To the couple time a year guests it is probably a nice limited run event - "hey lets go to KI before that event is gone" To the multiple visits guests and fans of the park, they will notice the cuts and may decide to skip the event, especially if the limited run increases attendance. Is the bump in attendance yesterday and today a result of Carnivale or the nice weekend weather that we haven't had the past several weekends?

Is that why Steel Vengeance usually opens late But that is a different scenario - CP posts that it will open at 11am. KI made this change for budget cuts mid-season and these reduced hours do not show up on the ride write-up on the website.

Unfortunately, it isn't rare now as this is part of their budget cuts for weekday operation....

I find it interesting that they are keeping a racing theme. I would have thought they would have tried to distance the ride from that. What if it ends up being a racing coaster and two trains race up the top hat (but obviously don't go over LOL).

Here is another example from FB of the inconsistent messaging from parks as it relates to passes and add-ons. It is this kind of frustation that lead to the trust issues people here and on social media are expressing regarding changing a pass program that has been around for many years: At Cedar Point today and I had read that our All Season drink passes would work at all Cedar Fair parks. There was no mention of being a platinum pass holder. Guest services says no, but both park websites say differently. Has anyone been able to use their Kings Island all season drink pass at Cedar Point?

Exactly. And the same chatter is going on in other park forums. Parking is ripe to make it an add on additional fee. Do three year olds need free parking lol. Or anyone under 16? Maybe they do not sell parking pass to those under 16? This would force parents to buy a pass for themselves and maybe actually spend time with their brats lol.
