  1. Banshee starts with the letter B, Bizzaro starts with the letter B. Banshee is 7 letters, Bizzaro is 7 letters. Banshee is purple, Bizzaro is purple. The Shoe fits the foot.
  2. Yes but did he resign by his choice or was he given the A or B plan?
  3. They’ve been preparing for this for a while. No wonder Ouimet got voted out.
  4. We could only hope if this “merger” did happen, that Kings Island is to be sold to Herschend Entertainment and or SEAS.
  5. Firstly, not every incident you listed was the manufacturers fault. My argument however is regardless of the incidents people still ride Intamin coasters and hold them to high regard. In fact Intamin produces such a fun ride that they currently boast 7 coasters in top 10 spots for the Golden Ticket Awards. RMC is another alleged company that CF no longer wants to work with. And that company has 2 coasters in the top 10. And before I get the argument of “ThE GoLdEn TiCkEt AwArdS DonT MaTtEr” Then why else would any park go after them or even post signage of the golden tickets they have won? Heck CF even posted their Golden Ticket accomplishments on their corporate website. It is a big deal, there’s a lot of prestige that comes from obtaining those awards. And clearly those rides are a lot of fun and typically rank highly in most people’s favorite rides.
  6. The Chain ain’t concerned for our safety anyways. Their counter to the TTD suit is that she is responsible for her own safety. Caveat Emptor.
  7. It hasn’t affected the lines for Maverick or Millennium Force?
  8. The same could be said about the last B&M coaster Kings Island got, clearly didn’t bring in the attendance, also didn’t even sniff top 10 on the Golden Ticket awards, compared to the other Giga Coasters in the CF portfolio. I like the idea of branching out with a totally different manufacturer. With the recent resurgence in instillations in the US could CF swallow their pride and dare I say it. Take another shot with Intamin?
  9. They did? Did you visit this season?
  10. CP does not grant gold pass members who are not staying in a CF owned hotel, early entry. My last visit they were checking passes prior to granting early entry.
  11. Nothing like paying $350+ to sip on tap water underneath a low budget party tent while simultaneously breathing in coal smoke. IMG_1801.mov
  12. Second trip to CP for Halloweekends. Day 1 On the way to Sandusky, made a pit stop in Lima for lunch at Kewpee’s, the food was good and the naked baby statue was just as creepy from my last visit. After lunch, and a couple more hours of driving we made it to Castaway Bay and immediately noticed how much busier it was than my trip last month. We checked into our room then proceeded to the indoor waterpark. None of the slides were opened, I inquired about it and had one supervisor tell me they rotate rides being open and closed, and after an hour I asked another supervisor when they planed on any of the slides being opened and was told they don’t have the staffing. Yet all the kid stuff was opened. The “hot tub.” wasn’t really hot, and only the outdoor portion had working water jets. I’m guessing the reasoning for the temperature drop was to accommodate the 3-4 year olds swimming with life jackets in it. Arrived at CP around 4:50pm for ERT and parked in my usual spot in the water park parking lot. My bad luck continued with Wild Mouse. Asked for the Cheese Cart and was denied even with a short line. Then proceeded to make my Millennium Force which went down just before getting on because of some bozo pulled their phone out. Afterwards ate at my go to restaurant at CP being Backbeat BBQ and got the brisket with Mac n cheese. It was excellent as usual. By now the crowd started to pick up and this Thursday was definitely busier than the previous times I’ve been. Rode the Boo-streak which had Mystic Timbers theme playing in the station. We finished the night doing CP’s new Midnight Syndicate maze, they had an annoying spiel on a loop in the queue. Something about “I am the darkness that is midnight! Blah blah blah.” Well I can tell you, the maze is anything but dark. I’ll leave it at that. Day 2 Checked out of Castaway Bay and Arrived early again for ERT but this time the gate attendants were in a mood on insuring non gold pass members were trying to get in. Watched a guy argue with the gate attendant about having to physically show his pass. I figure the gate attendant was not going to let me in because I don’t have my physical pass with me, as I keep the QR code on my watch. The gate attendant proceed to say “I’m just gonna trust you Troy.” And scans me in with the other guy standing there. LOL. The crowd level for a Friday before school lets out this was the busiest I’ve seen. It almost seemed like a regular weekend day during the summer. The crowd level really got bad around 3pm-4pm and we opted to bail and try our luck again at Castaway Bay. As we were walking out we made a quick stop at Sweet Spot as they were offering 50% off select items. Got back to Castaway Bay and this time they had the tall slides open, and the “hot tub” was a bit warmer than the day before. Then within 30 minutes of being there all of the slides were closed, with a supervisor showdown going on at the little desk they hover around. The wave pool was then closed too. With the only things operating is kid stuff and the “hot tub”. We decided to cut our losses and leave. On the way home because the warm weather we stopped at Toft’s Ice Cream Parlor. I got the Salted Chocolate Carmel, it was good although a bit too rich. Before we got home we capped off the night with an impromptu stop at Kings Island. In summary, next season we might opt to stay in a different hotel. Call it budget cuts, low staffing or whatever, if you’re going to rotate rides you can at least provide a time table that way I can plan my day or provide at the minimum one grown up slide at all times. It’s hard to justify spending more per night for a water park but only getting similar amities that other hotels can provide at a cheaper cost. That was the biggest let down of the trip, and everything else was fine. You couldn’t ask for better weather.
  13. I’m sure having rides painted ain’t cheap, you would think that they would want to have it done correctly regardless if it’s a minor detail, especially when there was no rush to have the painting completed. Diamondback too was painted from bottom to top.
  14. Late post but I find it odd they started painting from the bottom up vs the top down. I figure there is potential for paint run and drips going over progress already made.
  15. Yes! I would include Gravity Group in the mix too. My only want would be steel lattice supports over anything wood if they are going to paint it white, that way it fades and stays one solid color vs individual boards being replaced with unpainted pieces of wood.
  16. Not disagreeing on the ethics part. The difference however is ownership for both chains. Cedar Fair is a public company therefore a slave to its shareholders who live in the now. They the shareholders only care about their quarterly reports, specifically earnings. Herschend Entertainment on the other hand is a private company. So they care more so about the long term gains, even if it hurts them a little now. I’m not defending Cedar Fair unethical business practices. It’s a poopy thing to do. However It’s their shareholders who push it tho. Ain’t much we can do about it other than vote with your wallet or go on X and beg Elon Musk take Cedar Fair private.
  17. Temple of terror was great! Not sure how it would have been 15 years ago so I won’t spoil any details for ya. The ball pit is no more for Killer Klownz.
  18. I would love to see a log flume added to Rivertown with a packaged deal of improving the theming of The Beast. They could bring back the water feature on The Beast and incorporate it into the log flume. There’s a decent hill that drops from The Beast to The Vortex plot. They could turn that into a waterfall which would really be fitting to the Rivertown area. Give it a night time lighting package and it would be a sight to behold looking from that backlot midway. Apologies in advance for my kindergarten level of drawling.
  19. Maybe they will get a couple bags of sand and dump them along the banks of the Little Miami River. That way they can market themselves “The Roller Coast.”
  20. Any word from the state of NC concluding its investigation?
