  1. I don't understand why parks that have rules against on-ride photography don't contact YouTube, or any other video host, and ask that they be removed. As long as people have a forum for this misconduct, it will continue.
  2. http://www.mcall.com/news/nationworld/pennsylvania/mc-pa-roller-coaster-worker-struck-20150326-story.html Thankfully it seems he should be ok.
  3. Not that I'll ever ride big droppy thing, but I can only imagine how unnerving it would be to be that high as a train goes over, and the structure sways a bit.
  4. I believe the problem here is actually New Jersey's ride inspectors not wanting the train passing overhead while people are on Zumanjaro. I could be wrong, but I think that is what I heard. The rides themselves are capable of running simultaneously, they are just not allowed to. Anyone able to confirm this?
  5. What is your experience like with said company? Would you call them "luxury"? Is it a company you'd be willing to post openly about? Curious NoChickens.
  6. Anyone else see this coming? Headline, Local politician calls for the end of fireworks at Disneyland, due to fire hazards.
  7. I can't wait to see it back again. It is my favorite flat. Well, since the Crypt is gone,,
  8. exlusive ride time? https://www.visitkingsisland.com/images/uploads/file/Coasterstock(1).pdf
  9. MrsNoChickens says to do Great Adventure and Hershey Park.
  10. Wow, I don't know if I can answer that. KD, has Volcano,I-305, and the Crypt. NJFTP , Nitro, El Toro, and the best wild mouse coaster ever, The Dark Knight Coaster. Both of these parks required a return visit this year. I know it's not on your list of options, but I think I'd consider doing both of them instead.
  11. Having only been to 2 of the 4, and each on opposing lists, not sure I can help much. But I can say that KD and NJFTP are both on our "return to" list this year. I just hope your better at decisions than I am.
  12. Already have our room reserved at Breakers. Will arrive Thursday afternoon sometime, if all goes as planned. GOCC Edit: Just as a bonus, CoasterMania is on my birthday this year!!
  13. There is NO doubt where I will be the weekend following. We usually camp in lot 2, Carb Day, through race day.
  14. Thanks for reminding me why I don't like coming here much anymore. Like it or not, you do, and as such you're bound by the TOS. Is it really that hard to hit the shift key? I see you capitalized "I".
  15. ok, SIX, and FUN, lol The point is valid though, an El Toro like coaster would be grand.
  16. Well.....I say, Coasterstock, you and the wife need to see me We do!! But I have a long tradition at the track. She has already said she's doing Coasterstock. And I must admit I'm, leaning that way. It's still not an easy decision, years of tradition down the drain, and a passion. Don't know if you've ever been, but Indy qualifying can be quite intense. Just entering that place makes chills run up my spine.
  17. I've said it before, but I'll say it again. If it wasn't for Cedar Fairs relations with INTAMIN, and El Toro like coaster would round out the woodies.
  18. The Racer is iconic, as others have mentioned. I really don't see it going anywhere anytime soon. Though I will say a coat of paint would make me feel better about its future. The worst thing I could see happening would be RMC treatment. Call me nostalgic, but, it's not the same coaster redone. I know some of the younger, and a few older, people here would argue that it would be a better ride. I disagree, the SIX treatment of old woodies is a travesty. History is an important part of our enthusiast community. Would the Coney Island Cyclone be the same with steel track? How about Jack Rabbit?
  19. If the hotel was part of the park, great for hotel guests. But what about park guests? A coaster only hotel guest could ride would be a very large investment for limited rider ship. Now a monorail, lol.
  20. I shot a few machine guns, and it was well themed. Took me a few years to get through the attraction, it started in Ft. Sill OK., and ended at Ft. Ord CA. ;-)
  21. Facing one of the hardest decisions ever. That is also the weekend of qualifications for the Indy 500. I was really hoping 2 awesome events would not "bang heads". Hopeful that the park will adjust the schedule next year to save me this vexation. As for now I am still torn, first Coasterstock vs. first chance to see the new aerokits capabilities. Some are saying pole could be around 235 mph. I suck at decisions, and this is a tough one.
