^I agree with you on this. I don't care if KI gets no new ride next year as long as they get rid of everything Paramount.

^Then someone needs to shoot that little bird. I think CP will always be the flagship park. I could easily see CF selling off some of the land that is not in use as well. They tend to not hold on to any extra land.

Ryan, I want to buy a Platinum Pass, but it's not likely to happen until the 'ol tax return comes. Any idea what the price will be after 11/11?

Ryan, I am jealous. We had a hockey team here in Huntington, WV not too long ago. I really miss going to those games. Watching the Blizzard is how I learned the rules of hockey as I couldn't keep up with the pro games. I am planning a visit to my step-sister and her husband in Columbus and hopefully we will go to a Blue Jackets game. I think it really stinks that ESPN 2 doesn't carry the NHL games any more. My other plans hopefully include buying my first home and moving in. I am trying to buy a house that my grandparents used to own.

^I've seen similar things at the airport where I work. I was working in the parking lot one evening and went to the terminal to use the bathroom. The janitor was putting signs on three stalls because there was feces all over the place. You could tell that they had bent over at the waist, still standing and relieved himself. It splattered into the two adjacent stalls. Just a complete lack of respect.

I can imagine KI had stellar attendance in October.

It's amazing that CP is even mentioned. They usually don't give out numbers on a park to park basis.

Transformers is a Paramount movie, and it is apparent CF is NOT interested in licensing any Paramount movies, which for the most part, suck.

Well ding dang dogit! I needs me some units then! I am very interested to see the results after 3rd quarter and see just how well HH did if they list that individually.

^Well, I am saying that it IS a capital improvement, but by some people's standards around here, unless it's a coaster or thrill ride, it's not a capital improvement which isn't so.

My post was not in response to Ryan's post. It's something I've considered for a long time now. I have faith in CF and I think they will be just fine in 5-10 years.

So what if KI doesn't get any new rides next season. Is there not enough to do already? They already have the best kids' area (Golden Ticket or not as evidenced by the sheer number of people in NU), world class coasters and thrill rides. I also have heard that the shows improved some this year. I can think of many things that could be fixed/updated without adding any new ride. I'm sure if you look at the history of the park expenditures, you'll find many years where there were no new rides.

No one should be feeling anyone on this site. It's a family site.

I've stayed at the KI Inn too. Very nice and the food is pretty good too. I just wish it was within walking distance to the park. I always plan next year's trips between now and March.

Gordon, my wife was turned away from MF and she is now making an effort to fit next year. I was embarassed for her and she actually cried over it. I was so disappointed because she was looking forward to riding MF over Dragster. The ride op on Dragster was really cool. My wife needed a little help and was talking with her saying she didn't think she would fit. The op replied," I'm a big farm girl myself, so if I can fit, so can you." She helped her with the belt and then we were on our way. I wish I knew her name so I could thank her personally. Her comment gave us a chuckle and she really made an effort to get her on Dragster.

And here comes some more complaints.

I agree about asking your doctor about riding coasters. I have had back surgery myself. I was not able to ride coasters for about five years. Doc thought that the jarring would probably hurt me. After five years, I called back to ask again. I was told to go ahead and ride. And, if it hurt, don't do it again. If it did, guess you are ok to ride.
