  1. ^Exactly! I get a clothing allowance from work every six months. If you're a company and going to force people to wear certain uniform, then you should pay for it. Reason being, if the company requires a nice white button down shirt and black slacks, you don't necessarily have to go to Macy's to buy your clothes. They could be bought at Value City as well and you'd pay less. Company uniforms have one price and you'd either pay it or not work.
  2. Nobody...especially since it will be called Back Lot: Stunt Coaster.
  3. From what I saw this morning on the Today Show, someone who works for the Zoo has stated that their walls for the tiger exhibit are something like four feet smaller than recommended. Seems to me that fatality + insufficient walls = lawsuit for the zoo. Not saying whether or not the families should sue, but we all know it will be coming soon unless somehow any of the victims were involved in the tiger's escape.
  4. I thought the rumor about the trains being used on either Beast or Racers had already been shot down? I thought I read somewhere that they are simply being stored at KI and not going to be used on any coaster at KI. Besides that, I would think if Interpreter says it ain't happening, then it ain't crappenin'.
  5. That would certainly be interesting if the rumor turns out to be true. I have never heard that one. The way it is now, I can't imagine it being much longer as it is a pretty long ride as is.
  6. Ooooh, I wouldn't say Mantis is more painful than FOF with the OTSR's, but, that's your opinion Gordon and I can respect that. Comparatively now, though, I would take FOF over Mantis any day. I've never had a problem with my legs hurting from Mantis, so I cannot relate.
  7. Leonard, Don't apologize. I was not aware of all of the inside things that go on about haunts, setting them up, the no 90 degree angles and everything else. It was very insightful. The one thing I won't do is comment on the banter between you and Hauntguy. I don't know enough myself to even judge the situation. From what you have said, the awards given out seem to be very similar to another golden type award that is given to parks every year. If this is true, then they are as big a farce as the GT awards. Believe me, I've been in a few "disagreements" with some folks here and I know how you feel about defending yourself. The only problem is (and I don't think it's the case here) that you both wind up looking silly most of the time. I hope you stick around as this is the GREATEST KI community anywhere! The mods are great and some are even distant friends of mine.
  8. I love how it's been decided that it's a boring coaster before even one person has been on it. Try riding it first, then I'll take your opinions a little more seriously.
  9. Well, they did name that coaster in Carolina to the Borg. I thought that there were endless possibilites of using Star Trek theming. Too bad Paramount didn't think so. Let's look at what they did choose... Drop Zone...Perfectly named for the ride experience...however, horrid movie. Face/Off...Perfectly named for ride experience and was actually a great movie! Italian Job:Stunt Track...very underwhelming although in the beginning, the theming was awesome. Not a bad movie, but not one that people will remember for years to come. Tomb Raider:The Ride...not a good movie or ride. Some good effects. Outer Limits:Flight of Fear...Great execution of theming, initially. The show was good too. Top Gun...the first themed coaster I can remember of personal experience. In the beginning, those effects would have been about equivalent to FOF. Face it. Paramount used to make a lot of great movies. The best thing they did in recent history was the Transformers. Now there would be a good movie theme to use!
  10. Combat, er, I mean Gordon, that does look like a cool triple wheel. Never knew that they made one with three.
  11. ^I would highly doubt that you could tell how clean a restaurant kitchen is judging by their bathrooms. Do you really think the same people clean the bathrooms and kitchen? Trust me. It's not the same people. Usually, your cooks clean the kitchen and a bus boy or dishwasher cleans the bathrooms. Maybe a janitor.
  12. Yes. Dick Kinzel and the board of directors for CF would know. Beyond that, I'm not sure who else would know.
  13. ^The only reason that I thought Head Spin was appropriate was because after going through the loop the first time and up the second spike, my head was literally spinning. So, I say appropriate, but not clever. Kinda like Back Lot Stunt Coaster. It's appropriate because simply, that's what it is, but still not clever. It could be a lot worse. Look at some of the older coaster names that have been used before....SuperDooperLooper for one. Then, look at what really bad names that a lot of foreign coasters have.
  14. I called Camden yesterday and the lady told me that there are other cars to be sold that are in storage. And, of course, the two by the fence are also for sale.
  15. Thank you, Ryan! Wasn't sure how that would work out. This may be my best coaster summer ever! And, my honeymoon to Daytona Beach will be in June!
  16. Leave one for me if you don't mind, Interpreter. I think it would be cool to have one of them. Not sure where I'd place it.
  17. I did the buy now, pay later thing too! I am already setting back some money to pay for them when April comes. I am guessing that you get the parking pass the same day I process? If so, will my parking be refunded for the day since I'll pay before I process? I am so excited about the up and coming season. I will be visiting two new parks next year...Dorney Park and Kings Dominion. Plus, multiple trips to CP and KI.
  18. Well, since I just purhcased my 2008 CF season pass, this would be great.
  19. I personally don't care for Tomb Raider, but, I am glad it's not going anywhere. Seems a lot of people enjoy this ride. I had read a rumor over at Coasterbuzz that it was being removed.
  20. I'm sorry, but I thought after the second movie, HP was just really boring and uninspired. Plus, it looks like she stole her character idea of Harry from The Pagemaster starring McCauley Caulkin from 1994. Plus, all of the plots are nearly identical...someone is being evil...you are lead to think it's one person, then turns out to be someone else. It's definitely predictable.

What a joke! CF just built a $21 million coaster, and it broke no records. Removing Beast because it lost it's record is like removing all trolls from message boards. And removing trolls is not an easy task either. Kinda messy too!
  22. ^Oh, I'm sure Screamscape knows.
  23. No announcement yet.
  24. I'm going to have to get my wife to get me a KIC shirt for Christmas! They are pretty cool.
  25. I agree Tggr. My first job was a dishwasher at a Mexican restaurant. Not the most glorious job, but my co-workers (who I became friends with)and I took great pride in what we did. And so, in doing that, I was moved up three different times to two other jobs and later a supervisor position in one of those jobs as a result. If an employer or manager sees that you are doing the lowliest of jobs with pride, it really means something most of the time. At that time, minimum wage was something like 3 dollars and change. I lived on my own and had just enough to chip in with my roommates on a Coors party ball. Good times!
