  1. All the planes were coming down IN the Potomac? I hope everyone was ok. :-p
  2. I think there will be more, tombstones at the very least. And I would assume, if they're going to the trouble to make a cemetery scene, it will be more than just the headstones and grass. And yes, I realize assuming is just what it says.
  3. Sorry, funny beats drama for me. Oh!!, and welcome Katie :-)
  4. You haven't colored in the concrete base around the station? lol
  5. I'd rather watch Hot Shots, one or deaux :-p
  6. Now, that is constructive, well thought out, and feasible. Asking if someone has a problem, told ya so, etc... will almost always meet with resistance.
  7. So, any of the possibilities previously discussed, you have rejected? Or does it require absolute resolution from the ride designers? Don't get me wrong here, not trying to "yank your chain", just curious as to your thoughts of "why".
  8. A little, I mean does it really matter? I'm sure there is a reason. Some reasonable causes have been discussed. What's the point of obsessing about it?
  9. We camp in Lot 2, it's a lively, but not extreme camp zone. We camped in the Coke lot a couple times, but man, you gotta stay on your toes over there. Nice that you have a friend that close, my cousin had a house on 28th street at one time, just behind T4. Would be very cool to have met Roger Ward. Those guys from "back in the day" just WOW!! That is the great part of the bronze badges, if the weather is bad, I can just hang out in the garages. Watch them wrench on the cars, and maybe, just maybe, get a chance to get a word or two with Mario, "Rocket" Rick Mears, Al Sr, Al Jr., or Uncle Bobby. Edit: Should include the very rarest, "Super Tex" A.J. Foyt, might acknowledge you exist, lol
  10. I'm guessing your guessing correctly, lol. It is a bad habit I guess, but being from around these parts, when someone says "the track" it is assumed Indianapolis Motor Speedway is the destination. We get bronze badges every year, and I usually just take my vacation at that time and go to the track everyday. We also camp there from Thursday-Race day. The spectacle of speed is something I became hooked on at a young age. Even now, after all the time I've spent at those hallowed grounds, when I go through the tunnel from 16th street, the reverence of the place is overwhelming.
  11. We upgraded to platinum this year, with high hopes of going to CP, KD, MA, and maybe Carowinds. Spacing vacation time while still having my time at the track in May, is going to be the tricky part.
  12. Have high hopes to be there for our first trip to CP, seems like a good choice, lol
  13. I've waited some time before posting this, for reasons I thought necessary. My dream came the night after the New Texas Giant accident. I was on Diamondback, as we came into the last helix, over the path next to the Crypts old building, people just started flying out of the seats. The strangest part was, that though people flew off the train, they would land on the Crypts queue and just kinda slide on their knees, and get up.
  14. If, and that is a big IF, I was going to pay an upcharge for either, I'd choose slingshot. That said, I think the Sky Coaster really could use a new home. Sadly the space it requires, and flat topography, would make it challenging.
  15. If you just click the link, it should show. I don't have a Instagram acct, but could see it.
  16. Tombstone names.. N. O'Chickens, just saying, lol
  17. Been meaning to go there, work hours make it difficult. Though I have sat in the drive-through at Popeyes looking at it.
  18. What would happen? We'd be there Would it succeed? Possibly, as long as we weren't the only ones. Expectations? Not sure here, would be nice to have the fountains set up for skating, but that could be expensive depending on weather. Lot of water to pipe chilling into. Some nice shows, and a Santa greet for the kids. Decorations and Christmas lights, of course. As for rides, I'd expect little more than the Grand Carousel, though if they wanted to heat the FoF building, I'd ride it, lol Want it to return? We'll put footprints on that property anytime we are allowed to do so.
  19. That's largely why we picked GOCC. Also was recommended by IndyGuy4KI.
  20. That song pops into my head more than I'd like to admit. Amazing how things like that get embedded into your memory, from what seems so very long ago.
  21. Fantastic, I'll save my good-byes for a later date. As has been said you will be missed, and your service is greatly appreciated. I salute you good Sir, and look forward to your return, to that wonderfully special place, just north of Cincinnati.
