OOOOOHHHH! Chef, I am jealous! I have always loved Princess Leia in the slave outfit. Other than interviewing Peter Mayhew, did you get to talk to anyone else? Warning! Shameless Plug! The costume company I work for, Magic Makers Costumes, now has new Anakin Skywalker and Darth Vader costumes from Revenge of the Sith. You can find them here...Magic Makers

It wouldn't have to be a B&M dive machine. It could easily be a Gerstlauer Eurofighter. So, still no B&M. Why won't PKI buy from B&M? That's a really good question. I know that B&M's cost more money to build, but, you're also paying for a nearly flawless safety record and immense reliability. But, I guess their too cheap.

"Also I too still use the taste great/less filling on the Viking ship, where did that come from, and why doesn't anyone do it anymore?" It comes from I believe an old Coors light beer commercial. I guess people started doing that because of the popularity. I would say that no one does it any more because that commercial phrase hasn't been around in a long time.

One reason I voted for Addams Family ride is because you will never see a B&M at PKI, no matter how badly we want one.
-
Sorry, Charlize Theron is way hotter than Angelina Jolie. I'm not sure what kind of ride could be made from this movie. Have you guys seen Aeon Flux? It's an odd story.

My tradition is a night time ride on The Beast. And, La Rosa's pizza for lunch.

^I'm sure PKIC will deliver a better video, but, until then, this is NOT a bad one to watch.

New WOF TimberWolf warning sign
KIBeast replied to CoastersNSich's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
I don't think they should. Don't they already have ride intensity signs where you can make your own decision? Sounds like they have been threatened with a lawsuit by the way the claim to take no responsility for your discomfort. -
Two words: Not lame! Looks pretty cool to me! Looked like he was having fun!

^Is is just at the sit-down places or at the actual stands?
-
Faceoff, you're from West Virginia? Me too. "First off I wanna say I dont trust weather men/women because weather is always changing. I will be at the park reguardless of what the weather may be." I heard a local meteorologist say that the weather is not something that is easily predicted beyond one day, let alone a week. This is because the weather can change real quick.

^Not to mention a lot more plausible.

Why is it that scary attractions are for Fearfest only? What happened to the good 'ol days of amusement parks having haunted houses in them operating the entire season? I think it's one of the things missing from every park I visit. As a matter of fact, Camden Park in my hometown has one of the oldest operating haunted houses. It was almost considered a coaster due to the fact that it has a chain lift and the ride is based on gravity. I haven't been on SDATH, but every time I'm over that way, there's a long wait to it. Scooby is as popular as ever.

^Yeah, it just shows his immaturity. Player, I highly doubt that Diana would be interested in you. "#3 and the most important: People at the park, either employees or Season Pass holders, get to see a ton of the opposite gender all day. What makes you stand out (besides being 13 years old, hat sideways, and you holding your pants up with one hand while the other one is in some weird posistion that I know my hand cant get in) " In other words, your momma dresses you funny!

"That is good news i dont know how the name would sound any way else." It would sound better as just King's Island, which is what the original name was.
-
I wonder how, if at all, this will affect their overall budget?
-
That is what I was really referring to as well. Meijer is one thing, Gilette is a whole other story.
-
I think I'm in agreement with erniebald. I, for one, don't want to see any more commercial "billboards" (for lack of a better word) pop up in the park. It is a distraction and quickly reminds me of the crappy over-commmericalized world that we live in. Can we not do something without having to look at these? Ridiculous.
-
Hmmmm. That's a pretty good idea, Kenban.

"Nice job, right now it looks more accurate than the original video animation" I know you said kudos to the guy whom made the original video, but, it was made based on descriptions and artist renderings. Things have changed a little since then. The guy who did the IJ:ST vid, does most of the promo vids you see for new coasters. Here is his site bad nitrus. Not trying to get on you or anything, just want you to see what this guy has done. Completely amazing.

Looks like a pretty good re-creation, from what I know of the ride.

Ryan, the maestro was my favorite as well! I remember one of the first times I was walking through the line, there were some real little kids in front of me and were literally terrified of the Maestro. He did look pretty real!

"PKI needs a capacity hog," Well, apparently we aren't going to see that this season.

Paramount also owns the rights to Judge Judy. There's a ride in there somewhere, I can see it.
