I am getting a Gold Season Pass with all of the add-ons. What I have yet to decide is which Cedar Fair Park will get the transaction and be referred to as my "Home" Park.

Tickets were still available just shy of two weeks after being on sale, so as a card-carrying member of ACE, I decided I’m not sitting this one out and got a ticket.

The Tower Topics podcast, with three episodes a week dropping, would be an opportunity for the park to get word out about these specials in front of an audience that has interest in Kings Island. Picture this: The executive chef or someone else from the culinary team is on the podcast, sharing with excitement what they’re cooking up, and the audience is engaged and wants to visit the park and spend their money to try these items during the limited time they’re available. But it’s just a picture.

That’s a miss.

It was done during my years there. Sometimes it was my decision. Other times it may have been requested by one of the divisions at the park, or the ride manufacturer. I wanted people to see rides testing. It generates interest, excitement and anticipation. That was not a reason I turned off a webcam. Others had different thoughts on that.

It's not a state thing. It's a decision a park would make.

They don’t want you to see the train for Snoopy’s Soap Box Racers has been delivered and taken to the ride, nor do they want anyone to see it testing when that begins.

@BuddaH1994 and I will be talking about the 2024 Early Rides Lineup in an upcoming episode of Tower Topics. We'll discuss some ideas on how to make this benefit better; offer more value for passholders.

A dedicated Mac & Cheese place would have been a good fit for this location. Or return it back to what it originally was as the Sweet Tooth and sell ice cream and cotton candy. That would be a better fit in Coney Mall than a place to get adult beverages.

I bought a 2024 KK season pass. I'm looking forward to the different events.

Tony Clark has done a great job keeping Cedar Point fans and roller coaster enthusiasts informed and engaged about Top Thrill 2 with the series of updates he’s done. Because of his efforts, he’s enhanced the anticipation and excitement for the ride’s opening in May.

The tentative schedule is out, and it will be an incredible event for those able to secure a ticket!

It’s important when you’re in a communications and storytelling position that you have an understanding of who your audience is, and what they want and need to succeed in the role.

Hopefully the ERT lineup each day, what the tours are, who the industry speakers are, and what’s on the menu for the catered meals is made available before tickets go on sale so ACE members know what they’re paying for.

While eating some pancakes this morning at a restaurant in Pigeon Forge, I wrote a construction update based on the information the Kings Island Team has been willing to share with park fans. “While the Soap Box Racers are gearing up for action, we’re thrilled to share the latest on the makeover happening around the new Camp Snoopy-themed kids’ area. Drumroll, please! This spring, we say hello to Woodstock’s Air Rail, formerly known as Flying Ace Aerial Chase. Picture this: Woodstock’s in charge of delivering all the important Camp Snoopy mail, and the roller coaster is getting a nature-inspired facelift to fit the theme. Imagine a ride through a tree—the track is being painted green to represent leaves and the structure brown for the trunk and branches. It’s going to be a literal thrill for kids and their parents through the heart of nature! But what about the ride itself? Woodstock’s Air Rail, an inverted roller coaster by Vekoma (the same manufacturer for Soap Box Racers), will take you on a wild journey. The adventure kicks off with a 90-degree turn, then it’s off to conquer a double helix to the left. Hold on tight as you zoom under the lift hill and soar over the station like you could touch the sky with your feet. A couple more twists and turns later, and you’re coasting into the brakes and back into the station. Oh, and for those roller coaster enthusiasts who love details: it’s single train, 10 cars, with riders seated 2 across in a single row, making it a total joyride for 20 excited thrill-seekers. Our award-winning kids’ area just got a whole lot more exhilarating — Woodstock style! BTW — For those who like to keep track, Woodstock’s Air Rail is not a new credit.”
