. You have spoken with your wallet and haven't had a pass in who knows how long...you don't think things have got worse? Since you are not an active passholder going thru these issues, your opinion doesn't carry the same weight as those that are. The fact that they don't offer refunds is evident in now you can buy "refund insurance" on your ticket and add-ons....why would they go thru that effort of negotiating a package with a 3rd party if their policy was to willy-nilly pass out refunds. I find it hard to believe that you have been issued refunds from KI. I was with my friend's family on two of the times they calmly stated their case and ....well what does it matter you wouldn't believe me anyway...but let's just say it was a very convincing argument backed with receipts and doctors notes and tests. @jdf21972- how often does the park offer refunds? I know based on social media posts, it doesn't happen often. We see way more post of people saying they were told No Refunds. Unfortunately, warts and all, the season pass is still an incredible value and hard to beat on cost/hr of entertainment value. As an example, people spend 4 times the amount of a gold pass per month for the privilege to belong to country club. Heck some swim clubs monthly dues are the price of a gold pass. But just because it is an incredible value doesn't mean that folks should accept being sold one thing and being provided another. The park is selling a product with advertised benefits and when said benefits are taken away, the criticism is valid.
  9. Like buying a new car and only getting 3 tires LOL
  10. My friends did go to Guest Services and did plea their cases and was told sorry No Refunds. They even asked to not be refunded the entire pass, just refund the difference between Prestige and Platinum and revert them back to Platinum and were told NO. They tried it on several occasions - within weeks after the bottled drinks were removed, once at the end of last season, and then again this season. All three attempts a hard NO REFUNDS was the answer. And these are real situations and very good friends of mine that this whole thing has left such a bad taste in their mouth, that they are taking their discretionary income elsewhere next year.. Between the two families, that is over $10K in passes and add-ons not being renewed... But sure assume I made it up.... There were people that were impacted by the 8pm closes based on being college students going back home for the summer and planned to get a lot of use out of it before they went back home, along with people complaining about the chaperone policy and they now couldn't drop their misfits off after 4pm without a parent - and from best I can tell in all cases they were told sorry no refunds. Nobody I know that complained got a refund. Maybe someone somewhere did, but they are very stingy with that. Usually only a death IF the person didn't use the pass... Um no if you have season long FL you are guaranteed a wristband regardless of how busy or what time you show up.... Um yeah I had to buy a new TV when all of a sudden I needed an ugly converter box that had no place to go with a mounted TV without looking stupid. I guess I didn't have to buy a new TV and could have left it looking like crap LOL. There was a period of time in this transition period of analog to digital where a lot of people got screwed over if they bought a TV during that period. Even today with brand new TVs you cannot take cable coax and connect to the TV directly - you need a stupid cable box that wasn't needed previously. I am just pointing out the fallacy of your argument regarding the TV analogy brought up. What you can dish it out but can't take it Like I said, you apparently are someone that just rolls with the changes and do not care that you are not getting what you paid for. Good for you. You are the pass holder CF likes because they can eliminate everything and you will continue to open your wallet without complaining....
  11. OK - let's go with the season pass since that is what you are harping on. Dates have changed after the calendar has been posted and passes were bought. Hours have changed since the calendar was posted and passes were bought. You know the early closes due to "weather". Last year they made changes from 10pm closes to 8pm in May. I know people with handicap plates that bought Prestige just so they could show up later since the handicap lot fills quickly and the preferred is basically at the same general location (just other side of walkway). I know people with allergies to the dyes in drinks so they cannot even get water from the Coke machine since they share a drink with the water dispenser. They would buy bottled water and essentially decided to go with Prestige as essentially their bottled water drink plan. In both of these instances - these were not pass add-ons but were integral to the actual Prestige pass itself that were removed after purchase. Ok, so you didn't like his TV metaphor and you brought up a smart TV function as "add-ons" that if you found critical to finding value in the purchase, you would have been a fool to have agreed to the purchase - well to many people the add-ons are critical to finding value in the season pass purchase. Plus they paid for the add-ons. If you bought season long FL and then they said your ability to obtain the wristband was subject to availability after your purchased it, you would just roll with it and be like all good since I attend so much? So I guess you were ok when you needed to either get a new TV or get a converter box when the OTA signals went digital? Or needed to add a Spectrum box when they changed their signal and you couldn't use the digital tuner in the TV? Obviously this hasn't impacted you or you just operate at a different level than the average consumer, but these are real issues that are blasted about all over social media. Or maybe you just roll with the changes and keyboard warrior those that actually expect to get what they paid for Let's look at another electronic - many people have purchased Arlo security cameras as they are quick and easy to put up. They recently changed their terms and conditions - many purchased it with the expectation that these functions were part of the system "But on January 1st, 2024, the company’s killing that feature for many Arlo cams — and reserving the right to eliminate all cloud functionality, including email alerts, push notifications, and other “bundled services or features,” for any camera that hasn’t been manufactured for four years." Or what about Ring that did something similar. Many people purchased their alarm system because it provided the ability to arm and disarm the alarm from the app. They just changed their ToS as well: "Starting March 29, 2023, a Ring Protect subscription is required to access Ring Alarm in-app features in the US and Canada, including digital notifications and the ability to Arm and Disarm from your app." So now something someone got free as part of their initial purchase now has a $200 annual fee if they want to continue using it in the same manner at which they were promised it would work at initial purchase and did work that way until March. Or what about car manufactures going to a subscription model for things like the ability to use the already installed heated seats in your car? Are you ok paying $18/month for the right to use the heated seats in your car? I guess in all of these examples, you are ok with just opening up your wallet and giving them more money for items you already purchased
  12. I always assumed that the free FL at renewal was a loss leader to try to convince the buyer that "hey FL is kinda convenient" and would lead to either a season-long FL add-on or a purchase of a FL one or more times the following year. Given the "investment" into the kiosks that allow anyone in the park the ability to purchase a single use FL, I suspect that is the same intent here is to drive sales on those kiosks, as well as maybe convert a few to Prestige passes.
  13. On the parks that currently are selling 2024 passes, they are showing Fast Lane as an add-on
  14. After Prestige holders PURCHASED the pass, they quietly removed bottled drinks and made preferred parking subject to availability (it was a guarantee when the passes first came out) to name two off the top of my head. They also said perks could be used elsewhere until Tony's blog said different. They also cut back the hours of the Lounge. Prestige were offered enhanced fun perks - has anyone seen those? Gold/Plat gets fun perks - anything of any value there? In years past they changed the timing between meal plans (although they reverted back prior to start of season). They have changed meal options mid-season for the meal plan. One day at Chicken Shack you no longer got bread with a salad. One day you no longer got a coney with a 3-way on the meal plan. They changed something with Panda Express as well. According to FB posts, implementation of the chaperone policy after passes were sold was a deal killer. Give me and others time and we can come up with others LOL. How many times someone visits is irrelevant - the fact of the matter is they have a history of changing terms and conditions after sales have been made. Although they do provide the legalize that allows them to do so, that doesn't make it right either. As someone here used to say "They already got your money"
  15. Banshee is currently testing and all the towers have been down most of the day due to wind at 300 feet.
  16. It seems to be touchy. I know some that could only redeem one meal plan per order and others could load up a couple of passes - on the same day lol. The biggest issue is having to type in the pass number lol. The food order is in the app and you would think it could pull the pass from there instead of having to manually enter the pass number lol. There is still a lot of work that needs to be done before it gains acceptance and usage. If the line isn't long it is faster to go thru it than via mobile ordering lol
  17. Yes you put in what time you want to pick it up and then they send a text with the code (or it shows up on app) when it is ready for pickup and after 10-15min the order is canceled as they don't want the food sitting there too long. Believe me this method is more efficient and faster from a guest perspective than like Enriques. In that scenario you go thru the door labeled mobile order and then you "fight the line" of people coming thru the regular line to get your order (if they are running both sides). So if you aren't aggressive and cut in an opening you won't get your food. Coasters at CP was great - a door on the side and you go into a little room that is only mobile orders that you simply scan the code and a door opens like an Amazon pick up. Not having to fight the regular line is a huge bonus with these lockers.
  18. Only at Coasters lol. Or at least last time I was there lol.
  19. At CP they give you like 10-15 minutes and they cancel and remove food.
  20. Them Prestige pass holders will buy any add-on
  21. Do you have confirmation that one train ops is due to staffing cuts or is there an issue with a train that has forced their hand to only one train ops for AE and FoF? I would think given Adventure Port is new, that even though AE is an old ride with some enhancements this year, that they would want it running as efficiently as possible and would run it with two trains if they could? One thing KI has seemed to always do is run all trains even on slow days. Exception is they will pull off a train on Bat during rain. So I think it is train related. Otherwise why wouldn't they pull a Six Flags and remove a train off each coaster? Well except for Invertigo LOL.
  22. Is the peeling off look intentional or have unsupervised minors been pulling on it LOL
  23. Don't worry, new for 2024 will be the all new Solar Panel season long add-on that is exclusive to Prestige pass holders who will purchase to finance said infrastructure And then to ensure the bait and switch is complete, they will arrive to the park in 2024 to find that the solar panels cover the entire lot except for the Preferred Parking
  24. Looks like Six Flags must like the ROI to do it at another https://www.yahoo.com/news/six-flags-rolling-fantastic-tool-113000602.html
  25. Then the article mentions totally unrelated incidents with Cedar Fair and elsewhere https://www.yahoo.com/news/florida-roller-coaster-closed-boy-020100220.html
