  1. I knew that GL had some history to it, but I've never read up on it. Cool info.
  2. There is also the rumor that headspin may head to Kings Dominion to replace Hypersonic XLC for 2009.
  3. Hm thats funny. I could have swore they each had their own unique deisgn. Mind showing us which 200 foot and 300 foot wood coasters they were designed after? I'm sorry. Where did I say that they matched wood coasters height? Nowhere. The basic model of a large first hill followed by air time hills. They're modeled after out and back coasters.
  4. There's no IF about it. It was the one from Geauga lake.
  5. ^ I agree Tigger. This is not the only message board where I hear enthusiasts comparing CF to SF, and I think CF seems to have had a plan in mind whiles SF surely didn't look like they had any plan at all. What SF was counting on was that coaster installation after coaster installation was the magic cure all for their attendance. Never mind the poor customer service, the rides that stood SBNO for years, and the general uncleanliness of the parks. The two chains really don't mirror each other in the least, as far as I'm concerned. CF still needs to improve their customer servie and get a hold of their outrageous food prices. So, they are not perfect, but it appears that they strive for perfection when SF strives for mediocrity.
  6. I kinda cheated though. He is a friend on myspace and it reminded me yesterday that it would be his birthday today. So, I sent him a message there and then last night, here. Again, Happy Birthday!
  7. I thought the same thing too, Tggr. I think it's about time Dick Kinzel retired.
  8. And now, it appears that Thunderhawk will be back to its' original colors.
  9. Wow! That looks like a pretty wild ride!
  10. I thought it looks better with the ST colors than the TH colors.
  11. KIBeast replied to a post in a topic in KI Polls
None of the above. How about Bayern Curve? 2700th post! Woohoo!
  12. Well, most people always considered CP ahead of SFMM considering Flashback has been SBNO for years now. Also, I thought Guiness listed CP with the most coasters, not SFMM.
  13. I went only two times and had a great time there. No, it was not KI or even CP, but that's what made it different. I actually preferred GL's entrance to CP's or KI's.
  14. I haven't kept up with this coaster. What were the legal troubles they were having?
  15. I heard that there were supposed to be some more food sponsorships in SF's parks.
  16. What I am really interested in, since we already know what kind of coaster it is, is how heavy the theming will be. Should do them good that the Dark Knight movie is released this year.
  17. That looks like a really interesting layout. Talk about ultimate use of the surrounding land.
  18. So, it's not just the home market struggling?
  19. Has the land for GL been sold as of yet? I would think that would help...some.
  20. Knowing CF and how they love to trim their wood coasters, it very well could happen, providing it didn't slow you down too much as not to make it to the MCBR.
  21. I thought the Rose Bowl was much smoother than last time I rode it, which was 2006. It could use a little TLC, but I don't see that part of the ride getting much smoother. I think a lot of it has to do with the speed at which it is taken.
  22. So, roughly three months? Not sure with the wear and tear of only a partial season exactly how much work will need to be done to SOB. Although, most wood coasters get some kind of track work every year.
  23. ^That IS a good question. How much of the season did it even operate?
  24. I think he was referring to past SOB improvements coupled with the money that is being spent on The Crypt aka TR:TR. If they are pinching pennies so hard, they would not have bothered to repair SOB in the first place.
