  1. Do tell about these “countless reasons” since it wasn’t intentional because the only thing they are counting are dollar bills that they are now pocketing by not delivering remotely close to the product that was advertised. They advertised a VIP lounge with bottle drinks then as soon as the season starts they switched to tap water. That is text book bait and switch. The chain is simply using caveat emptor as a means to make it “legal.” It is unethical regardless.
  2. Just because they have some legal language written down doesn’t mean they can’t be faulted and or sued and lose. If it wasn’t intentional then why remove those benefits to begin with? Was it Coca-Cola pandemic? Coca-Cola shortage? Coca-Cola broke down? Coca-Cola inclement weather? Coca-Cola construction delay? Or was it done with the intention of being able to pocket more money?
  3. What CF did to prestige pass members is textbook bait and switch. the action (generally illegal) of advertising goods which are an apparent bargain, with the intention of substituting inferior or more expensive goods. "a bait-and-switch scheme" ”Subject to availability” More or less is a phrase used as an item is out of stock or broken. They’re still selling bottle drinks.
  4. And some people think Dick Kinzel is gone. He himself, might be gone but that doesn’t mean the culture that he created is.
  5. I would reimagine Orion. -Add a cable lift -Trains with 2 abreast seating like what B&M has on Steel Dragon 2000. -Add 30ft in height for the lift hill. -Add 1000ft in track for the overall coaster. -Change the elements on the ride that focus on speed and being low to the ground. -Rename it Orion 2 after modifications made.
  6. You’re not missing anything at Michigans Adventure. The park is nicely landscaped, however there aren’t many coasters and most of them are rough. The waterpark is nice, but not 6 hour drive worthy. I ate at Coasters there for lunch and the food was darn near inedible. I have the season long dining plan and instead of using it for dinner. I elected to eat outside of the park instead. It was truly that gross.
  7. Yes! They could just model what used to be Holiday in Lights at Sharon Woods:
  8. I can’t be the only one who would want to do this on Race for Your Life Charlie Brown during Winterfest: https://youtu.be/nIn9vmzWWSE?si=glQfAy4KhSFxOGT3
  9. I forgot to mention but yes they do have no boo necklaces. While in line for the haunted trail a man standing behind me was wearing one while holding his 1 year old son.
  10. First impression: Arrived at the park and seen they built a new gate to enter the parking lot, however the lot was mainly gravel. We made our way to will call to get our tickets and fast passes and noticed the lady helping us at the desk was drinking on the job. (Literally had a bottle of 99 peaches next to her cup, LOL.) Seeing that at first I thought this place was going to be suspect but after we made it through security you could immediately tell how much pride is put into the park. It is very well kept, everything looks fairly new. The restroom was by far one of the cleanest I’ve seen for a park in ohio. Crowd levels: The park started to get busy around 830, to the point where they had to extend the lines by using caution tape and traffic cones. Scare actors: None of the roomers were actually scaring anybody in the midway. They were mainly taking selfies with guest and dancing to the music being played by the DJ. All of the costumes worn by the scare actors and roomers were unique, and didn’t give an off the shelf vibe. Fog: No fog in the midways, however there was fog in the mazes. Food & Drinks: Mainly franchise food that was purchased and delivered to the park with some in house food. The hot chocolate was of the CF kind but they did have the option of making it an adult beverage, which I did. Also the mixed drink I had was made on site vs being pre mixed and served. A big plus is that I could taste the alcohol. Mazes: The park encompasses 4 mazes and a haunted trail. All of them were well themed and staffed with scare actors. My favorite there was the Middle Town Haunted Trail, which is a mile long and has different themed zones that encompass the trail. It’s almost as if they’ve taken a couple mazes and turned them into one big trail. My least favorite maze was Phobia. There is a part of the maze that requires you to duck down and squeeze your way through these Buffy walls. The entrance to that part of the maze was quite dark. This created a huge bottle neck and we probably stood for a good 5 minutes waiting for people to move. Very frustrating, and the scare actors were getting upset people weren’t moving. All in all it was a fun night! Finished the entire park in roughly 4 hours with fast pass. Im looking forward to going again next year! IMG_1718.mov
  11. Id like to add that theft seems to be rampant in the park this season. At least from what I have seen and from what others have told me. The park doesn’t seem to give much thought into the issue, which leads me to believe the registers are actually just donation boxes. It’s not a good look, considering theft is a security issue. It gives off the impression of the park being less safe.
  12. If it was my choice. I’d like to see the park focus more on building indoor coasters. That way if they do go to year round ops. There will be a decent lineup regardless of weather. At the end of the day I’d rather see the park get the best bang for the buck coaster wise. Filling a hole in the lineup just to fill a hole doesn’t always produce the best results. **cough cough** Orion.
  13. Gotta keep those quarterly earnings up to appease the investors. Maybe Ouimet is no longer on the board because his ideology was no longer of value to the chain.
  14. Thank goodness! I was beginning to think winter was never going to end!
  15. Right!? I can’t remember the last time I’ve seen the line just to get in the park stretch down the parking lot midway. I figure with all the spelling errors made by the Comms Dept, people wouldn’t come.
  16. No Bourbon cream or baileys hot chocolates? Bummer.
  17. Is there any stands that serve good hot chocolate that’s not chocolate flavored water?
  18. I would imagine the service life is as long as the park is willing to put money into keeping it operational. Disney’s Haunted Mansion is over 50 years old.
  19. The park hates us to the point that they thought it would be funny to let all the wind in.
  20. The season long dining plan has returned to Six Flags. As far CF goes, specifically Kings Island the food portions and quality is fine, generally speaking. However Kings Island offerings of entrees are of the cheaper meats than the other parks I have visited in the Chain. CP, KD, and Carowinds offered more premium proteins than Kings Island. I agree with you tho, as cheap as the passes are. I’d be willing to spend more in order to get a more premium experience.
  21. I’d love to see a massive log flume in Vortex’s spot. Mainly so I can be the first to make a POV and tell everyone: ”We’re on a log flume!!”
  22. The point of doing that is to entice you to spend more money by buying the meal plan. For example, when I took the lady friend to CP they wanted $104 for a single day ticket. BUT for 25ish more dollars I could’ve bought her a gold pass out right and had unlimited visits to CP. No I didn’t pay $104 since I purchased the ticket online with a bring a friend discount. But you get the idea.
