malem Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 Aha! Thanks. I expected the copy link option to be under the share options like most every other app. Facebook Inc. wants to keep users within its walled garden. 6 Quote
FoF96" Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 This ride would have looked amazing with either sky blue or light purple rails. 1 Quote
MDMC01 Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 I actually like the train colors, they look cool. However, one would think at least one train would be red as Storm Chaser's rails are red. 3 Quote
jbeast Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 I think the coaster and the trains look great. I'm just so happy to see a really fun looking RMC close to home! 6 Quote
FoF96" Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 Kentucky Kingdom just posted a picture on their Facebook of the second train. It is the same purple color I had imagined for the rails lol. 2 Quote
calakapepe Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 I think it's always nice to link to said photo/ article whenever possible https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1144377262263111&substory_index=0&id=150584424975738 I like this train much more.. On another note. Not sure if anyone else is aware, but the ending turn of the ride.. where there was depicted to be an outer-banked turn.. it has been replaced with another overbank instead. Must've been going too fast. 9 Quote

calakapepe Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 That's perfect haha But I reckon no little tikes will be climbing on board haha 5 Quote
Creed Bratton Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 I really do think they look bad though haha. The color scheme just screams MS Paint to me. Luckily that's not an important part of the ride https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1144072555626915&substory_index=0&id=150584424975738 MS Paint!! AHAHAH! I think it's always nice to link to said photo/ article whenever possible https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1144377262263111&substory_index=0&id=150584424975738 I like this train much more.. On another note. Not sure if anyone else is aware, but the ending turn of the ride.. where there was depicted to be an outer-banked turn.. it has been replaced with another overbank instead. Must've been going too fast. This train really looks like it was painted from MS Paint. I like purple, but that purple seems fake if that makes sense lol. 3 Quote
Gannersdaddy Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 Hmmm. While the track does look interesting, we have not had good experiences with the trains (restraints) from Lightning Run. I will be watching for actual ride reviews. 2 Quote
IBEW_Sparky Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 And speaking of appearances, why is it that every time I look at the logo on the train, I expect to see the tornado scribble to all of a sudden turn into the Tazmanian Devil? Regarding the colors, the purple especially, it reminds me of the colors the PAAS Easter Egg Coloring Kit dye eggs! 5 Quote
calakapepe Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 If they really want that yellow, I think they have to counteract it with a really prominent blue/ purple. Make it high contrast. I think, now that I look at it more, it's the dullness of the kiddie toy blue and purple coupled with the electric yellow, that makes it feel unbalanced.. *shrug* HahaHart was never a king at aesthetics though, was he?... Or park cohesiveness hehe 3 Quote
The Interpreter Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 Or letting in visitors from DC when he wonders just exactly why they are there. Equal access, anyone? 8 Quote
calakapepe Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 :/ ^^^ The colors will be higher contrast in person, but they're still dull-ish. All I did was boos the saturation, since the yellow was pretty much maxed out already, it hardly changed. I think it already looks way better than what they actually are.Deeper, richer base colors to counter act the blinding yellow. 3 Quote
IBEW_Sparky Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 And, keeping the tradition going of adding attractions that the competition to the northeast doesnt have, here is a sneak peek of whats coming in 2017 (provided there is a 2017 season).... 7 Quote
TheBEASTunchained Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 It seems as if I may be the only one here who feels this way, but I happen to really like the color combos and look of the trains! They are different, as is the ride itself, from any other RMC that's out there and that seperation really sets it on its own, which quite frankly impresses me. 2 Quote
BB1 Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 These coaster cars just scream Kentucky Kingdom. I personally don't like the purple on red rail idea, it just seems odd, i would have went with dark blue cars personally. 4 Quote
Steph88 Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 I'd have gone with grey cars and black rails, because "Storm Chaser". Purple and blue and yellow and red don't say "Storm Chaser" to me. 4 Quote
The Interpreter Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 Because it's on Grittendon Drive? 4 Quote
MDMC01 Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 NJFTP had the Big Red Cars... As did SFGAM... 1 Quote
Magenta Lizard Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 Great now I have Smooth Criminal stuck in my head. And not Michael Jackson, oh no, this: Granted it's pretty awesome! 7 Quote
Oldschool75 Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 Well think of it this way. If KK doesn't survive, Cedar Fair can probably pick up a cheap RMC and relocate it to a park about 100 miles Northeast. 4 Quote
calakapepe Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 We can only hope. Instead of it going 10+ hours away Quote
BeeastFarmer Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 I would never hope for an amusement park to fail. 5 Quote
