I hope I like it when I see it. It just seems invasive into this area... @Captain Nemo summed it up really well.

2021 Regular Season Entertainment
I'm generally supportive of what KI does. I know they have done a wonderful job with the blows they have been dealt, and I don't like to make decisions about things before I see and experience them. That being said, I think the concept art looks terrible. I don't like the industrial light/sound rafters--it looks Paramounty. I'll reserve judgement on the performance itself until I see it, but it looks like a small space for a large event. The Rivertown and PS shows excite me.

Because they haven't it up that way at the Brew House. (ba-da-ching). Sorry, I couldn't resist.- Robb Alvey Retiring
The first two coaster friends I made were part of Club TPR and we remain good friends to this day (met at Coasterstock '15). I think every coaster club has people that could this type of enthusiast. When I get to know people from other organizations, they often comment that I don't fit the stereotype of the club i am in. I'll take the compliment any day- When does a brand become problematic?
He just likes the attention.- When does a brand become problematic?
@coaster sally...I'm sorry my post confused you. What can I clarify?- When does a brand become problematic?
That is lke comparing apples to oranges, though. CF standardizes things (uniforms, SOPs, etc) across their properties, but the only thing that screams that it is a CF property is the Cedar Fair SUPERVISOR shirt that they wear While the parks have similiar "feels" they maintain a unique identifty. Investors may want to put a Six Flags banner they open overseas, wth SIX collecting a royalty fee, but how many have actually opened? The few they had were sold off or ended when SIX had the mid 00's problems and the mega projects in China and the Middle East are yet to come to fruition. (I think I remember China was cancelled). If CF chose to go international, I don't think we would see Cedar Fair-Dubai or even Kings Island-Dubai (how about Dubai's Adventure?). I thnk we would see a management fee or a consulting fee. If the park fails, much less risky than having a brand association.- Kings Island Raises Pay for Seasonal Associates
That is a touchy subject. Can you imagine if last year you made $10/hr, this year you are $13/hr and when you return next year (with another year of experience) at $11/hr? It is going to take higher wages to convince people to work instead of collect unemployment. Many people I know cannot find people to work because they make more on unemployment. Prices have already started to increase in the marketplace. (other things factor into this, too, not just labor).- Kings Island 2021 Food News and Reviews
Chef Nate has been at the park for as long as I can say I am an enthusiast (2014). He was nice when I spoke with him at Coasterstock 2015.- Soak City will be open but with reservations
That I am not sure of. But my point was that it will be impossible to effectively wear a mask in a waterpark. The standard masks will disintegrate, N95s are not effective when moist/damp/wet. So if an asymptomatic carrier is in the park, shedding the virus, s/he will do so unknowingly. Vaccinated people can still contract the virus and shed it (they just will recover quicker and likely have less long term effects). And then there is the fact that water rides/attractions/pools naturally cause mucus secretion/spitting out of water---does not seem like a place someone who is concerned with the virus would want to be. (and yes, I know the treated water should neutralize the virus and bacteria from the mucus/salivaa/other biohazardous body fluids, but it is still gross to me! LOL)- Soak City will be open but with reservations
If one is a strict mask-wearer, I could not see much of a desire to visit the waterpark this year. A waterpark , without mask use, seems akin to covid-kazi. So, for the ones who are laissez-faire about mask usage, they can hop on the KI&MV RR and go to the drypark, happily and (potentially) spreading Covid-19 all along the way. Then again, parks in the SIX chain, HW and KK have dry and waterparks intermingled and have had no cases traced back to waterpark or drypark admission.- -3 +3 Game
The Crypt-KCKC Junkyard Coaster-Original Antique Autos--Les Taxis and Livery Company (forgot the specific name) Barren splashdown for Diamondback--richly landscaped nature area. Honorable mentions: The Area Formerly Known as Coney Mall-Coney Mall sign back Oktoberfest-German stuff Action Zone-landscaping and return to Adventure Village or Haunted Hill (new thieme)- Controversial opinions that'll get you punched by a KI fan
I don't know if I can disagree with you (because of the premise of this thread). But I do think removing the trees actually made International Street look better. To me, it gives more scale and grandeur to the atmosphere. I do miss the shade they provided, though!- Controversial opinions that'll get you punched by a KI fan
Blue Ice Cream sucks. *NOTE: the opinion expressed above is not necessarily the opinion of the author, the webmaster or Microfoft.- Merging two chains
Since SEAS is a publically traded company with loads of debt, I dont think Herschend could swallow it. I could see SEAS being carved up into pieces.- I’m Writing the First KI History Book!
You all will love it. I have learned so much.- Raising Awareness for SFOT
I have never understood the reason why people want to fight at a park. I've heard about these at Carowinds, Kings Dominion, Dorney, Over Georgia, St Louis and Magic Mountain. I've heard of some skirmishes at KI, but nothing stands out in my mind since I "got into" parks a few years ago.- Kings Island Haunt 2021
The Twelve Days of Christmas is a bit underwhelming, but Winterfest has limited rides already. I'd rather have it available with an underwhelming "show" than silent and the crowds queued up elsewhere.- Kings Island Haunt 2021
^Don't the trains have a restriction on the number of hours they can run in a season? If so, I'd rather it be used for Winterfest. As far as live performances, I'd think there would be tons of downtown between scenes and would be cost prohibitive.- Velocicoaster, Best in the world?
He got confused again. Pretty astute observation on your part.- I’m Writing the First KI History Book!
I got my copy today! So well done. I've read a bit and it is real and it is fantastic!- Kentucky Kingdom
I'm not sure. Here is the description from the KK Season Passholder group on Facebook, from the park's social media coordinator: *NEW for 2021* Yogi Bear – The Wild Ride Everyone’s favorite bear brings his meal-mooching ways to this zany new, 5D Ride adventure as he plots to swipe as many pic-a-nic baskets as he can from unsuspecting visitors of Jellystone Park.- Clementon Park Bought by Indiana Beach Holdings
