  1. Nick Toons will be out by 2011? I didn't know we had some psychics here. I would have to agree with Shaggy. Nick is not leaving any time soon. It's way too popular and instant recognition from the children.
  2. Just because an addition isn't a new coaster or flat, does not make it a lousy addition. The GP tends to like these kinds of things.
  3. I believe you can buy your pass at Knott's and have it processed there.
  4. Too cool. I figured you might know the answer to hand brakes on Beast.
  5. Delirium, I believe, is one year older than maXair. I really don't see how Deli could be rougher than maXair. And, I have been on both and it's the same sensation. The only difference I could tell was that it seemed that Maxi did more swings than Deli. Great pics and TR!
  6. Some how I dont think that FOF would follow the plot of BTTF very well nor fit in with x-base very well; but thats just me... I had to quote you just becuase I realized that I stated a look-alike flux capacitor, as if there was a "real" one. Just caught my own mistake. Sure, it wouldn't fit into the theming, but that's not a factor at KI. Tell me how that Octoberfest theming is working out. Or, the fact that IJ:ST is completely in the wrong area of the park as far as tying it into the themed area.
  7. It's almost like going back in time....(cue Deloreon Rider)
  8. 1)You know that's right when they totally changed the scheme for Iron Dragon. It's nice that they painted it and all. But now, the trains do not match the color scheme in the least. 2)Man, you said it about the garbage cans! There's never a shortage of those.
  9. That is true and you are correct. However, I was just generally speaking of ALL of the rumors that are posted here. Some people, as you will find out as you are here longer, do know what they are talking about. Then there are others who know, and will give clues, but expect you to connect the dots as they will not come right out and say it.
  10. I just got a stellar idea. Get new trains that look like Deloreons and re-theme to BTTF. Every car could have its' own look-alike flux capacitor lit up.
  11. As Interpreter surely knows, Camden Park's Big Dipper still runs with hand brakes. I do remember when The Racers had hand brakes, but I didn't ride The Beast until a few years after it opened, so I don't know about hand brakes on The Beast. Although, I thought it was discussed here before that The Beast was the first KI coaster to use computer controlled braking system.
  12. But, I am a lazy accountant. I do see what you are saying. However, it seems there are many armchair CEO's and managers around here and they talk all the time about how badly CF runs things. Could they do better? I would hardly think so, although no one challenges these opinions. And, I probably could have picked a better descriptive word than lazy. Yes, Magnum XL200 is a great coaster, but that design had basically already been done. Magnum and Millennium are designed after out and back wood coasters, which have been around for a long time.
  13. I think that is strange. Wonder if it will even be operating for the '08 season? Makes you wonder. Well, I'll be heading there sometime this summer and I'll see for myself and take a donkey load of pics seeing how I got that new camera for Christmas. I would like to ride it one time just so I can say that I did. I also cannot wait to be able to ride Dominator again.
  14. I would say no more reliable than the rumors you hear right here at KICentral. I liked Bombay's idea of using the Texas Twister props from Geauga Lake. I thought it looked pretty good and was kinda funny at the same time.
  15. Why didn't arrow think of that? Well, remember this. Ron Toomer was a lazy designer. It's obvious in the horrid transitions that most arrows have. Not to mention, he basically bent a coat hanger and said wow, I designed a loop. Lazy designer? Like you could do any better?... In reguards to the transistions, The newest multi-looper from Arrow is Tennessee Tornado and that opened up in 99! So if they are rough now, how well they are maintained has alot to do with it. And don't even get me started on the technological breakthroughs that have occured in the past 20 years in terms of train design, maintenance techniques, steel fabrication, and the overall coaster design process....Oh and if you honestly believe he designed customers rides from coat hangers then you are an idiot. Please quote me where I said I could do better. Too bad the best Arrow looper had nothing to do with Toomer. Look, I rode Vortex in its' heyday and rode it last year. It's just as bumpy as ever and I would say that KI does a stellar job of maintaining that coaster. I did some reading about Toomer's desgins and it has been greatly debated before. Yes, many of his coasters still grace many amusement parks to this day. I just can't remember exactly where I read it and the writer made a lot of sense about many things that could have been done, even back before computers, that would have made his coasters a lot smoother.

  17. I say leave it as is. Sure, I am bored of the pre-show as I have seen it many times. But, it is in pretty good shape, at least for now. I just hope it doesn't go the way of Disaster Transport.
  18. Why did you spend the entire time at Nick or Treat?
  19. Doesn't really matter to me what opening day is, since I probably won't go until May anyway, when it is much warmer.
  20. I would take Demon Drop over Drop Zone or Power Tower.
  21. I do remember the Wacky Races. I also remember another favorite of mine was the Laffalympics. Remember that one? The Yogi Yahooies, the Scooby Doobies, and the Really Rottens. I'd also like for Jabber Jaw to be Twinkle Toes' Vice President. What could be better than a shark who sounds like Curly of the Three Stooges?
  22. I vote Twinkle Toes of the Hanna Barberra Party!
