Vortex acting werid when I went last. (last weekend)
NoChickens replied to JubJester's topic in Trip Reports
Last Friday I had a very enjoyable ride on Vortex. 5-1 was as smooth as I can remember it ever being. -
Nothing serious, did have to Evac though. http://fox59.com/2014/10/12/people-trapped-in-sky-cars-at-new-zoo-exhibit/

^^ Between people, or just with Don? Terp, amused by the thought. Does that mean Don has accepted the challenge?

Knott's Chicken Dinner Restaurant
NoChickens replied to The Interpreter's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
That kinda bugs me, glad I've not been there. -
Well I guess southern would apply. My mom is from Somerset KY., and my dad is from Jackson. I myself was born in a tiny little place called Ary, Ky. Though I was only there for about 2 days, I guess I still qualify, lol. To clarify though, in this instance it does indeed mean " I don't wanna"

I don't think dizzy is accurate, but Invertigo brings me close to nausea, with the added bonus of about a 2 hour headache. It's on my short list of rides I don't care to ride.

Nope, no problem.

Depending on who you ask, when you ask, and where you ask, there is such a plan. Granted it is a daily plan, but no cup to carry, except from fill to finish.

A Geico commercial just came to mind.

We'll be there I'm sure, just waiting for details.

But are they "staying afloat?" And are the people of Kentucky, aka the commonwealth, willing to absorb it?

VR synced up with a real roller coaster.
NoChickens replied to Sonofbeast2.0's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Worst part is, if it's even slightly out of sync, you could throw up ON a generic coaster in a building. -
As has been stated more times than I can remember, you may not be the target market.

New twist on the wristbands yesterday. Friends we took with us to the park inquired about the wristband, and the person at the stall they stopped at said, it was available, but only for gold and platinum pass holders. And yeah, August, yet the confusion continues.

It's A Small World Turns 50
NoChickens replied to PhantomTheater's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
While it is a catchy diddly(and a great ride), I still prefer "those happy friends that live in my tv" .Sadly lost to most. -
Get a Top Spin, use the Kings Dominion ride cycle. With very little landscaping,( I think?) it would fit behind Eiffel Tower, next to the unused Smoothie stand. Could possibly call it The Crypt?

Not been to em all yet, but Kings Dominion is great.

It was a great trip to be sure, though I wish we had ridden Talon again without the rain. The ride we took on Steel Force without the rain was much better, sorry you missed that one. I will also say, like Andrew I wish we hadn't skipped Kingda Ka. While I will admit I was intimidated in general, the lack of eye protection was the deal breaker. Overall I'd call it a toss up between NJFTP and Kings Dominion, both are very high up on my "must return" list, and both deserve a full day instead of a whirlwind tour. Six Flags Great Adventure was great. The park in general had a great feel to it, and was full of energy. El Toro is awesome, and the name fits, a bucking bull intent on dislodging you from its back. Sadly this experience could've been better if the cars didn't have graphics made to resemble a Kia Soul, really? When I think "bucking bull", a Kia is not what comes to mind. Nitro was also a very fun ride, the transitions into the 2nd? and 5th? drops were quite unexpected, wish they had incorporated at least 1 of those into Diamondback. Skull Mountain and The Dark Knight are both decent dark rides, almost inexcusable KI doesn't have something like them. Like I said, I will go back and give this park a full day visit. Kings Dominion was also outstanding, and really better than I had expected. Avalanche was nothing short of just plain fun, nothing intense about it, just FUN and semi unique, only bobsled coaster I've ridden, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Grizzly was fun as well, nothing special, but fun. Hurler, you can have it, one ride was enough for me. Now, Volcano on the other hand, WOW! What a ride! Nothing short of fantastic, the line was long, but glad I waited for it. Blast coaster is just that, a BLAST! Wish we had rode I305 the same train as you for your 100th, but glad you got the front !! This ride is also nothing short of awesome!! It grabs you up the lift, throws you over the top, and never lets up. Great smooth, quick transitions. The turns are so quick I actually felt some air time just transitioning from one turn to the next. And the turn after the first drop, INTENSE!. This is another park I will be giving a full day of attention in the future. Glad we went, had a great time. :-D
